Paul Plante says :

Speaking about not being prepared, which is an understatement, given our public health surveillance system in New York, not surprisingly the epicenter of this COVID CRISIS, was purposefully dismantled by the Cuomo’s, father Mario and son Andy, and putting control of people’s healthcare during this crisis into the hands of a hack lawyer who knows absolutely nothing about public health or medicine, yet still gives out orders for people’s treatment as if he were qualified to practice medicine, let’s go back for a moment to his “Gov Andrew Cuomo New York COVID-19 Briefing Transcript April 6,” on the subject of all the ventilators Doctor Andy is ordering people to be put on, to wit:

Speaker 5: What percentage of available ventilators in New York are being used today?

Gov. Andrew Cuomo: All of them.

We’re beyond capacity.

Speaker 6: What about the remaining stockpile, how much remains in the state’s stockpile?

Gov. Andrew Cuomo: We’re beyond capacity.

We are into the plan B, C, D that we outlined, right.

We are into using BiPAP machines instead of ventilators.

We’re into splitting ventilators, turning two into one with two sets of tubes.

We are into all backup plans that we had.

Speaker 7: So how many ventilators are still in the state stockpile though at this point?

Gov. Andrew Cuomo: The stockpile, I don’t know, I can get you the number, but we are over capacity for the number of ventilators in the whole system.

We’re using BiPAP machines, we’re using, splitting, et cetera.

Speaker 7: I guess that begs the question, why not … if there are still ventilators in the state stockpile, why don’t you send them to New York, to the city?

Gov. Andrew Cuomo: No, we don’t have anyone who says they need them now, who doesn’t have them.

Speaker 7: But you just said they’re over capacity.

Gov. Andrew Cuomo: Well, they’re using plan B, C, D.

We can’t give everybody a ventilator for every situation.

We have 9,000 BiPAP machines, for example.

We’re using the BiPAP machines, we’re using the other machines.

Speaker 14: [inaudible] have been moved to downstate?

Gov. Andrew Cuomo: We are moving ventilators now among the system.

When someone has a change in patient load and they have additional ventilators, we move ventilators.

But we have moved thousands and thousands of ventilators throughout the system.

We’ve acquired thousands and thousands of ventilators.

I also want to thank Oregon for sending ventilators.

I want to thank the State of Washington for releasing ventilators and suggest that they be sent here.

I want to thank California that also this morning released ventilators because they thought that they could be helpful to New York.

That is the right attitude.

That’s the only way we do this as a nation.

We’re going to have to be flexible and handle the surge as it moves across the country.

That’s just what we’re doing here in this state.

Surges in Nassau, one night we move assets to Nassau.

It surges in Rockland, we move assets to Rockland.

So that’s the only way we’re going to do it because, well, the federal stockpile, federal stockpile, if the federal stockpile has 9,000 ventilators or 10,000 ventilators, that’s not going to do, it’s not going to be enough for a nation, right?

end quotes

Now, let us go to the New York Post to see what a real doctor treating COVID patients has to say about the medical advice the ignorant hack thug lawyer Andy Cuomo is forcing on people with all these ventilators, which not surprisingly, are doing more harm than good, to wit:

“NYC doctor says high ventilator settings damage coronavirus patients’ lungs”

By Lorena Mongelli, Jackie Salo and Bruce Golding

April 6, 2020 | 3:03pm

A Brooklyn doctor is warning that critically ill coronavirus patients are being inadvertently harmed by the very same breathing machines being used to keep them alive.

In a video posted on YouTube, Dr. Cameron Kyle-Sidell, an emergency medicine physician at Maimonides Medical Center, said that “we are putting breathing tubes in people and putting them on ventilators and dialing up the pressure to open up their lungs.”

“I’ve talked to doctors all around the country and it is becoming increasingly clear that the pressure we’re providing may be hurting their lungs, that it is highly likely that the high pressures we’re using are damaging the lungs of the patients we are putting the breathing tubes in,” he said in a two-minute video he posted Wednesday.

end quotes

There is what happens in a third-world socialist dictatorship where the GREAT LEADER, be it a Saddam Hussein, or Idi Amin, and “Pa Pa Doc” Duvalier, or in this case, a hack lawyer like Andy Cuomo, thinks they are the smartest person in the room, especially when it comes to people’s health care, which GREAT LEADER Andy Cuomo has never had any concerns about before (see, TALK-1300 REPORT viewtopic.php?f=16&t=139 ) – they end up hurting and killing people!

Getting back to the NY Post article:

Kyle-Sidell, who’s board-certified in emergency medicine, didn’t return a message from The Post, but he told WebMd’s Medscape website that his beliefs led him to “step down from my position in the ICU.”

“We ran into an impasse where I could not morally, in a patient-doctor relationship, I could not continue the current protocols which again, are the protocols at the top hospitals in the country,” he said in a video interview posted Monday.

“So now I’m back in the ER where we are setting up slightly different ventilation strategies.”

end quotes

When he refers to current protocols in New York state, he is referring to Edicts of Andy Cuomo that everyone with COVID be put on a ventilator, which takes us back to the NY Post, as follows:

In his Wednesday YouTube video, Kyle-Sidell described the situation involving the ventilator settings as “not our fault.”

“We didn’t know.”

end quotes

Nor does Andy Cuomo and that gutless weakling Howie Zucker, who is Cuomo’s health commissioner, but that doesn’t stop Andy from issuing his orders to ventilate everyone, because Andy always knows best.

Getting back to the Post:

But Kyle-Sidell insisted that “we need to change those protocols” and cautioned that “the time for us to change them is rapidly diminishing.”

“COVID-positive patients need oxygen.”

“They do not need pressure,” he said.

“They will need ventilators — but they must be programmed differently.”

end quotes

And of course, that is going to have to be approved by Saddam Cuomo, who is the man in charge here, and if that change is going to make Andy look stupid or a fool, or incompetent, it will not happen, and Cuomo will make this doctor out to be incompetent, instead, because if there is one thing you don’t do with a thug like Andy Cuomo who rules by instilling fear in people, it’s to talk back to him and tell him he is wrong.

As to COVID, this is what a real doctor has to say about it:

In another video posted Sunday, Kyle-Sidell described COVID-19 as “a disease that does not make sense to us — a disease for which our usual treatment does not work.”

“Some are questioning whether this is a lung disease causing blood problems or a blood disease causing lung problems,” he said.

“I don’t know what it is, but I know that I have never seen it before.”

“People are dying of a disease we don’t understand, thousand of people, old and young, and yes, there are young people dying.”

Kyle-Sidell has also said that “COVID-19 lung disease, as far as I can see, is not a pneumonia” but seems to be “some kind of viral-induced disease most resembling high altitude sickness.”

“It is as if tens of thousands of my fellow New Yorkers are on a plane at 30,000 feet and the cabin pressure is slowly being let out,” he said in a video posted Tuesday.

“These patients are slowly being starved of oxygen … and while they look like patients absolutely on the brink of death, they do not look like patients dying of pneumonia.”

James Cai, a physician assistant who was New Jersey’s first coronavirus patient, told The Post that he agreed with Kyle-Sidell’s observations and conclusions, based on his own experience in beating the deadly disease.

Cai noted that the “muscle of the lung in ARDS patient doesn’t work properly but muscle in COVID-19 patient works just fine.”

“So [a] ventilator is actually doing more harm to [the] lung when it happens.”

“It is a new disease and none of the American doctors have encountered it in their lives, not in textbook and they are figuring things out by experience!” he added.

“They really need help because thousands of thousands [of] Americans’ lives are on the line!”

end quotes

What they really need is for this stupid Andy Cuomo to shut his ******* running mouth and go to his room and stay there, out of sight, until this COVID thing is over, so the real professionals can do their work without that idiot looking over their shoulder and telling them how things should be done.

Hey Andy, how many people have you killed today with your medical advice?

The candid world would truly like to know.

Paul Plante says:

Talk about a thread shining a spotlight on muck needing to be raked, and raked real good, right down to the bedrock, and a can of worms needing its lid ripped off, but good, it is this thread concerning what is going on in New York, where it is now quite possible and very probable that the wits of Andy Cuomo, the autocratic, tyrannical, dictatorial Democratic Socialist governor of the state, have slipped their moorings, rendering Andy, who according to the knowledgeable Albany, New York Times Union, rules by fear, likely as insane as was George III of England at the time of the American Revolution, or Saddam Hussein when he tried to make Kuwait another province of Iraq.

As a former public health engineer in corrupt New York, I have been combing though as many news clippings as I can find on the internet in order to put together a chronology of the events leading up to what can only be called a fiasco and cluster**** after the CDC sent out an alert about COVID on 8 January 2020 to state and local health officers, state and local epidemiologists, state and local laboratory directors, public information officers, HAN coordinators, and clinician organizations.

So there is a key date in this puzzle – 8 January 2020, the alarm buzzer was sounded, or at least somebody pressed the button with that alert, which would have gone to not only the state health commissioner, a worthless lackey of Andy Cuomo’s, but right down to every county health officer, of which I used to be one, so I know the warning system quite well, as well as knowing that in New York, that system has largely been gutted by Andy Cuomo and his father Mario, but that is old news now, we know the system is broken, so moving right along, we come to an article in the Rochester Democrat and Chronicle entitled “Coronavirus deaths in New York projected at 16,000 or more; NYC patients moved upstate” by Joseph Spector on April 1, 2020, which is 83 days AFTER the initial CDC alert, where we were informed as follows concerning the numbers:

ALBANY – 16,000 deaths in New York.

That was the sobering projection Gov. Andrew Cuomo displayed Wednesday as the coronavirus death toll in New York approached 2,000 and New York City hospitals started shipping patients for the first time upstate.

