COURT TO BIDEN: STOP DISCRIMINATING!

Post by thelivyjr »

THE CAPE CHARLES MIRROR MAY 23, 2021

Opinion: Court to Biden-Stop Discriminating, Joe!

Special Opinion to the Mirror by Paul Plante:

Now, first of all, is there anybody out there in America today over the age of say, twelve, who is surprised that Joe Biden, who says he wants to unite this nation, which is empty blather because Joe is a divider, would discriminate against some Americans who he calls “Dregs of Society” who belong in a “Basket of Deplorables,” in favor of other Americans who are precious to him as part of his agenda to divide America into those who drink the KOOL-AID of the CULT OF JOE, and thus, are precious to Joe, and everybody else, who because they are not members of the CULT OF JOE, are instead outsiders entitled to none of the bounty Joe offers to his followers and acolytes as their reward for giving Joe their love, which spurs his love and largesse in return to those who love him?

Truly, people, is anybody at all surprised by any of that?

Which takes us to a story in The Hill entitled “Federal judge says Biden restaurant fund discriminated against white male” by John Kruzel 20 May 2021, where we had as follows in that matter, to wit:

A federal judge in Texas issued a preliminary ruling Tuesday which found that the Biden administration’s nearly $29 billion restaurant relief fund discriminated against a white male restaurateur.

end quotes

And my goodness, people, of course it did.

White males, especially heteronormative white males, are the root cause of all the problems everybody else in America are experiencing, so it is time somebody like Joe Biden stepped up to the plate to cut them off at the knees to teach them a much-needed lesson in humility, and if Joe has to discriminate against them to teach them that lesson, well, by damn, it will be done, and so it was, which resulted in Joe’s administration getting sued in court and losing, which is quite an accomplishment for Joe in his first one hundred days in office.

Getting back to The Hill, the story continues as follows:

In an 18-page ruling, the judge ordered the Small Business Administration (SBA) relief program to temporarily stop prioritizing funding applications from businesses owned by women and racial minorities, over that of the plaintiff.

U.S. District Judge Reed O’Connor, an appointee of former President George W. Bush, found that the plaintiff is “experiencing race and sex discrimination at the hand of government officials.”

end quotes

And again, people, of course he is, by intent of Joe Biden.

That is not accidental discrimination, that is intentional discrimination, as Joe Biden sets himself up as the arbiter of who is going to win and who is going to be made the loser in the Biden Miracle Economy, which takes us back to that story, as follows:

“The evidence submitted by plaintiffs indicates that the entire $28.6 billion in the Restaurant Revitalization Fund may be depleted before plaintiffs’ application can be considered for relief under the program,” O’Connor wrote.

The dispute arose after Philip Greer, a white male restaurant owner, brought a lawsuit on Sunday against the SBA over alleged violations of the Constitution’s Equal Protection Clause.

Greer had sought to apply for the federal relief program after his restaurant, Greer’s Ranch Café, lost nearly $100,000 in revenue during the coronavirus pandemic.

But the program, which is part of the $1.9 trillion economic stimulus bill passed in March, aims to give priority to groups that Greer does not fall under – namely women, veterans and “socially and economically disadvantaged” people – for an initial period of May 3 to May 24.

The judge concluded that Greer was at risk of “irreparable harm” because the entire fund could run out by the time the prioritized groups’ claims were processed.

An attorney for the Justice Department did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

end quotes

Way to go, Joe!

Getting sued for discrimination in your first 100 days and then losing is quite an accomplishment!

THE CAPE CHARLES MIRROR MAY 31, 2021 AT 8:59 PM

Paul Plante says:

And here, let us go to an article in the Washington Post entitled “Biden offers defense of democracy in Memorial Day Remarks” by Annie Linskey on 31 May 2021, where we have as follows:

President Biden delivered a rousing defense of democracy and a plea for unity during remarks to commemorate Memorial Day on Monday at Arlington National Cemetery, saying “democracy is more than a form of government — it is a way of being.”

end quotes

It is interesting that after being gigged by a federal court judge who found that the Biden administration’s nearly $29 billion restaurant relief fund discriminated against a white male restaurateur that on Memorial Day, Joe Biden should be appealing for “unity” in this country when it is he and his party and his administration who are the ones doing their damndest to divide us, as we clearly saw in that discrimination lawsuit, which takes us back to that story, as follows:

“Democracy itself is in peril,” the president said.

end quotes

And how come, people?

Is democracy itself in peril precisely because the Biden administration discriminates against certain segments of the American population, like white heterosexual males while being the champion for other segments as we saw in the transcript from President Joe Biden’s address to a joint session of Congress on 28 April 2021, where we had Joe saying, “(T)o all the transgender Americans watching at home – especially the young people who are so brave – I want you to know that your president has your back?”

