I use a dumb watch with big hands (so I can read it without glasses).

Good afternoon, jeffmoskin!

I watch the sun, myself ...

If it's up, then I figure it's daylight, and if it's not up, then I figure it's night ...

So I can't see what I would need a SMARTPHONE for, given that since I'm not going anywhere, I can't be either early or late ...

And so ...

Well said. If you have no where to go you can never be late.

Yogi might have said that.

Since I am not going anywhere, I find I am always right on time, and that is without a SMARTWATCH to keep me on schedule ...

Makes the sun look weird ...

And the day look grey ...

But I guess you already know that ...

Isn't sharing just great?

On another note, in the end, for all his theories, Marx was a loser and an idiot and anyone who takes his theories seriously has to be considered a moron ...

Not so. A very astute analyst of capitalism and its problems. Not so much on Socialism as the great solution.

Marx figured that by organizing the workers to strike they could gain leverage on the owners who needed their labor to make the goods. Didn't account for scabs or for advances in labor saving machines.

Today, with automation and AI, Marx's theories for a "dictatorship of the proletariat" are ancient history.

But his analysis of capitalism, with its terminal phase being "finance capitalism" looks too familiar to ignore.

Marx never was able to hold down a real job and but for the good graces of Engels, Marx would have died a bum in a gutter somewhere ...
