According to Fox News, President Joe Biden’s frustrations seem to stem from the coverage he receives in contrast to former President Donald Trump.
As originally reported in Semafor, “campaign officials have chafed at some of the coverage of former President Donald Trump, feeling that outlets are too focused on his legal troubles and haven’t paid enough attention to some of his incendiary recent statements on the campaign trail.”
As reported in Fox News, the White House also expressed frustration this past December regarding coverage of the economy and was further frustrated by the reporting of Biden’s negative over his more positive poll results.
As ridiculous as the scenario of career politicians and campaign staffers dictating to the press on how they should cover the president’s campaign is, it is indicative of something more sinister at work in the intersection of the media and the government.
The whole point of the press is that it’s supposed to be independent from the government.
It’s the free press after all; the press should not just be a propaganda tool for a political party, and it absolutely should not be receiving private coaching sessions from the sitting president’s campaign staff as to how report on the president correctly.
There are two major issues on display here.
Number one, the fact that the Biden campaign had no issue with stepping over the line that is supposed to separate the press and the government speaks volumes as to how the Biden administration views the power it has been granted by the American people.
Number two, that so many major news organizations so readily agreed to meet with the Biden campaign off the record (or at least seemed to) is nothing short of shocking.
The press should never have even entertained the idea, let alone conducted what seem to have been multiple meetings on the subject.
Instead of trying to improve the Biden campaign, at least by perhaps walking back some of Biden’s more controversial moves, the campaign staff instead secretly meet with the press with the intent of, essentially, instructing the media on how to report on Biden’s campaign.
The Biden campaign’s move to dictate to the press how it should report on Trump and Biden should be deeply concerning to every American.

Once this news leaked on X, users there did not hold back, mocking the administration for implementing such a ridiculous strategy.
According to Fox News, President Joe Biden’s frustrations seem to stem from the coverage he receives in contrast to former President Donald Trump.
As originally reported in Semafor, “campaign officials have chafed at some of the coverage of former President Donald Trump, feeling that outlets are too focused on his legal troubles and haven’t paid enough attention to some of his incendiary recent statements on the campaign trail.”
As reported in Fox News, the White House also expressed frustration this past December regarding coverage of the economy and was further frustrated by the reporting of Biden’s negative over his more positive poll results.
As ridiculous as the scenario of career politicians and campaign staffers dictating to the press on how they should cover the president’s campaign is, it is indicative of something more sinister at work in the intersection of the media and the government.
The whole point of the press is that it’s supposed to be independent from the government.
It’s the free press after all; the press should not just be a propaganda tool for a political party, and it absolutely should not be receiving private coaching sessions from the sitting president’s campaign staff as to how report on the president correctly.
There are two major issues on display here.
Number one, the fact that the Biden campaign had no issue with stepping over the line that is supposed to separate the press and the government speaks volumes as to how the Biden administration views the power it has been granted by the American people.
Number two, that so many major news organizations so readily agreed to meet with the Biden campaign off the record (or at least seemed to) is nothing short of shocking.
The press should never have even entertained the idea, let alone conducted what seem to have been multiple meetings on the subject.
Instead of trying to improve the Biden campaign, at least by perhaps walking back some of Biden’s more controversial moves, the campaign staff instead secretly meet with the press with the intent of, essentially, instructing the media on how to report on Biden’s campaign.
The Biden campaign’s move to dictate to the press how it should report on Trump and Biden should be deeply concerning to every American.

According to history as I learned it, and as the National Park Service itself tells it, in 1865, a French political intellectual and anti-slavery activist named Edouard de Laboulaye proposed that a statue representing liberty be built for the United States.
This monument would honor the United States’ centennial of independence and the friendship with France.
French sculptor Auguste Bartholdi supported de Laboulaye’s idea and in 1870 began designing the statue of “Liberty Enlightening the World.”
The Statue of Liberty never was intended to tell anyone in the world what to do or where to go, and it certainly didn’t tell people to come here, as this moron progressive “cancel culture” DEMOCRAT who wants to tear down the Statue of Liberty believes in his obviously warped and twisted mind.
According to Wikipedia, the poem this DEMOCRAT is mistaking for the reason the Statue of Liberty was built, titled “The New Colossus,” is a sonnet by American poet Emma Lazarus (1849–1887) who wrote the poem in 1883 to raise money for the construction of a pedestal for the Statue of Liberty (Liberty Enlightening the World).
In 1903, the poem was cast onto a bronze plaque and mounted inside the pedestal’s lower level.