And isn’t democracy always in peril precisely because it is an unstable form of government because of “leaders” like Joe Biden who purposefully discriminate against certain segments of the population, which is why it was soundly rejected as a permanent form of government in this country?

Getting back to the story, it continues as follows:

Speaking for roughly 20 minutes, Biden said the American soldiers buried around him, and around the world, gave their lives to uphold the U.S. Constitution and the country’s form of government.

end quotes

And as one of this nation’s many disabled veterans who knows well many of those soldiers who gave their lives for this country, I would say that it was true that they did give their lives in fulfillment of their oath to support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic and to bear true faith and allegiance to the same, and to obey the orders of the President of the United States and the orders of the officers appointed over them, according to regulations and the Uniform Code of Military Justice, but what does that have to do with “democracy?”

And here for a moment let me go back in time to the Soldier’s Handbook I was issued when I joined the U.S. Army to go to Viet Nam, and the Code of Conduct for members of the United States armed forces which state in Article I as follows:

I am an American fighting man.

I serve in the forces which guard my country and our way of life.

I am prepared to give my life in their defense.

end quotes

And right in the beginning, before we get to the Code of Conduct itself, the handbook stated thusly:

Each individual in this nation has the duty to contribute as much as he can to the well-being of the nation and its people.

end quotes

As the so-called “commander in chief” of our military, wouldn’t one expect Joe Biden to be as familiar as I am with those words?

Getting back to the Washington Post, Joe rambles on as follows:

“Democracy must be defended at all costs,” Biden said.

“Democracy, that’s the soul of America.”

“And I believe it’s a soul worth fighting for.”

“And so do you.”

“A soul worth dying for.”

end quotes

Except it is not worth dying for, nor did Joe believe it was worth dying for back when he had a chance to go to Viet Nam as I did, in his case to die a glorious death for his beloved “democracy.”

Instead, after playing football through high school and college, all of a sudden, from out of the clear blue as those things are known to happen, Joe came down with what was considered one of the worst cases of asthma the medical profession had ever seen, so that Joe had to go sit out the war on the sidelines with such other war evaders as Hillary Clinton’s husband Bill, and Charley “Chuck” Schumer, whose gentic stock was deemed far too important to be spattered all over the mud of Viet Nam like that of the common folks who were cannon fodder over there for Democrat LBJ, whose war against democracy in Viet Nam that war was.

So much for democracy being worth dying for!

Getting back to the article, we have:

Biden also referred to the threats to the country’s form of government.

“The soul of America is animated by the perennial battle between our worst instincts, which we’ve seen of late, and our better angels.”

end quotes

Yes, we have seen that, with Hillary Clinton herself dumping a segment of the American population into her “BASKET OF DEPLORABLES,” while Joe himself was calling American citizens the “DREGS OF SOCIETY.”

So talk about their worst instincts, there they are on display for all to see!

Going back to the Washington Post, we have:

He urged patriotism, saying there’s a struggle, “between ‘me first’ and ‘We the people.’ ”

end quotes

And it is his pack of Democrats who are saying, “ME FIRST,” and as to urging patriotism, a strange word to be coming forth from Joe Biden of all people, who had his own chance to be a “patriot” like all those dead soldiers, sailors, airmen and Marines surrounding Joe at Arlington on Memorial Day, but took a dive, instead and came down with asthma so he could stay home and be safe while others less fortunate and privileged than him got to do the dying instead, that in light of an AP article entitled “Biden revokes Trump report promoting ‘patriotic education” where we were told Joe had revoked a recent Trump administration report that aimed to promote “patriotic education” in schools.

So much for Joe Biden urging patriotism, which takes us back to the Washington Post as follows:

During Monday’s speech, Biden again framed the central tension of the times as a battle between democracy and autocracy, calling it the “battle for our time.”

He’s used this argument to push for his $4 trillion in proposed spending, saying that Western democracies must show the world that they can make big investments and overcome gridlock.

“Folks, we all know it, democracy thrives when the infrastructure of democracy is strong,” Biden said.

That “infrastructure,” he said, includes ensuring “people have the right to vote freely, fairly and conveniently.”

He also listed a free press that “pursues the truth” and a legal system where the “rule of law applies equally and fairly to every citizen.”

end quotes

Which takes us right back up to the first post about Joe discriminating against a man simply because he was white.

It was the Court that told Joe that “rule of law applies equally and fairly to every citizen” because Joe quote obviously didn’t know that himself, or he would not have been sued for discrimination in the first place!

