The Hudson River is a lot less polluted thanks to the efforts of Pete Seeger and Riverkeepers and Clearwater.

Yes. Downstate polluters have been pretty much curtailed from dumping their effluent directly into the Hudson. GE used to he one of the top polluters. Now they make money instead of chemicals for their transformers and generators.