“This virus has been ahead of us since day one,” Cuomo said at his daily briefing at the state Capitol.

Cuomo based his remarks off of modeling done by the Institute for Health Metrics and Evaluation, founded by Bill and Melinda Gates that estimated about 100,000 deaths nationwide as the virus spreads across the U.S.

end quotes

So there is where Andy is getting his numbers from, and having been very vocal about those numbers, now Andy has to defend them, lest he look like he doesn’t know what he is talking about, which takes us back to that statement about “New York City hospitals started shipping patients for the first time upstate,” and from there to an article in Saratoga Living entitled “Governor Cuomo: COVID-19 Patients From NYC Have Been Moved To Albany Med” by Will Levith on 1 April 2020, to wit:

According to New York Governor Andrew Cuomo, the Capital Region is now offering up care and hospital beds to New York City COVID-19 patients.

In his April 1 press conference, the governor was asked by a journalist whether patients in New York City had been moved to Albany Medical Center and Ellis Hospital in Schenectady, and Cuomo responded “yes,” at least to the Albany Med question.

“This is one state, this is one family of New York,” said Cuomo.

quotes

If somebody wanted or needed any more proof that Cuomo is insane, they need go no further than that statement right there about “(T)his is one state, this is one family of New York,” so that in the mind of Andy Cuomo, the right thing to do, in the language of Hussein Obama, is to ship COVID patients including the NYC homeless out of NYC to upstate, which is largely rural, to insure its spread throughout the whole state, as we can see from a WGRZ article entitled “Every county in NYS now has confirmed case of coronavirus (COVID-19)” on April 2, 2020, to wit:

ALBANY, N.Y. — Every county in NYS now has a confirmed case of coronavirus (COVID-19).

That’s according to New York Governor Andrew Cuomo.

end quotes

Every county in New York state, many of them rural, now have COVID because Andy Cuomo made sure they would by sending out COVID patients from NYC like “smallpox blankets” to insure its spread, which goes against everything in the Public Health Law, which Andy has scrapped along with our Constitution, which takes us back to a NEWSWEEK article entitled “New York Governor Dismisses Rumors About NYC Quarantine, Says ‘I Have No Interest'” by Jenni Fink on 3/17/20, 69 days AFTER the CDC alert on 8 January, to wit:

As New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio floated the possibility of a “shelter in place” order, New York Governor Andrew Cuomo denied that a full-blown lockdown of the Big Apple was looming.

New York state has had the largest outbreak of cases in the U.S. and rumors of officials locking down New York City have been swirling for days, causing some to leave the city or stockpile supplies.

On Tuesday, Cuomo adamantly dismissed the rumors, saying they were “not true” and were being fueled by people’s fears and anxieties.

He claimed that it cannot happen legally because implementing a quarantine would require state approval and he has “no interest” and “no plan” to quarantine any city in the state because he does not want to incite panic.

end quotes

Right after that, not surprisingly, and this is according to published statistics available to anyone who wants to take the time to wade through all this bull**** from Andy Cuomo, COVID began a rapid spread in upstate counties 160 miles to the north of NYC, and now, it is everywhere.

And that is only the beginning of this sorry tale of what happens when a people put someone insane in positions of power over them.

This really has nothing to do with public health anymore – rather, it has become political, with Andy Cuomo now becoming the face of the Democrat party push against Trump, who had absolutely no role to play here, as we see by going back to the language of the CDC alert, to wit:

This message was distributed to state and local health officers, state and local epidemiologists, state and local laboratory directors, public information officers, HAN coordinators, and clinician organizations.

end quotes

Andy Cuomo has become the next Democrat in line to gain national attention in attacking Trump, who didn’t drop any balls here, because he wasn’t even on the playing field, after Adam Schiff, the smarmy and unctuous Democrat congressman from Hollywood and Disneyland, made a complete fool of himself and the Democrats with their failed attempt to impeach Trump, and being the political hack that he is, Cuomo and the Democrats have to push this COVID crisis created by Andy Cuomo as far as they can leading up to the November presidential elections, and they need to jack the numbers up, by hook or crook, those time-tested Democrat methods, to make Trump look as bad as they can, as if those deaths were the fault of Trump, and not Andy Cuomo, who is being made out by the fawning, cowardly, sycophantic main-stream media as the KNIGHT IN WHITE SHINING ARMOR riding in on his white horse to save the day.

Paul Plante says:

That this is all a political dog-and-pony show on the part of Andy Cuomo, the autocratic, tyrannical, dictatorial Democratic Socialist governor of the state, a “GET TRUMP SHOW,” at the expense of the lives of the ordinary people of New York state, especially the elderly in Rensselaer County in upstate New York who are being found dead alone in their homes, who are simply pawns in this political game Andy Cuomo is playing with our lives in an effort to defeat Trump in November to assure complete Democrat control and one-party rule of our federal government, just as there is complete Democrat control and one party rule in New York and the Commonwealth of Virginia, it is only necessary to drop back to April 14, 2020, and the MARKETWATCH story “Cuomo invokes Alexander Hamilton in war of words with Trump over who has ‘ultimate authority’ on when to restart economy” by Quentin Fottrell, where was posted as follows concerning Andy’s very public spat with President Trump concerning the huge mess Andy Cuomo has created in New York by shipping people infected with COVID like so many “Smallpox Blankets" all over the state, to ensure the spread of the disease for political purposes, to wit:

New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo, a Democrat, and President Trump are embroiled in a war of words over who has the “ultimate authority” to reopen the economy.

As cases of COVID-19 continue to climb, the prospect that the state’s lockdown will continue for weeks, if not longer, also increases.

Cuomo said Tuesday that he would not get dragged into a fight with the president over who has the “ultimate authority” to restart the economy, but the Democratic governor later quoted the following fighting words by one of America’s founding fathers, Alexander Hamilton:

“The State governments possess inherent advantages, which will ever give them an influence and ascendancy over the National Government, and will for ever preclude the possibility of federal encroachments,” Secretary of the Treasury, Hamilton, said in a speech on the U.S. constitution.

“That their liberties, indeed, can be subverted by the federal head, is repugnant to every rule of political calculation,” Hamilton, said in the speech on the constitution to the New York Ratifying Convention, June 17, 1788. (New York ratified the constitution by a vote of 30-27.)

end quotes

Those are Hamilton quotes Andy lifted from Wikiquotes, and what on earth those quotes have anything to do with anything connected to this COVID CRISIS Andy Cuomo created frankly eludes me, and with respect to the autocratic, tyrannical, dictatorial Democratic Socialist governor of the state, in “The Farmer Refuted,” February 23, 1775, Alexander Hamilton stated thusly, and in the case of Andy Cuomo, it is dangerously true, to wit:

A fondness for power is implanted, in most men, and it is natural to abuse it, when acquired.

end quotes

In his speech to the New York Ratifying Convention, June 17, 1788, Alexander Hamilton also said:

Here sir, the people govern.

end quotes

But not no more, Al, not no more as we are now a conquered and defeated people in this state, where Andy Cuomo rules, instead.

And in his Speech to New York Constitutional Convention, 1787, again Hamilton spoke thusly:

“Gentlemen indulge too many unreasonable apprehensions of danger to the state governments; they seem to suppose that the moment you put men into a national council [federal government], they become corrupt and lose all their affection for their fellow citizens.”

end quotes

That too would apply to Andy Cuomo, which takes us back to that story as follows:

Earlier Tuesday, Cuomo vowed to remain above the political fray, and said at his daily press briefing: “This is not time for politics, and it’s no time to fight.”

“I put my hand out in total partnership with the president.”

“If he wants a fight, he’s not going to get it from me.”

end quotes

Uh, right, right, okay, Andy, but what about the mess you have made in New York state by shipping people infected with COVID from New York City into our upstate communities so that it has spread from New York City to every county in the state?

That has nothing to do with Trump, and everything to do with you, so why are you distracting us here trying to push the blame over to Trump, when the buck stops with you?

Getting back to that story:

On Monday, Cuomo told MSNBC, “The Constitution says we don’t have a king.”

end quotes

That’s right, Andy, our Constitution says we do not have a king in this state, so why have you suspended our laws and our Constitution as if you were one?

And from there we jump to another MARKETWATCH article entitled “Cuomo: Federal government should pay frontline workers ‘hazard pay’ for risking their lives during coronavirus pandemic” by Quentin Fottrell on April 20, 2020, where Andy politicizes this COVID CRISIS he created even further by making this about race, to wit:

New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo on Monday called on the federal government to pay frontline workers “hazard pay.”

“I am calling on the federal government to provide hazard pay to these frontline workers and give them a 50% bonus because they are the true heroes in this crisis,” he said.

“Essential public workers are the ones on the front lines every day carrying us through this crisis, and we must ensure their efforts and sacrifice are appropriately recognized,” Cuomo said.

“This crisis is not over yet, and as long as these workers continue to work and expose themselves to the virus, they should be properly compensated.”

Cuomo said people of color are disproportionately represented in delivery and child-care services, and one-third of frontline workers are members of low-income households.

His office cited data from the Center for Economic and Policy Research, which states that 41% of frontline workers are people of color.

Of those, 45% of public transit workers and 40% of health-care workers are people of color.

“We see the infection rate among African Americans and brown Americans higher proportionally than other groups,” Cuomo said.

“Why?”

“Because they were out there exposing themselves.”

end quotes

No, Andy, they have been exposed because for political reasons, you not only let this COVID spread, you facilitated and caused it to spread, and now, you are trying to shift that burden on these people over to the federal taxpayers as if they are now responsible for the harm you have caused society.

You are a clear and present danger to constitutional government and civilized society, Andy Cuomo, and for that reason you are unfit to hold high public office in New York, or anywhere else, for that matter, so do the right thing and resign!