Going back to the Washington Post, it concludes for us as follows:

“As a nation, we must always remember — always remember,” Biden said Sunday.

“We must remember the price that was paid for our liberties.”

end quotes

We who served do remember, Joe!

Do you?

Because if you did, you wouldn’t be discriminating against white-skinned people simply because of their skin color and gender.

Paul Plante says:

And when I heard Joe Biden delivering a rousing defense of democracy on Memorial Day, saying “democracy is more than a form of government — it is a way of being,” and “Democracy must be defended at all costs,” and “Democracy, that’s the soul of America,” it brought to my mind as an American citizen who pledges allegiance to our Republic, not our democracy, which most certainly is not worth either bleeding for or dying for, the March 20, 1956 Speech by Comrade Nikita Khrushchev at the 6th PUWP CC Plenum, Warsaw, where we American schoolchildren alive at that time, which really should have included Joe Biden, heard Nikita Krushchev talking about democracy being the soul of the Soviet Union and something worth them dying for, as follows:

If Lenin would arise he would have been pleased to see his cause become so strong, that the capitalistic world admits being unable to win the war against the socialist countries.

Comrades, this is the power of Marxist-Leninist teaching.

We did not work for nothing; not for nothing used the strength of this form of government.

Therefore, we must continue working.

Must work.

Work.

We have to use the strength of other countries, not only the strength of the Soviet Union but the peoples’ democracies have to show themselves more actively.

We, the communists, will gain victory.

It’s going to be ours, the victory of Marxist-Leninism teaching, the victory of communism.

I think that real communists really understand and believe in this — there cannot be any other opinion.

It shocked the capitalist world and communists who are watching and studying more carefully the evolution of the Soviet Union and the peoples’ democracies.

We discussed and I want to tell you my opinion about the peoples’ democracies.

We think that we did not waste the time after the October Revolution.

And Russia, impoverished and peasant, turned out to be a powerful state, second only to the United States of America.

Add the peoples’ democracies, add, though it’s still weakly industrialized — China.

Our force is enormous.

It should be understood that our forces will grow, not only as a result of the development of heavy industry and means of armament, but our forces will be strong given existing armament, the same volume of heavy industry production; if we increase the living standard of our peoples.

Comrades, we must do it now because we have the opportunity.

Therefore, we cannot go as… who was taken… and who does not know anything, who only leads ahead.

I would say that the people’s democracies should pay even more attention to this problem.

Poland, Hungary, Czechoslovakia, East Germany, and others.

Rumania.

Now, comrades, I want to say that yesterday during the [PUWP] Politburo meeting, I expressed my views, and want to express them to members of the Central Committee at the Central Committee plenum.

We are concerned.

We, meaning the leaders of the Soviet Union.

After the death of Comrade Stalin, we met with all the leaders of the peoples’ democracies.

And at that time, we noticed that some of the advice we have given was not exactly well planned and properly thought through.

And therefore, we want to correct ourselves.

We must take care of the working class.

We must increase, from year to year, the living standard of the working class.

Only then will they look upon us as the avant-garde in the struggle for communism.

The workers understand our silly mistakes and forgive us.

They forgive, but that doesn’t mean that the mistake should be repeated; that the misuse of trust should happen again.

And therefore, we should do it.

Not because the working class might turn away from us, but so that we would be real Leninists, real who…

This should be done, comrades, this should be thought through.

Is it needed, in our situation, to insure the growth of heavy industry, light industry, and the defense industry?

Yes, it’s needed.

If we don’t do it, then we can’t do it.

Plan and consider wisely.

Also, comrades, I think that Poland and the other peoples’ democracies should use the situation which exists right now.

So to speak, the role of the leading military country, compared to Poland and others, is presently taken by the Soviet Union.

Now, we’re opening the gates, so to speak, and exchanging delegations; delegations of the socialists and union activists from capitalist countries.

What are they going to talk about?

They are, of course, going to look for such things as the kind of armaments we have.

But, especially at housing conditions, medical services, salaries — this is the main problem, and we can’t avoid it.

It should be distinguished from other problems, because our worker should not live in worse conditions then those workers in capitalist countries.

Otherwise, we wouldn’t be able to attract the worker to our side.

end quotes

Sounds very much to me with all this crazy talk from Joe Biden about democracy being something worth dying for that the Communists have Joe Biden firmly on their side.