French sculptor Auguste Bartholdi supported de Laboulaye’s idea and in 1870 began designing the statue of “Liberty Enlightening the World.”
The Statue of Liberty never was intended to tell anyone in the world what to do or where to go, and it certainly didn’t tell people to come here, as this moron progressive “cancel culture” DEMOCRAT who wants to tear down the Statue of Liberty believes in his obviously warped and twisted mind.
According to Wikipedia, the poem this DEMOCRAT is mistaking for the reason the Statue of Liberty was built, titled “The New Colossus,” is a sonnet by American poet Emma Lazarus (1849–1887) who wrote the poem in 1883 to raise money for the construction of a pedestal for the Statue of Liberty (Liberty Enlightening the World).
In 1903, the poem was cast onto a bronze plaque and mounted inside the pedestal’s lower level.
The poem was written as a donation to an auction of art and literary works conducted by the “Art Loan Fund Exhibition in Aid of the Bartholdi Pedestal Fund for the Statue of Liberty” to raise money for the pedestal’s construction.
Lazarus’s contribution was solicited by fundraiser William Maxwell Evarts.
Initially, she refused but writer Constance Cary Harrison convinced her that the statue would be of great significance to immigrants sailing into the harbor.
“The New Colossus” was the first entry read at the exhibit’s opening on November 2, 1883.
It remained associated with the exhibit through a published catalog until the exhibit closed after the pedestal was fully funded in August 1885, but was forgotten and played no role at the opening of the statue in 1886.
In 1901, Lazarus’s friend Georgina Schuyler began an effort to memorialize Lazarus and her poem, which succeeded in 1903 when a plaque bearing the text of the poem was put on the inner wall of the pedestal of the Statue of Liberty.
As to the text of the poem, it reads as folows:

On social media, he regularly posted reports and opinions regarding the state of the country’s war with Russia and the nature of Volodymyr Zelenskyy’s government in Kyiv, the nation’s capital.
As part of a 5-minute introduction to his interview with Lira’s father, Carlson showed clips of the detained journalist’s reports.
“In the West, all of the propaganda has said that, you know, Zelenskyy’s a hero, a Winston Churchill figure, and the Kyiv regime are just angels and stuff like that.”
“No, they’re bloodthirsty murderers, the Kyiv regime. I’m telling you right now,” Lira said in one of them.
Carlson noted that the journalist was arrested for posting such reports inside a “supposed democracy.”
After his release from prison, Lira tried to flee the country.
According to his last posted video, the journalist nearly reached the Hungarian border before being arrested again.
In that video, Lira predicted his fate.
“I will definitely be sent to a prison labor camp, where I will most certainly die,” he said of what would happen to him should Ukrainian security forces catch up to him near the border.
They did.
And according to his father, the journalist’s prediction came true.
While Lira lived, Carlson called him “a political prisoner in a country that we were told was free.”
Meanwhile, the U.S. government showed indifference to the journalist’s welfare.
“The Biden State Department is uninterested in the fate of this American citizen.”
“In fact, of course, they support his imprisonment,” Carlson said.
Predictably, the establishment media followed the Biden administration’s lead.
For instance, last month, Business Insider described Lira as a “Russian propagandist.”
The same article noted with disapproval that both Carlson and X owner Elon Musk had raised awareness of his plight.
“Carlson himself has generated controversy for promoting Kremlin propaganda and being highly critical of US support for Ukraine,” the outlet said.
Musk, meanwhile, “has increasingly championed right-wing causes and rhetoric.”
Thus did Business Insider assure its readers that they need not concern themselves with the journalist’s fate.
After all, if Carlson and Musk supported him, then he must have deserved imprisonment.
In May, when asked about Lira’s initial arrest, State Department spokesman Matthew Miller gave an evasive and disingenuous answer.

The Biden administration, of course, does not support free speech but in fact has tried to suppress it.
Even Lira’s death barely elicited a reaction from administration officials.

“You’ll notice the State Department doesn’t say Gonzalo Lira’s name.”
“This appears to be a generic statement,” Morello said in an X post on Saturday.
Nor did the State Department answer Morello’s inquiries.
“They also won’t address my questions which were: During Lira’s detainment, did the State Department ever reach out to the Ukrainian government on Gonzalo Lira’s behalf?”
“If so, how many times and when?”
“Is the State Department in touch with Gonzalo Lira‘s family?” she added.
Of course the State Department had nothing to say.