THE CAPE CHARLES MIRROR April 23, 2020 at 9:50 pm

Paul Plante says:

As to all of these deaths alleged to be caused by COVID, the truth of the matter is that we will never know how much Andy Cuomo in New York state cooked the books to inflate the number as we can see by going back to a New York Post article entitled “Scores of ‘probable’ coronavirus deaths not counted in NYC tally” by Tina Moore and Craig McCarthy on April 7, 2020, where we had as follows:

Dozens — if not hundreds — of coronavirus deaths in New York City will not be included in the Big Apple’s grim tally, because victims died at home without being tested, The Post has learned.

end quotes

And WHOA, stop right there – how can they be called “coronavirus deaths” if they never were tested?

OH!

Right, right, because we need them to be called that to jack up the body count that Andy Cuomo and the Democrats are blaming on Trump, as if he were responsible for New York’s failed public health system instead of Andy Cuomo, who along with his father Mario, was the one who broke it.

So everybody who dies regardless of the actual cause is a coronavirus death, which takes us back to that article, to wit:

At the same time, city paramedics were answering hundreds of more calls for cardiac arrest that include COVID-19 symptoms — with the death count worse than “wartime.”

“Out of the 12 [cardiac cases], I did on Sunday 10 had COVID symptoms.”

“Flu-like symptoms, cough, etc.”

“Nobody made it back.”

“That’s going on all over the city,” said Anthony Almojera, vice president of FDNY, EMS union local 3621.

“There’s gotta be 200 a day… obviously are not all COVID, but they aren’t being tested,” he said.

end quotes

As to having flu-like symptoms, might that in fact be from the flu, and not COVID?

Here is what the CDC has to say about that:

Flu Symptoms

Influenza (flu) can cause mild to severe illness, and at times can lead to death.

Flu is different from a cold.

Flu usually comes on suddenly.

People who have flu often feel some or all of these symptoms:

* fever or feeling feverish/chills

* cough

* sore throat

* runny or stuffy nose

* muscle or body aches

* headaches

* fatigue (tiredness)

* some people may have vomiting and diarrhea, though this is more common in children than adults.

Most people who get flu will recover in a few days to less than two weeks, but some people will develop complications (such as pneumonia) as a result of flu, some of which can be life-threatening and result in death.

Sinus and ear infections are examples of moderate complications from flu, while pneumonia is a serious flu complication that can result from either influenza virus infection alone or from co-infection of flu virus and bacteria.

Other possible serious complications triggered by flu can include inflammation of the heart (myocarditis), brain (encephalitis) or muscle (myositis, rhabdomyolysis) tissues, and multi-organ failure (for example, respiratory and kidney failure).

Flu virus infection of the respiratory tract can trigger an extreme inflammatory response in the body and can lead to sepsis, the body’s life-threatening response to infection.

Flu also can make chronic medical problems worse.

end quotes

So the flu can and does kill people and has symptoms similar to COVID, but its all about COVID now, and how gallantly and forcefully Democratic Socialist governor of New York Andy Cuomo is doing dealing with this “invisible enemy,” as he calls it, so any and all deaths are called COVID instead, which takes us back to the story, as follows:

New York City’s death toll — which surged past 3,000 on Tuesday — only includes the number of confirmed cases.

The city does not test people for the disease after they’ve died — even if they end up in the Medical Examiner’s Office after fighting coronavirus-like symptoms.

The OCME has reported these deaths to the Health Department as “probable” but it was unknown how many of these cases were, and the city wouldn’t say whether bodies were being tested when The Post asked two weeks ago.

The OCME confirmed to WNYC that bodies were not being tested.

In at least two cases the police responded to, a medical examiner released the bodies directly to the funeral home, cop sources said.

Almojera said EMS has had a number of similar cases where the bodies skipped the city morgue.

A spokeswoman for the OCME did not respond for comment.

But experts say without looking at the totality of cases, it could severely affect the next person to contract the virus.

“If deaths aren’t a reliable marker, then we are in really big trouble,” said Susan Hassig, an associate professor of epidemiology at Tulane University in New Orleans.

Typically, predicting the apex or plateau of the virus’s infection curve is based largely on the death rate, Hassig said.

That modeling determines how hospitals and state and city officials will shift their response during the outbreak.

“The fact that it is an underestimate … the extent to which the models are being used in New York, it could be substantial,” Hassig said.

“If it’s 100 cases, that’s a big number.”

“If it progressing and gets even worse … it’s problematic.”

A spokeswoman for the mayor’s office said Tuesday the OCME and Health Department were “working together to include into their reports deaths that may be linked to COVID but not lab-confirmed that occur at home.”

end quotes

The OCME and Health Department were “working together to include into their reports deaths that may be linked to COVID but not lab-confirmed that occur at home?”

Isn’t that an example of cooking the books here to jack up the death total to make Trump look bad in an election year?

But of course it is, which takes us back to 8 January 2020 and the CDC official CDC Health Advisory distributed via the CDC Health Alert Network to state and local health officers, state and local epidemiologists, state and local laboratory directors, public information officers, HAN coordinators, and clinician organizations, January 8, 2020, 1615 ET (04:15 PM ET), CDCHAN-00424, where in the section “Recommendations for Health Care Providers,” these clear warnings were posted as follows, to wit:

1. Providers should consider pneumonia related to the cluster for patients with severe respiratory symptoms who traveled to Wuhan since December 1, 2019 and had onset of illness within two weeks of returning, and who do not have another known diagnosis that would explain their illness.

Providers should notify infection control personnel and local and state health departments immediately if any patients meet these criteria.

State health departments should notify CDC after identifying a case under investigation by calling CDC’s Emergency Operations Center at (770) 488-7100.

end quotes

Keep that date in mind – 8 January 2020, and ask yourself, with that warning sent to Andy Cuomo’s “health commissioner” the worthless Howie Zucker, who is noteworthy for his very toothy smile, on 8 January 202, how is it that Andy Cuomo can honestly be saying in the Rochester Democrat and Chronicle article entitled “Coronavirus deaths in New York projected at 16,000 or more; NYC patients moved upstate” by Joseph Spector on April 1, 2020, 83 days AFTER the initial CDC alert, that “(T)his virus has been ahead of us since day one?”

The virus was ahead of Andy Cuomo and Howie Zucker from Day One because Andy and Howie were both asleep at the switch, and that for months

So how many people died in that time because of their grossly negligent response?

Getting back to the CDC alert:

2. Multiple respiratory tract specimens should be collected from persons with infections suspected to be associated with this cluster, including nasopharyngeal, nasal, and throat swabs.

Patients with severe respiratory disease also should have lower respiratory tract specimens collected, if possible.

Consider saving urine, stool, serum, and respiratory pathology specimens if available.

end quotes

How many Ph.D’s or JD’s or medical degrees or degrees in rocket science does Howie Zucker need to understand those three recommendations and to make sure that in New York state they were followed?

But since Howie, with his nice toothy smile that makes people feel like they like him as their doctor, which is important for a doctor, having that comforting smile, is nothing more than a figurehead, with Andy Cuomo making the real medical decisions as an autocratic dictator should, to show the people he is the man in charge, it doesn’t make a difference whether Howie understood those words or not, since nothing was done about that alert in New York state until it was way too late, which again takes us back to the CDC alert, to wit:

3. Although the etiology and transmissibility have yet to be determined, and to date, no human-to-human transmission has been reported and no health care providers have been reported ill, CDC currently recommends a cautious approach to symptomatic patients with a history of travel to Wuhan City.

Such patients should be asked to wear a surgical mask as soon as they are identified and be evaluated in a private room with the door closed.

Personnel entering the room to evaluate the patient should use contact precautions and wear an N95 disposable facepiece respirator.

For patients admitted for inpatient care, contact and airborne isolation precautions, in addition to standard precautions, are recommended until further information becomes available.

end quotes

And stop the presses right there at that phrase “(F)or patients admitted for inpatient care, airborne isolation precautions, in addition to standard precautions, are recommended,” because to medical personnel, it is not an empty phrase, as we can see, for example, from the Children’s Hospital Minnesota website on the subject, to wit:

* What are airborne precautions?

Some germs are easily spread in the air to other patients.

Airborne precautions are a way of preventing this spread.

* Why is my child in airborne precautions?

Your child is in airborne precautions because of the type of illness he or she has, or may have.

The precautions are to decrease the chance others will catch the germs.

* What will be done to prevent the spread of germs?

Your child will be in a special isolation room called an “airborne infection isolation” or “negative air flow” room.

The door will be closed at all times.

Your child must stay in the room, and can only come out for certain tests, with special precautions in place.

A sign on the door to your child’s room lets staff know that your child is in airborne precautions.

end quotes

According to the Air Innovations website, a negative pressure room uses lower air pressure to allow outside air into the segregated environment.

This traps and keeps potentially harmful particles within the negative pressure room by preventing internal air from leaving the space.

Negative pressure rooms in medical facilities isolate patients with infectious conditions and protect people outside the room from exposure.

end quotes

Had that guidance from the CDC been followed by New York state back in January, how many fewer people would have died?

Of course, it is too late for that now, because as Andy Cuomo said above in the Rochester Democrat and Chronicle article entitled “Coronavirus deaths in New York projected at 16,000 or more; NYC patients moved upstate” by Joseph Spector on April 1, 2020, 83 days AFTER the initial CDC alert, COVID has been out ahead of Andy and Howie Zucker, the “smiler,” since day one, and a lot of people are now dead, as a result, which takes us to an article in the medical journal STAT entitled “With ventilators running out, doctors say the machines are overused for Covid-19” by Sharon on April 8, 2020, where we had:

One problem, though, is that CPAP and other positive-pressure machines pose a risk to health care workers, he said.