Paul Plante says:

And to see how stupid Joe Biden sounds when he says “democracy is more than a form of government — it is a way of being,” and “Democracy must be defended at all costs,” and “Democracy, that’s the soul of America,” let’s go back in time a bit to Alexander Fraser Tytler, Lord Woodhouselee FRSE (15 October 1747 – 5 January 1813) who was a Scottish advocate, judge, writer and historian who served as Professor of Universal History, and Greek and Roman Antiquities at the University of Edinburgh, and his commentaries on democracy where we had as follows, this from Wikipedia, to wit:

In his Lectures, Tytler expressed a critical view of democracy in general and representative democracies such as republics in particular.

He believed that “a pure democracy is a chimera”, and that “All government is essentially of the nature of a monarchy”.

end quotes

Which is a very true statement in connection with Joe Biden, who is an autocrat, which takes us back to Tytler, as follows:

In discussing the Athenian democracy, after noting that a great number of the population were actually enslaved, he went on to say, “Nor were the superior classes in the actual enjoyment of a rational liberty and independence.”

“They were perpetually divided into factions, which servilely ranked themselves under the banners of the contending demagogues; and these maintained their influence over their partisans by the most shameful corruption and bribery, of which the means were supplied alone by the plunder of the public money”.

end quotes

And doesn’t that sound just like the United States of America today?

And what am I saying, of course it does, which takes us back to more wisdom about democracies from Tytler as follows:

Speaking about the measure of freedom enjoyed by the people in a republic or democracy, Tytler wrote, “The people flatter themselves that they have the sovereign power.”

“These are, in fact, words without meaning.”

“It is true they elected governors; but how are these elections brought about?”

“In every instance of election by the mass of a people — through the influence of those governors themselves, and by means the most opposite to a free and disinterested choice, by the basest corruption and bribery.”

“But those governors once selected, where is the boasted freedom of the people?”

“They must submit to their rule and control, with the same abandonment of their natural liberty, the freedom of their will, and the command of their actions, as if they were under the rule of a monarch”.

Tytler dismisses the more optimistic vision of democracy by commentators such as Montesquieu as “nothing better than an Utopian theory, a splendid chimera, descriptive of a state of society that never did, and never could exist; a republic not of men, but of angels”, for “While man is being instigated by the love of power — a passion visible in an infant, and common to us even with the inferior animals — he will seek personal superiority in preference to every matter of a general concern”.

“Or at best, he will employ himself in advancing the public good, as the means of individual distinction and elevation: he will promote the interest of the state from the selfish but most useful passion of making himself considerable in that establishment which he labors to aggrandize.”

“Such is the true picture of man as a political agent”.

Tytler believed that democratic forms of government such as those of Greece and Rome have a natural evolution from initial virtue toward eventual corruption and decline.

In Greece, for example, Tytler argues that “the patriotic spirit and love of ingenious freedom … became gradually corrupted as the nation advanced in power and splendour”.

end quotes

So much for “democracy is more than a form of government — it is a way of being,” and “Democracy must be defended at all costs,” and “Democracy, that’s the soul of America.”

Back to you, Joe!

Any rebuttals to offer us?

THE CAPE CHARLES MIRROR JUNE 4, 2021 AT 10:56 AM

Paul Plante says:

And as we continue to consider how stupid and out of touch with reality as an American citizen would know it Joe Biden sounds when he says “democracy is more than a form of government — it is a way of being,” and “Democracy must be defended at all costs,” and “Democracy, that’s the soul of America,” I find myself reminded of the “Essay by A Georgian” posted on November 15, 1787, where the people of America at that time were informed as follows:

Through the channel of your paper we have lately been favored with the new Federal Constitution, the plan of which I must confess I like, and it is my heart’s wish to see a federal constitution established agreeable to the principles of republican liberty and independence, and on the basis of a democratical government, meaning that of the people, being that very government intended by our glorious Declaration of Independence.

end quotes

Now, first of all focus on these words from that essay, to wit: “agreeable to the principles of republican liberty and independence,”

What is “republican liberty,” we must ask ourselves?

Does it have anything at all to do with the Republican party, or Donald Trump, or Addison McConnell or Elise Stefanik, who appears to be eating all the pork herself instead of bringing home the bacon to her district, in this sick and sorry nation at war with itself due to tribalism and factionalism?

Or is it something entirely different and unrelated to the Party of Trump?

And for some aid in determining the proper answer to that question, let us go to an article on the subject entitled “The Concept of Republican Liberty” by M. N. S. Sellers, where we have as follows on the subject:

The republicans’ dual commitment to political participation and personal security remained the essence of republican liberty, derived from Roman ideas of what it is to be a free citizen and not a slave.

Opponents of republican liberty denied this connection.

But republican writers since Cicero sought to explain why neither is possible without the other.

