On another note, when tRUMP gets out there running his mouth on the campaign trail, and generating all that hot air, it gets the wind to blowing up this way something fierce ...

I noticed today that I have a tree out front snapped in half like a toothpick as a result ...

They said they played at a neutral field, but there weren't any fans in the stands allowed, were there?

These high-def TV's based on circuit boards remind me of the fate of the venerable hand-made Swiss watch once the highly-accurate timers used in atomic bombs became commercially available ...

At that point, every watch using that timer was as accurate or more accurate than the hand-made Swiss watch, which negated their advertising power ...

So the marketing strategies had to switch, because everybody's watch was as accurate as everybody else's ...

So it shifted to styling which is why the Swatches came out and were made in limited runs, with the style always changing to attract new buyers ...

Now, every high-def TV is the same as every other one, right, as far as the high-def goes?

The Library of Economics and Liberty

Democracy in Deficit: The Political Legacy of Lord Keynes

By James M. Buchanan and Richard E. Wagner

If citizens are fully informed about the ultimate consequences of alternative policy choices, and if they are rational, they should reject political office seekers or officeholders who are fiscally irresponsible.

They should not lend indirect approval to inflation-inducing monetary and fiscal policy; they should not sanction cumulatively increasing budget deficits and the public-sector bias which results.

Yet we seem to observe precisely such outcomes.

And while we wait to see if the Dodgers can take it all the way ...

Citizens can only be "informed" if they are not lied to by Fox News and their kind. In fairness, CNN and MSNBC are biased the other way, but not quite so other-worldly as Fox.

Daniel Patrick Moynahan once remarked that "Everybody is entitled to his own opinion, but not his own facts." Well, we are all in news silos, depending on the channel selected. So how can we have a meaningful dialog about the issues of our time when CNN is carping about tRUMPS tax returns and Fox is still asking for Hillary's emails?

On another note, now that you have a new HI-DEF TV, you ought to be much better able to appreciate the debate between tRUMP and "Corn Pop" Biden tonight, especially since they will able to mute tRUMP so you can't hear a word he says ...