The devices push aerosolized virus particles into the air, where anyone entering the patient’s room can inhale them.

end quotes

So how many people caught COVID in the hospitals because Andy Cuomo had people on those types of ventilators in positive pressure rooms, where the aerosolized virus particles could spread like anthrax spores?

And again, we will never know.

But clearly, had that CDC alert been acted on in a timely manner, it is safe to say this COVID crisis created by Andy Cuomo would not have been as bad as it has been.

Which takes us to the close here with a Washington Post story just out entitled “In New York’s largest hospital system, 88 percent of coronavirus patients on ventilators didn’t make it” by Ariana Eunjung Cha on 23 April 2020, to wit:

Throughout March, as the pandemic gained momentum in the United States, much of the preparations focused on the breathing machines that were supposed to save everyone’s lives.

New York State Gov. Andrew M. Cuomo (D) and President Trump sparred over how many ventilators the state was short.

Now five weeks into the crisis, a paper published in the journal JAMA about New York State’s largest health system suggests a reality that like so much else about the novel coronavirus, confounds our early expectations.

Researchers found that 20 percent of all those hospitalized died — a finding that’s similar to the percentage who perish in normal times among those who are admitted for respiratory distress.

But the numbers diverge more for the critically ill put on ventilators.

Eighty-eight percent of the 320 covid-19 patients on ventilators who were tracked in the study died.

end quotes

Hmmmm.

How about that.

But did they still get a bill from the hospital for being put on the ventilator?

Of course!

It is a for-profit system, afterall.

Paul Plante says :

What a clown show this COVID CRISIS CLUSTER**** is all the way around, where just this morning we had Anne Schuchat, principal deputy director of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, informing us that not surprisingly, the inept and incompetent U.S. government was slow to understand how much coronavirus was spreading from Europe, which helped drive the acceleration of outbreaks across the nation, stating “We clearly didn’t recognize the full importations that were happening.”

If there is anyone surprised at that news, I would be surprised.

I believe that she is the same Anne Schuchat featured in a Rensselaer County Press Release entitled “Rensselaer County Officials Working with State and Federal Officials on Coronavirus Issue” on 3/2/20 who termed the spread of the illness nationally and in the state as “isolated” cases, causing Rensselaer County Executive Steve McLaughlin to tell the people of Rensselaer County “there is no need for undue concern or worry, we have been informed that New York State remains at a low risk for coronavirus.”

Which news update takes us to the operative existential question in this thread of “Is it legal, constitutional for Cape Charles to prohibit people from coming here?”

And that thought takes us to the further thought that as of now, the word “constitutional” in the United States of America no longer has any rational meaning, especially when government is closed down and there is no way to challenge all these various petty tyrants who have emerged from the woodwork like so many cockroaches to impose absolute authority over us at every level of government from the town right on up as if they were dictators, which they are in fact when you can’t go to court to challenge them.

As to that, consider the Albany, New York Times Union article “Churchill: This is Andrew Cuomo’s finest moment – New York’s governor has been the nation’s most authoritative voice during the pandemic” by Chris Churchill on March 22, 2020, to wit:

We’re essentially on lockdown.

It shouldn’t surprise you that not everybody supports that decision.

Here’s part of an email I received Friday from an attorney in Albany who asked that I not use his name:

“I would like to see a demonstration of the legal authority being relied on by Gov. Cuomo for his outrageous, draconian edicts which are needlessly destroying every aspect of the economy,” he wrote.

“This is a massive, disgraceful overreach, which will do far more harm to the people of this state than the consequences of virus spread.”

end quotes

And that is the last we ever heard on that subject.

Andy Cuomo, a thug known in his younger days as the “Prince of Darkness” because there was nothing dirty in politics that he would not stoop to, has closed down the courts so there can be no challenge to his action of suspending our Constitution while setting himself up as a virtual dictator in the mold of such luminaries as Idi Amin, or “PaPa Doc” Duvalier or Saddam Hussein, which takes us to this sentence from the OP above, to wit:

Beach towns and whole states are instituting restrictions on travel in an effort to protect their communities from COVID-19, noting that they do not want medical facilities overwhelmed.

end quotes

Which statement in its turn brings us to an article in the Washington Examiner entitled “Upstate New York officials leery of Cuomo plan to transfer NYC coronavirus patients around state” by Kerry Picket on April 01, 2020, where we learned as follows:

Rensselaer County Executive Steve McLaughlin, who issued a county health order that demands any out-of-county visitor to self-quarantine for 14 days, says Cuomo does not care about the needs of other counties in the state other than the regions where his Democratic political base lives.

end quotes

While there is a lot of truth to the statement that the thug Cuomo, who rules by fear, which doesn’t set well at all with people like myself who have bled for this country fighting others in foreign lands who also ruled by fear, doesn’t care about the people of the state outside of New York City, his political power base, the real issue is the statement that Rensselaer County Executive Steve McLaughlin, the same Steve McLaughlin who in a 3/2/20 Press Release told the people of Rensselaer County that “there is no need for undue concern or worry, we have been informed that New York State remains at a low risk for coronavirus,” issued a county health order that demands any out-of-county visitor to self-quarantine for 14 days

As to that order issued on 3/27/20, 25 days AFTER he told the people of Rensselaer County in a 3/2/20 Press Release that “there is no need for undue concern or worry, we have been informed that New York State remains at a low risk for coronavirus,” the Press Release states thusly, to wit:

Rensselaer County is taking new steps to protect county residents from the COVID-19 coronavirus outbreak, issuing directives to control non-essential travel and relocation from affected areas downstate, County Executive Steve McLaughlin announced.

The action comes after confirmed cases in Rensselaer County climbed to 45 on Friday.

“We are committed to fighting the spread of coronavirus in this county and see this as a common-sense approach that will protect those who live and work in Rensselaer County,” said McLaughlin.

The directives include an order from the Public Health Director to control non-essential travel from Westchester County and areas south, including New York City and Long Island.

Anyone from the affected areas traveling to Rensselaer County would be required to report to the county Health Department and subject to quarantine for 14 days.

Landlords would be prohibited from renting or leasing to prospective tenants from the affected areas while the order is in effect until review and approval by the Health Department.

McLaughlin said he would also be issuing an internal directive to have county departments and agencies refuse aid, assistance or special service to any persons known to have arrived from an affected area and who have not cleared quarantine or Health Department review.

“This will help send the message that Rensselaer County is fully engaged in using all available means to fight coronavirus.”

“Anyone moving up to our county from the affected areas should know that we take our resident’s public health very seriously and will not welcome those who do not adhere to these very basic methods to protect our people,” said McLaughlin.

end quotes

So there is an actual case of such orders being issued, which takes us to a Troy Record article entitled “COVID-19 cases continue to increase in Rensselaer County” by Nicholas Buonanno on March 28, 2020, where the ban on travel is again made mention of:

Once again McLaughlin discussed what he calls a “common sense” travel limit from downstate.

“As county executive, I have taken the common sense step of seeking to limit travel from affected areas in downstate to our county,” he said.

end quotes

A review of relevant documents such as the Constitution of the State of New York and the Rensselaer County Charter finds that if we were still a nation of RULE BY LAW, he would have no such authority, but this is now a third-world country with rule by thugs and despots where there is no longer such a thing as RULE BY LAW, where there is no longer such a thing as a court challenge of arbitrary and capricious orders by public officials who fancy themselves petty tin-pot, banana republic dictators, so in fact he does have that authority because he now has absolute power, not constitutionally-limited power, which takes us to a CBS 6 NEWS article entitled “Upstate Counties Concerned About COVID-19 Patient Transfers, Visitors From NYC” by Stephen Maugeri on March 29, 2020, to wit:

Gov. Cuomo has said upstate hospitals may have to take overflow from downstate, and vice versa, as the COVID-19 pandemic plays out.

Some Capital Region officials say they don’t want virus cases shipped up here.

County Executive Steve McLaughlin says on Friday, his county’s Public Health Director ordered any visitor to his county from downstate to report to the county health department and self-quarantine for 14 days.

He says landlords may not lease to a downstate visitor unless it’s approved by the health department.

end quotes

Because there is no law but the law as Steve McLaughlin says it will be, that is now the law.

Which in turn takes us to a battle brewing between McLaughlin, and KING Andy Cuomo who rules this state with an IRON FIST, as follows:

The Governor (Cuomo) issued an executive order on March 18 that states no locality can issue an executive order or emergency order without the approval of the state health department.

end quotes

If I didn’t know this was happening in real life, reading that KING Andy issued an executive order on March 18 that states no locality can issue an executive order or emergency order without the approval of the state health department, I would swear I was reading a spoof on government in TALES OF THE EXTREME BIZARRE, or National Lampoon, which takes us back to that article as follows:

Governor Cuomo’s senior advisor Rich Azzopardi says Rensselaer County’s order doesn’t carry the weight of law and isn’t enforceable.

McLaughlin says he’s up for a court battle if the state challenges his order.

“Do it.”

“Go ahead.”

“Tell the people of Rensselaer county that your authority is more powerful than their safety.”

“I can take that.”

“If they wanna sue us, that’s fine.” McLaughlin said.

end quotes

Boy, this BULL**** gives me a headache!

Welcome to the third-world, people, for the future is NOW!

Paul Plante says:

We have now reached a point in this nation of where everything about COVID in the mainstream media has to be treated with a great deal of suspicion as to its veracity, and here I am referring to the supposed COVID death count, as well as what these so-called “tests” are showing about who has been infected with COVID.

I personally have reached a point, based on my own daily researches, of where I truly think it is all a lot of hysterical and inflated BULL**** related to a variety of factors, all of them political, including the fact that this is a presidential election year where led by “Prince of Darkness” Andy Cuomo, the Democratic Socialist governor of New York who earned the sobriquet because there is no trick too dirty for Andy to use in the game of politics, which game he is playing to the hilt here, with his daily national television show where in his whiney, nasally, high-pitched and very irritating voice he is constantly attacking Trump and Mitch McConnell for “playing politics,” when it is Andy who is dominating that game, the Democrats are continuing their efforts to take over all three branches of our federal government to impose one-party rule on us, coupled with the fact that just months ago, Andy Cuomo was the leader of a state with a $6 BILLION budget shortfall due to Medicaid overpayments, read Medicaid fraud from New York City Medicaid Mills, and now we not only never hear another word about that, but Andy is expecting the federal taxpayers to bail him out, thanks to the aid and assistance of Nancy Pelosi.

So we needed a crisis that they could exploit to the max, and now we have one, and they are milking it for all it is worth, to the tune of $ TRILLIONS they have burned through in a matter of months, taking our national debt to over 100% of GDP!

We are now far enough into this BULL**** game that is being played on us by Cuomo and the Democrats and their sycophants and toadies and lackeys in the main-stream media, that the game becomes more and more transparent, as was the case just this morning with the Associated Press article “Health official says US missed some chances to slow virus” by Mike Stobbe, AP Medical Writer on 2 May 2020, to wit:

NEW YORK (AP) — The U.S. government was slow to understand how much coronavirus was spreading from Europe, which helped drive the acceleration of outbreaks across the nation, a top health official said Friday.

end quotes

Slow?

They were asleep at the switch, as we clearly see from a 2 March 2020 Rensselaer County Press Release, this being 54 days AFTER the CDC issued a public health alert about COVID to state and local health officers, state and local epidemiologists, state and local laboratory directors, public information officers, HAN coordinators, and clinician organizations, entitled “Rensselaer County Officials Working with State and Federal Officials on Coronavirus Issue,” where we were enlightened as to just how pathetically stupid the COVID response in New York state, the epicenter of COVID in the world, really was, to wit:

With confirmed cases of coronavirus in the nation and the state, Rensselaer County health officials took part in calls with the Centers for Disease Control and the New York State Department of Health regarding the issue.

At this time, there are no confirmed cases of coronavirus in the county.

Federal and state health officials have termed the spread of the illness nationally and in the state as “isolated” cases.

end quotes

Now, that was on March 2, 2020, 54 days or nearly two months AFTER the CDC issued a public health alert about COVID to state and local health officers, state and local epidemiologists, state and local laboratory directors, public information officers, HAN coordinators, and clinician organizations, that we were being told by Federal and state health officials that the spread of COVID nationally and in the state were “isolated” cases, and how pathetically stupid and incompetent that makes these so-called “experts” sound.

And now we are being told that, “ah, well, yeah, okay, so we blew it big time, and as a result, a lot, of people who wouldn’t otherwise have died are dying now, but we gave it our best shot,” which upon actually reading the written report which is on-line Centers entitled “Public Health Response to the Initiation and Spread of Pandemic COVID-19 in the United States, February 24–April 21, 2020” by Anne Schuchat, MD; CDC COVID-19 Response Team on May 1, 2020, comes across as a whitewash to me of gross negligence.

Getting back to that 2 March 2020 Rensselaer Counnty Press Release, which really serves to capture the incompetence and outright stupidity that has been driving this nation’s response to COVID, with people dying along the way as collateral damage, we have:

“We want residents to know that our team at the Health Department is monitoring this situation closely and working with state and federal officials to share information and get updates.”

“However, there is no need for undue concern or worry,” said County Executive Steve McLaughlin.

“We have been informed that New York State remains at a low risk for coronavirus.”

end quotes

And now New York state is the epicenter of the COVID crisis, and Rensselaer County is not only swimming in COVID cases, but now has older people dying alone in their homes, which is quite understandable from the perspective of an older person, because who in their right mind wants to spend their last days on earth as a science experiment in one of Andy Cuomo’s COVID hospitals, and older people in nursing homes are dying as well, as COVID continues to spread, because federal and state health officials simply blew off COVID as something to not have to worry about.

Getting back to that Associated Press article:

“We clearly didn’t recognize the full importations that were happening,” Schuchat told The Associated Press.

end quotes

And given what the CDC told Rensselaer County officials about not having to worry about COVID in New York, that is a true case of the excellent use of understatement to WHITEWASH a major-league ****-up here that has resulted in the needless deaths of countless Americans.

Getting back to the Associated Press article:

The CDC on Friday published an article, authored by Schuchat, that looked back on the U.S. response, recapping some of the major decisions and events of the last few months.

It suggests the nation’s top public health agency missed opportunities to slow the spread.

end quotes

Suggests?

No, people, it is an attempt to cover over those failures, which could well be considered gross negligence on their part, given the clearly erroneous information about COVID given to Rensselaer County officials before 2 March 2020, and after the CDC had issued an alert about COVID on 8 January 2020, which alert interestingly is not mentioned anywhere in the Schuchat Report which is the subject of the AP article above, which takes us back to the story, as follows:

Some public health experts saw it as important assessment by one of the nation’s most respected public health doctors.

The CDC is responsible for the recognition, tracking and prevention of just such a disease.

end quotes

And from the fact that on 8 January 2020, they put out a health alert about COVID to state and local health officers, state and local epidemiologists, state and local laboratory directors, public information officers, HAN coordinators, and clinician organizations, they were tracking COVID and warning about it.

So what went wrong after that, besides politics in the state of New York, where Andy Cuomo, the “Prince of Darkness” of New York who rules by fear, is reaping political benefit from the high COVID death toll which he is trying to blame on Trump?

The Schuchat Report doesn’t say, which takes us back to an interesting part of the Associated Press article, as follows:.

Asked about that during the interview, Schuchat said: “I think in retrospect, taking action earlier could have delayed further amplification (of the U.S. outbreak), or delayed the speed of it.”

But she also noted there was an evolving public understanding of just how bad things were, as well as a change in what kind of measures — including stay-at-home orders — people were willing to accept.

“I think that people’s willingness to accept the mitigation is unfortunately greater once they see the harm the virus can do,” she said.

end quotes

Yes, indeed, sit back on your heels and let the death toll soar, to get the justification you need to turn the United States into a third-world repressive police state, where people who ****** up big time have now become dictators with absolute authority over our lives and well-being.

Getting back to the AP story:

“There will be debates about should we have started much sooner, or did we go too far too fast.”

end quotes

Damn right there will be, and thankfully, we have the Cape Charles Mirror where that debate has begun, in earnest, as the hard questions not asked elsewhere are asked in here.

Getting back to the AP article:

Schuchat’s article still leaves a lot of questions unanswered, said Dr. Howard Markel, a public health historian at the University of Michigan.

It doesn’t reveal what kind of proposals were made, and perhaps ignored, during the critical period before U.S. cases began to take off in late February, he said.

“I want to know … the conversations, the memos the presidential edicts,” said Markel, who’s written history books on past pandemics.

“Because I still believe this did not need to be as bad as it turned out.”

end quotes

Amen, dude, amen!

My thoughts, exactly!

Paul Plante says :

There is so much conflicting BULL**** flowing here with respect to Andy Cuomo and COVID, it is not funny, and the source of the conflicting BULL**** in large part not surprisingly is Andy Cuomo, himself.

Consider this article above here from The Daily Gazette entitled “State to probe nursing homes for COVID-19 compliance – Cuomo said some not following state rules as they struggle with surge of residents deaths” by John Cropley on April 23, 2020, where Andy Cuomo states thusly:

Nursing home deaths have become an increasingly prominent part of Cuomo’s daily briefings on the COVID-19 crisis, with reporters peppering him on what the state is going to do.

His response has been that these are mostly private facilities that are paid to perform a task, and they must perform it within state and federal regulations.

end quotes

Which is a HORSE**** statement from out the mouth of Andy about nursing homes having to follow state regulations, because in March of this year, AFTER the Democrat-controlled NYS Assembly and Senate voted in a midnight, backroom deal to suspend the New York State Constitution and make Andy Cuomo a dictator in fact, our dictator Andy suspended those regulations and made the nursing home industry a wild-west shoot-em-up free-for-all, health and well-being of the inmates of those hellholes be damned, as we clearly can discern from the POLITICO article “Here’s every law and regulation Cuomo had suspended during coronavirus crisis” by Bill Mahoney on 03/19/2020, to wit:

ALBANY — When Gov. Andrew Cuomo declared a state of emergency in response to the coronavirus crisis on March 7, he gained extraordinary powers over the everyday lives of the state’s 19.5 million residents.

Thanks in part to a statutory change which the Legislature approved at the beginning of March, Cuomo’s declaration means he can change or suspend laws unilaterally, so long as doing so assists the state in its disaster response.

POLITICO has sorted through all of the laws and regulations that Cuomo has suspended and translated them into plain English.

HEALTH

— The requirements for assessing patients entering long-term care have been relaxed.

So have the requirements for screening patients entering nursing homes.

— A regulation requiring patients entering nursing homes to have gotten approval from a physician first is no longer effective.

end quotes

As to those virtually unlimited dictatorial powers over our lives the Democrat-controlled legislature in the corrupt third-world ****-hole of New York handed Andy Cuomo, they were the subject of a Gothamist article entitled “Albany’s Dead-Of-Night Coronavirus Vote Gives Cuomo Sweeping New Emergency Powers” by Ross Barkan on March 5, 2020, to wit:

In the wee hours of Tuesday morning, the state legislature approved $40 million in emergency funding to help contain the COVID-19 outbreak in New York.

Buried within the legislation is a provision that has alarmed progressive lawmakers and advocates: an extraordinary, broad, and little-understood expansion of Governor Andrew Cuomo’s emergency powers.

end quotes

Focus on the words “little-understood expansion of Governor Andrew Cuomo’s emergency powers.”

Andy Cuomo now has the same powers over the lives of the people in New York State as Joe Stalin in Russia had over the lives of the people of Ukraine during his Holodomor, as well as the same disdain, as we can clearly see from a series of essays I wrote on the subject back in 2016 collectively known as the Talk-1300 Report ( viewtopic.php?f=16&t=139 ) which takes us back to that article, as follows:

“I’m scared or concerned because I don’t know what the governor has in mind,” said Assembly member Richard Gottfried, the longtime chair of his chamber’s health committee.

end quotes

That was on March 5th, and now that it is May 3rd, and people are dying in droves in New York state because of Andy Cuomo shipping COVID patients all over the state like so many “smallpox blankets” so that he has managed to get COVID into every county in the state to get the body count higher, we can certainly see that that assembly member had every right to be concerned or scared, which takes us back to the Gothamist, as follows:

With the support of both legislative leaders, the emergency funding bill overwhelmingly passed the Democrat-controlled Assembly and State Senate.

Andrea Stewart-Cousins, the Senate Majority Leader, and Carl Heastie, the Speaker of the State Assembly, pushed for its passage, overriding the concerns of the health committee chairs in both chambers.

Cuomo did not offer a detailed explanation of his push to expand his emergency powers, telling reporters that “these are uncharted territories” and that “government has to respond.”

end quotes

That statement of Cuomo’s about “these are uncharted territories” and that “government has to respond” of course reminds me of what happened in Germany back on 8 February 1933 with the Order of the Reich President for the Protection of People and State, which Order stated thusly:

On the basis of Article 48 paragraph 2 of the Constitution of the German Reich, the following is ordered in defense against Communist state-endangering acts of violence:

§ 1. Articles 114, 115, 117, 118, 123, 124 and 153 of the Constitution of the German Reich are suspended until further notice.

It is therefore permissible to restrict the rights of personal freedom [habeas corpus], freedom of (opinion) expression, including the freedom of the press, the freedom to organize and assemble, the privacy of postal, telegraphic and telephonic communications.

Warrants for House searches, orders for confiscations as well as restrictions on property, are also permissible beyond the legal limits otherwise prescribed.

end quotes

That pretty much details what happened here in New York in wee hours of Tuesday morning, March 3, 2020, when constitutional, and by the way, “republican government” pursuant to Section 4 of Article IV of the United States Constitution, “The United States shall guarantee to every state in this union a republican form of government,” in New York state disappeared without a whimper thanks to the Democrat-controlled legislature, and with respect to the “Republican form” of government guaranteed by the U.S. Constitution, a “republic” is a form of government in which the country is considered a “public matter”, not the private concern or property of the rulers, which is what the Democrats have turned New York state into, and in the context of American constitutional law, the definition of republic refers specifically to a form of government in which elected individuals represent the citizen body and exercise power according to the rule of law under a constitution.

When the Constitution is gone, as is the case now in New York state, it is no longer a “republican form of government,” which violates the United States Constitution, but with the federal government shut down, as well, there is no way to challenge that, and we cannot think that the Democrats in the federal government will do anything to thwart Andy Cuomo’s assumption of dictatorial powers in New York that put him not only in charge of the state’s military forces, but grants him exclusive power over the purse, as well, along with the right to suspend laws that he does not like, which is a grant of legislative and judicial authority to the executive, as was the case in Germany in 1933, which takes us back to the Gothamist, as follows:

The whole process was rushed, in typical Albany fashion.

Word came Monday afternoon that legislation would be coming to the floor from the governor’s office, Gottfried said.

The state’s health commissioner, Howard Zucker, had met with Assembly Democrats for a briefing, making no mention of the need of additional emergency powers.

The Assembly and Senate hardly debated the bill.

It passed both houses after midnight, with little time to read it or seek outside counsel.

end quotes

There is what happens to our liberties when the Democrats have total control of our government as they intend to have come November of this year, when they hope to use this COVID hysteria being created by Andy Cuomo to take control of the presidency and the Senate, along with the House, which they already have absolute control over – Rule of Law and constitutional government disappear, which is what we are now living in this country, which has become the equivalent of Iraq under Saddam Hussein.

Getting back to the Gorhamist:

Though New York law already allows Cuomo to suspend provisions of any state or local statute that would delay in coping with a declared disaster, the new measure goes further, broadening the definition of disaster from a “past occurrence” to something that is “impending.”

The new law specifically added “disease outbreak” to a list of triggering events alongside “epidemic,” and gives Cuomo new power to issue directives “necessary to cope with” a broad list of potential disasters, from tornados to cyberattacks to volcanic eruptions.

end quotes

Volcanic eruptions?

Yeah, okay, Andy.

Getting back to the Gothamist:

The definition of disasters is general enough that critics fear Cuomo, a governor who already enjoys aggressively wielding executive power, can abuse the new law in a wide array of circumstances to override existing law.

end quotes

And as we can see with Andy’s decree to the nursing homes to take in COVID patients so as to insure the spread and raise the body count for partisan political purposes, that is exactly what has happened, which takes us to an NBC News article on the subject entitled “Coronavirus spreads in a New York nursing home forced to take recovering patients – “It’s reckless and careless,” said the granddaughter of a 96-year-old man whose family withdrew him from a Long Island nursing home” by Suzy Khimm on April 25, 2020, to wit:

But in New York, the controversy over the mandate has escalated as the virus has battered hospitals and nursing homes alike: The state not only has more coronavirus cases than anywhere in the country, but also the highest number of known long-term care deaths — at least 3,500 — related to the virus, according to the state health department.

A broad swath of nursing homes across the state have already accepted COVID-positive hospital patients in compliance with the mandate, and Gov. Andrew Cuomo has openly criticized facilities for opposing it.

“They don’t have a right to object.”

“That is the rule and that is the regulation, and they have to comply with that,” Cuomo, a Democrat, said in a Thursday news conference.

end quotes

Sounds like something Joe Stalin would say in response to the Ukrainians complaining about being starved to death, or Hitler would say to those complaining about being incarcerated in his concentration camps, which takes us back to the Gothamist, as follows:

“It’s a reckless expansion of executive power,” said State Senator Julia Salazar, a Brooklyn Democrat who voted against the bill.

Part of the challenge of understanding the expansion is the lack of specificity in the bill language.

Since the governor already has expansive emergency powers, adding more could theoretically justify all kinds of maneuvers, like the declaration of martial law, unilateral travel restrictions, and mass quarantines.

The limits are largely unknown.

end quotes

When there is no Constitution, there are no longer any limits, period, as we are seeing with these nursing home deaths and Andy Cuomo’s well-established depraved in difference to human life and suffering, which again takes us back to the Gothamist, to wit:

Assembly member Yuh-Line Niou, a Manhattan Democrat, said Cuomo’s expansion of emergency powers deeply concerned her as an Asian-American legislator.

“I have an innate fear of what would happen if we allow our government to be able to weaponize fear and to be able to make a directive and have the power to order private citizens to do something without any checks and balances.”

As far as Gottfried understands, Cuomo’s new emergency powers would allow the governor to override the due process the people who are quarantined are entitled to under existing law, like a person being required to see a judge after being arrested for violating an order.

“Those are valuable safeguards,” Gottfried said.

“As best as I can tell, the new law does away with them if the governor chooses to.”

end quotes

Again, he and Assembly member Yuh-Line Niou, with her well-placed innate fear of what would happen if we allow Andy Cuomo to be able to weaponize fear and to be able to make a directive and have the power to order private citizens to do something without any checks and balances, were speaking on 5 March, and now that it is 3 May, we can see that those fears were indeed well-placed, although now that Andy is wasting the lives of the elderly in this state, and I happen to be one of them, it truly is a bit late for that now, which has older folks like me making sure to tell our families that if something were to happen to us, please God, don’t let us fall into the hands of Andy Cuomo and his “health commissioner” Howie Zucker so that we end up spending our last days in one of their HELL HOLES, which is what nursing homes and hospitals in New York state have now become as a result of all of Andy’s Edicts – do us a favor and let us die at home, in peace, instead!

Paul Plante says:

All I can say as the days go by is that the surreality factor related to this COVID CIRCUS CLUSTER**** goes higher and higher and higher, and here I am referring to an Albany, New York Times Union article just out entitled “Cuomo on nursing homes’ response: ‘We can’t save every life’ – Western New York to reopen; Cuomo urges sports teams to start up without stadium fans” by Brendan J. Lyons on May 18, 2020, where we were treated to this following spew of absolute horse**** from New York’s Democratic Socialist governor Andy Cuomo, as follows, to wit:

ALBANY — Facing intensifying criticism of his administration’s handling of nursing homes in response to the coronavirus pandemic, Gov. Andrew M. Cuomo on Monday said New York had a high number of fatalities in those facilities “not because we did anything wrong” but due — at least in part — to bad luck.

“From day one we said that this was going to be hard, and we said that we drew bad cards in this hand,” Cuomo said, noting that New York has had the nation’s highest number of COVID-19 infections and deaths, including more than 5,700 fatalities in nursing homes.

end quotes

The thin-skinned Andy Cuomo is never going to admit that he has done something wrong by ordering nursing homes in New York to take in elderly patients suffering from COVID, so he puts it off on “bad luck,” instead, which is a lame cop-out.

The only bad luck involved is those poor people in those nursing homes being in a nursing home in New York state.

And it is total bull**** from Cuomo that he ever said “(F)rom day one we said that this was going to be hard, and we said that we drew bad cards in this hand,” as we can clearly see from a Press Release from Cuomo on March 1, 2020, wherein was stated as follows:

Albany, NY

“Governor Cuomo Issues Statement Regarding Novel Coronavirus in New York”

“This evening we learned of the first positive case of novel coronavirus — or COVID-19 — in New York State.”

“The patient, a woman in her late thirties, contracted the virus while traveling abroad in Iran, and is currently isolated in her home.”

“The patient has respiratory symptoms, but is not in serious condition and has been in a controlled situation since arriving to New York.”

“There is no cause for surprise — this was expected.”

“As I said from the beginning, it was a matter of when, not if there would be a positive case of novel coronavirus in New York.”

“There is no reason for undue anxiety — the general risk remains low in New York.”

“We are diligently managing this situation and will continue to provide information as it becomes available.”

end quotes

“No reason for undue anxiety” on 1 March 2020 is quite a bit different than “(F)rom day one we said that this was going to be hard, and we said that we drew bad cards in this hand.”

This is the same Andy Cuomo who was featured in an auburnpub.com article entitled “Cuomo: ‘Nobody’s to blame’ for NY nursing home COVID-19 deaths” by Robert Harding on April 24, 2020, where we have this spew of bull**** from the governor, to wit:

As Gov. Andrew Cuomo announced new directives for nursing homes to ensure they are complying with federal and state COVID-19 guidelines, he said Thursday that “nobody’s to blame” for the more than 3,500 residents who have died after contracting the virus.

end quotes

Nope, just bad luck and bad cards, alright, because Andy Cuomo is never wrong, even when he is very wrong, which takes us back to that article, as follows:

Nursing homes are also required to readmit residents with COVID-19, which has been a source of contention between the state and nursing homes.

Stephen Hanse, president and CEO of the New York State Health Facilities Association, told The Citizen last week that there have been concerns since the March 25 advisory from the state Department of Health.

The advisory stated that nursing homes couldn’t deny admission or readmission to residents who had confirmed or suspected cases of COVID-19.

Nursing homes also couldn’t test for COVID-19 before admitting or readmitting a resident who was recently hospitalized.

“This treacherous virus spreads through nursing homes like fire through dry grass and the state’s March 25 policy served to unnecessarily fan the flames of this fire,” Hanse said.

The COVID-19 death toll in nursing homes and adult care facilities is up to 3,540 — nearly one-quarter of the statewide coronavirus-related fatalities.

There have been COVID-19 deaths reported by nursing homes in 29 counties.

end quotes

Of course, that order by Cuomo has nothing to do with all those nursing home deaths, because really, people, nobody is responsible for them, starting with Andy Cuomo himself, which takes us back to that article, to wit:

He was later asked what went wrong in nursing homes that led to large numbers of fatalities.

He said that “nobody’s to blame” and that the virus is one that “attacks old people.”

end quotes

And that takes us to a Business Insider article entitled “An NYC nursing home forced to take coronavirus patients was also sent a supply of body bags for when they died” by Ashley Collman on April 24, 2020, to wit:

An executive at an unnamed Queens, New York nursing home told the New York Post on Thursday how officials sent them body bags when they were forced to admit coronavirus patients last month.

An executive at the unnamed Queens nursing home says that the facility was coronavirus-free until Gov. Andrew Cuomo forced facilities in the state to accept coronavirus patients on March 25.

This nursing home went on to see 30 people die of the coronavirus in the following weeks.

And every week they get five more body bags.

“Cuomo has blood on his hands.”

“He really does.”

“There’s no way to sugarcoat this,” the executive added.

“Why in the world would you be sending coronavirus patients to a nursing home, where the most vulnerable population to this disease resides?”

Rich Azzopardi, a spokesman for the governor, called the comment “disgusting” in a response to the Post, saying these facilities were “trying to deflect from their failures.”

end quotes

Rich Azzopardi, of course, for those who don’t know him, or of him, is the very same Rich Azzopardi who was the star of a 28 March 2019 New York Times story entitled “In Profane Rant, Cuomo Aide Calls 3 Female Lawmakers ‘Idiots’,” and a Splinter News article entitled “Cuomo Aides Not Big Fans of Young Female Legislators” by Samantha Grasso on 3/28/19, wherein was stated as follows, to wit:

If you thought New York Gov. Andrew was a piece of work, just look at his staff.

A senior adviser to the governor called three young female state lawmakers “f**king idiots” on Wednesday, the New York Times reported.

The insult was in response to a press conference the women held criticizing Cuomo for reportedly hosting a $25,000-ticket fundraiser earlier this month during the state’s budget season, which wasn’t mentioned on Cuomo’s public schedule.

end quotes

So, yes, my goodness, isn’t it truly disgusting that these nursing home operators would dare to accuse Andy Cuomo of having blood on his hands, when it is both obvious and apparent that what they really are doing is “trying to deflect from their failures.”

What horse**** is all I can say in response to that emanation from that thuggish fool who is Andy Cuomo’s chief spokesperson.

And in the meantime, the show that never ends goes on and on and on and on and on!

Welcome back, my friends to the show that never ends!

We’re so glad you could attend!

Come inside!

Come inside!

Move along!

Move along!

Come inside, the show’s about to start!

Guaranteed to blow your head apart!

Rest assured you’ll get your money’s worth!

You’ve got to see the show, it’s a dynamo.

You’ve got to see the show, it’s rock and roll!

Paul Plante says :

No, MJM, Andy Cuomo, the ignorant and psychopathic Democratic Socialist governor of New York did not go Cornell to learn to put all the COVID patients in nursing homes and kill all our parents and grandparents.

He went to law school somewhere else to learn to put all the COVID patients in nursing homes like so many “smallpox blankets” to kill all our parents and grandparents, and that for partisan political purposes related to hiding the fact that in January of this year, Andy had the state $6 BILLION in the hole due to “Medicaid overspending,” which is another way of saying Medicaid fraud, and looting the federal treasury and making Trump look bad going into the November presidential election.

Now I know you are fact-oriented, MJM, and don’t like emotional appeals, so with respect to the timeline or chronology here, which is important with respect to understanding what is very much a SCAM being perpetrated on us by Andy Cuomo and the Democrats, first consider this article from QNS.com entitled “Coronavirus concerning, but not as big a threat as other illnesses, Cuomo says” by Mark Hallum on March 2, 2020, to wit:

Governor Andrew Cuomo and Mayor Bill de Blasio made a rare partnership in a Monday press conference briefing the public on coronavirus as the first confirmed case in Manhattan was reported Sunday night.

Cuomo emphasized that while coronavirus is concerning, it’s not as grave a threat as other illnesses such as ebola or influenza.

“Avian flu, ebola, SARS, MERS, measles, right?”

“So we have gone through this before,” Cuomo continued.

“When you look at the reality here, about 80% of people who are infected with the coronavirus self-resolve… 20% get ill.”

“The mortality rate estimated to be about 1.4% – what does that mean?”

“The normal flu mortality rate is about 0.6%.”

end quotes

So, fifty-four (54) days AFTER the first CDC alert on COVID, Democratic Socialist governor Andy Cuomo was telling the people of New York state COVID was small potatoes, nothing to worry about.

Fix that date in your head, MJM, because on March 14, 2020, just twelve (12) days later, the same Bill DeBlasio held another press conference, this time with Democratic Socialist U.S. senator from New York City Charley “Chuck” Schumer, and this is what Charley “Chuck” had to say on that occasion, to wit:

Senator Charles Schumer: Well, thank you, Mayor.

And thank you for the good and long work that you are doing as well as the hundreds of thousands of city workers who work for you in health care and first responding in all the other places where we need the help.

end quotes

Twelve days earlier on 2 March 2020, this same DeBlasio was saying COVID was nothing to worry about, while he encouraged people to go out and mingle.

Twelve days later, Charley “Chuck” Schumer is making him out to be a hero, which is sheer political horse****.

Getting back to Charley “Chuck”:

So, what we passed last night or what the House passed last night is a lifeline.

I’ll get into the details in a minute.

But we have a crisis in this country as seen by the unfortunate death last night.

And I am really glad that Congress took action and our action was aimed at families, working people who were affected and need the help most desperately.

And we passed the kinds of things that matter to them – free testing for the coronavirus.

You do not want — these are the six things – we do not want people who are – who might have it, but say the doctor will charge me a couple of hundred dollars.

I’m not going to go and then walk around with it.

We strengthened food assistance to both the elderly and the kids who were not in school for whatever reason.

And that’s their best meal and they can’t get it.

They are safeguarding the medical benefits.

That’s FMAP.

I’ll get to that in a minute.

That’s the real biggest benefit for New York directly.

We enhance unemployment aid.

If you’re unemployed, all those poor people, you read about Broadway and Barclay’s center, what are the people who collect the tickets or who clean the place up or who sell the food going to do?

They don’t have jobs, paid family leave, sick leave won’t help them, but we’ve greatly expanded and made more flexible unemployment benefits so they can get them.

And then there is paid leave, both family and sick leave.

You get 14 days of sick leave, you get full pay and then you get another three months of family leave for yourself or if your kid’s home, if your spouse is sick or whatever else.

So those are good things.

Very good things.

end quotes

RULE ONE of Democrat party politics is to create a panic or a crisis, and then exploit that crisis for all it is worth while you have people scared and unable to think, which takes us back to Charley “Chuck” and the bull**** political nature of this Democrat-created COVID CRISIS, to wit:

Now, despite President Trump’s downplaying the issue, pointing fingers of blame at all people like the press, calling it a hoax, tell the family of the woman who died that it’s a hoax.

end quotes

What cheek, Charley “Chuck, because who was downplaying the issue in New York state and New York City was not Trump – it was Andy Cuomo and Bill DeBlasio.

Getting back to Charley “Chuck” and his spew of political bull****, we have:

And basically, just not stating the facts correctly.

He was forced to go along with what Congress wanted.

First the original bill, which dealt with the vaccines and getting our own health care agencies up and going [inaudible] remember, called for $2 billion.

I called for $8.5 billion.

The package we passed was $8.3 billion.

end quotes

Ah, yes, the money grab, which is really what this COVID CRISIS is all about.

Getting back to Charley “Chuck”:

Last Thursday, sorry, last Tuesday, I said he should declare an emergency so he can use FEMA and the dollars that FEMA has.

He just said that yesterday.

And maybe most importantly, these six things are what Nancy and I called for, Speaker Pelosi and I called for Saturday, last Sunday.

And these are the six things in the bill.

No giveaways to oil companies or other things they were thinking of in the White House.

So now, it was disgraceful that Leader McConnell left town last night.

The Congress, the House was debating and voting.

We could have had this done already, but he left.

But now I am calling on Leader McConnell to move this package immediately when we return on Monday, as is.

No new amendments to help some special interest.

Nothing.

Everyone’s going to have a lot of good ideas.

There’s going to be a third package and a fourth package and a fifth package.

But if we add things to this, has to go back to the House, back and forth.

The people of New York and the people of America can’t wait.

So, Leader McConnell, let’s get moving.

Pass this package as is, ASAP.

And I hope they’ll do that.

end quotes

I don’t know about you, MJM, but this political posturing by this windbag Charley “Chuck” Schumer makes me puke!

Twelve days after Andy Cuomo and Bill DeBlasio said COVID was no problem, all of a sudden it is a huge problem, and there are the Democrats with their snouts in the trough right up to their ears, looting the U.S. treasury to the tune of TRILLIONS of dollars, which again takes us back to Charley “Chuck” Schumer, to wit:

Now, for New York.

There are lots of benefits for New York, but none is bigger than what’s called FMAP.

And I have over the years I’ve been in the Senate used FMAP to channel money at times of need into state and local governments.

And New York does better than just about anybody else because we have the large — FMAP is Medicaid and we have the largest Medicaid population in the country.

end quotes

And New York has a documented history of Medicaid fraud going back to the 1970s: https://www.google.com/search?ei=EKPLXs ... 0430880261 !

Getting back to Charley “Chuck”:

And traditionally the federal government pays 50 percent of Medicaid and the State government and the localities together pay 50 percent.

In almost all states, it’s only the state government.

In New York and North Carolina, the locals have to pay.

We have raised that amount to 56.2 percent.

That’s what the federal government will pay so the State and local share goes down concomitantly two 43.8 percent.

That will mean $6.2 billion for New York on an annual basis.

It’s done quarterly.

If you went to the quarter and still have the virus, you get it for the whole quarter so you can prorate it by one quarter.

If you know, luckily enough, there is no coronavirus by the fourth quarter of next year, it’ll be three quarters of the amount I give.

And we divide the money between the State and the localities.

New York City will get over $1 billion and that will be — it will enable them, since it will help pay their Medicaid to use other dollars that might’ve had to go to Medicaid, to go to all the needs that you were talking about.

Mayor: [Inaudible]?

Senator Schumer: Well, I am a Brooklynite.

We say next, when other people say this.

2020, fourth quarter of 2020.

I always confuse that with my staff – this year, next year, this week, next week.

I forgot who’s right, which one is right and which one is wrong.

Okay, so it’s fourth quarter of this year, 2020.

The City gets a billion.

The other counties and localities in the state get $400 million, the State gets $5.2 billion.

There’s a lot of money there.

end quotes

There’s a lot of money there on 14 March 2020 when twelve days earlier, on 2 March 2020, COVID was nothing to worry about, and more to the point, there’s a lot of money there for a state with a long documented history of Medicaid fraud that was $6 BILLION in the hole just two months earlier in January 2020.

But thanks to COVID, that all got hushed up as if that Medicaid fraud had never existed.

And back again to Charley “Chuck” Schumer we go:

And it will be used to help our states and localities that are on the front line with all of their other expenses.

It’ll probably help the State review, solve some of their Medicaid problems that we’ve talked about previously as well.

We used FMAP in 2003 when the fiscal, when there was a downturn and most notably, we used it very significantly and very successfully in 2008.

And each time I wrote a provision into the law that localities could not be, they had to get a good share, a decent share of the money.

And that’s back in the law.

And this time there’s over $1 billion of employment benefits that go to the State.

As I said, we loosened up unemployment, how quickly you can apply and under what conditions.

And then there’s money in many other things.

There’s about $15 million from meals to seniors.

There was money for all kinds of other things.

And then there are all the things that we mentioned that go to New Yorkers, not to the city or state governments, that I mentioned before in terms of sick leave and in terms of paid leave, in terms of free testing, things like that.

So this is really a lifesaver for New York during a difficult time, and that’s what the federal government should do.

So, I hope the — I believe and hope the Senate will pass this quickly and then we will have to move on because there are other issues that we’re going to have to deal with as well.

This will not be the last coronavirus relief bill at all.

end quotes

Several TRILLION dollars later, we can see that Charley “Chuck” was indeed speaking truth there.

And for that to happen, that financial windfall to a corrupt state, all that was needed was for Andy Cuomo to not only let COVID spread to create a crisis, but to enhance that spread and the crisis he created by shipping COVID patients from New York City like so many “smallpox blankets” all over upstate New York, which is largely rural, so that thanks to Andy Cuomo, COVID is in every county of New York, and is in the nursing homes, as well.

Paul Plante says :

Are we headed for a civil war?

If we go by the words of Democrat Joe Biden in an article in The Daily Wire entitled “Joe Biden Calls Trump Supporters ‘Virulent People,’ The ‘Dregs Of Society'” by Joseph Curl @josephcurl on September 17, 2018, and take those words to be true, the answer has to be yes, of course we are, how could anyone think differently, as we can see from that article and Joe’s own words, to wit:

Joe Biden just had his “deplorables” moment.

Biden, who says he’ll decided in January whether to run for president in 2020 but who is making all the moves of a presidential candidate, used a pro-LGBT Human Rights Campaign annual dinner on Saturday to rip President Trump.

And in so doing, Biden had a moment reminiscent of Hillary Clinton, when she called Trump supporters “deplorables.”

end quotes

There, the article is talking about the efforts of Hillary Clinton and the Democrats to divide us back in 2016, which efforts can be viewed as the opening shots in the coming civil war, which takes us back to goofy old Joe Biden two years later in 2018, to wit:

Biden did his old act, starting off soft and avuncular before booming through his power points, punching the air and flailing about.

end quotes

As an aside, I think I speak for a lot of people here in America who are waiting for Joe to start that punching the air and flailing about, as it is quite entertaining when Joe does so, as if in imitation of Joe Cocker at Woodstock belting out “Try with some help from my friends” while twitching about at the mic.

But wait, we’re talking Joe’s message of divisiveness, so back to the article we go:

“Despite losing in the courts, and in the court of opinion, these forces of intolerance remain determined to undermine and roll back the progress you all have made,” he said.

“This time they — not you — have an ally in the White House.”

“This time they have an ally.”

“They’re a small percentage of the American people — virulent people, some of them the dregs of society.”

end quotes

DREGS OF SOCIETY!

And my goodness, what a powerful soundbite and campaign slogan that is for Joe Biden – “IF YOU’RE NOT FOR JOE, YOU’RE A DREG OF SOCIETY,” which should have people flocking to Joe’s standard, I would think, anyway, because really, who wants to be one of the DREGS OF SOCIETY, although that might make for some catchy lyrics for a country-western song, as well as a name for a punk band.

Getting back to that article, and Joe dividing America to get a civil war going, we have:

“And instead of using the full might of the executive branch to secure justice, dignity, safety for all, the president uses the White House as the literal — literal — bully pulpit, callously — callously — exerting his power over those who have little or none.”

Biden got himself lathered up into a full froth as he waxed poetic about his and “Barack’s” thoughts on Trump.

“Barack and I agreed to remain silent for a while to give this administration the chance to get up and running in the first year,” Biden said.

“God forgive me,” he added, making the sign of the cross as the audience applauded.

“Those who try to excuse this kind of prejudice in the name of culture, I say, ‘Prejudice is prejudice and humanity is humanity — it is a crime,'” Biden said, urging those in the room to continue to oppose Trump.

“Our work is not yet done by any stretch of the imagination.”

“The stakes are much too high.”

And then he went even further.

“This is deadly earnest, we are in a fight for America’s soul,” Biden said.

end quotes

And those are the words Joe and the Democrats are using to precipitate a civil war in this country, and as we can see from the article, Biden’s wife, Jill, also got in on the act before introducing her husband, to wit:

“There is nothing that makes either of us more angry than a bully.”

“There’s nothing that’s more unfair or unjust than people using their power to try to make other people feel small, to tell them who they are or what they are capable of, to say their identity doesn’t belong,” she said.

“There is nothing that makes us want to pick a fight more than that,” she said.

end quotes

BANG – opening shots have been fired!

Game is on, which takes us back to that article one more time for a message from Hillary, to wit:

Clinton used similar language when she called “half” of Trump’s supporters “deplorables” during the 2016 campaign.

“To just be grossly generalistic, you can put half of Trump supporters into what I call the basket of deplorables,” Clinton said in September 2016.

“Right?”

“Racist, sexist, homophobic, xenophobic, Islamaphobic, you name it.”

Now, Biden has done much the same.

And just as Biden began his speech, a few people in the crowd yelled “Run Joe!”

He replied: “Thank you.”

See you in 2020, Joe.

And here we are!