Cicero began the first great treatise on republican politics by defining libertas as life without a master.

Laws are needed to mediate disputes between citizens, but always on an equal basis, in pursuit of the common good.

Cicero argued that the res publica requires virtuous magistrates to administer these laws.

Popular suffrage assures that the best men will govern the state, provided that voters subject themselves to the proper authority of an august and reflective senate.

This mixture in the constitution prevents any one class in society from tyrannizing the others.

Cicero believed that laws are only valid when they serve reason and justice.

end quotes

And with that thought hanging before us to consider, given that we do not have a “virtuous magistrate” to administer the laws in the person of Joe Biden, let me pause here for us to reflect on that and what it means to us as a nation and as a people.

Paul Plante says:

And as we continue to consider how stupid and out of touch with reality we would have to be as American citizens to buy into this BULL**** Joe Biden is peddling as prime beef when he says “democracy is more than a form of government — it is a way of being,” which for him and his CULT of followers, it actually is, like a religion, and “Democracy must be defended at all costs,” and “Democracy, that’s the soul of America,” which sounds like Joe is channeling James Brown there, to see Joe’s “democracy, that’s the soul of America” in action, keeping in mind that “democracy” is synonymous with “discrimination,” let us go to a Reuters article entitled “Liberal Democrats restless over Biden’s infrastructure talks with Republicans” by Richard Cowan and Makini Brice on June 4, 2021, where we are in formed as follows:

Progressive Democrats in the U.S. Congress are getting uneasy with President Joe Biden’s push for a bipartisan infrastructure deal, warning they could block an agreement that falls short of what they think the country needs.

end quotes

Which thought takes us to a Newsweek article entitled “A Middle Class Rebellion Against Progressives Is Gaining Steam” by Joel Kotkin on 4 June 2021, where we have in response to that, as follows:

The echoes of another potentially larger pushback can already be heard in progressive America.

And this new middle-class rebellion is being bolstered by a wide-ranging intellectual rebellion by traditional liberals against the Left’s dogmatism and intolerance.

Indeed, what we’re about to see has the potential to reprise the great shift among old liberals that had them embracing Reagan in reaction to the Left’s excesses of that generation.

In a way, this should not be surprising.

After all, the progressive base is limited: According to a survey conducted by the non-partisan group More in Common, progressives constitute barely eight percent of the electorate.

end quotes

So in the “democracy” of Joe Biden which is the “soul” of the sick and twisted version of America he is trying to sell us, just eight percent of the people get to chart the course for the 92 percent, which proves that “democracy” works for them, anyway, like if did for Saddam Hussain and the Baathists in Iraq back when, which in turn takes us back to the Reuters article, to wit:

Biden has spent weeks in negotiations with Senate Republicans aiming at a sweeping package that would address the nation’s roads and bridges, as well as boost spending on schools and health care.

He has whittled his plan down to $1.7 trillion from $2.3 trillion, still well above Republicans’ latest $928 billion offer.

The two sides disagree on both what infrastructure is and how to pay for it.

Democratic Representative Pramila Jayapal, who heads the Congressional Progressive Caucus, warned that her 94 members cannot be counted on to back a small bill without a guarantee of a second package that has the support of all 50 Senate Democrats willing to push it through over Republican objections.

“Otherwise, what we’ll see is we do a small package and then all the momentum for doing something more goes away, and that is just not acceptable,” Jayapal said in an interview this week.

end quotes

Oh, really, Pramila, do tell!

And God bless Pramila, you know what I am saying?

Pramila Jayapal was born on 21 September, 1965 in Chennai, India, and now she is here, with a net worth in 2020 between $1 Million – $5 Million, dictating to Joe Biden what it is she will or will not accept, and hey, people, can you blame the poor dear?

After all, she has her net worth to defend.

Getting back to Reuters, we have:

Last month, progressives flexed their muscles when a group of six came close to torpedoing a U.S. Capitol Police budget bill intended to boost security around the building after the deadly Jan. 6 attack by followers of then-President Donald Trump.

That bill ultimately passed by only one vote.

Multiple progressive Democrats have urged Biden to abandon efforts to get Republicans on board with an infrastructure deal.

“We have the Senate, the House and the presidency.”

“Stop negotiating with a losing insurrectionist party who are trying to sabotage our democracy,” Democratic Representative Ilhan Omar tweeted on May 28.

end quotes

HUH?

“We have the Senate, the House and the presidency?”

We?

Who the **** is this “we” she is talking about?

And stop negotiating with a losing insurrectionist party who are trying to sabotage our democracy?

The only losing insurrectionist party who are trying to sabotage our democracy are these PROGRESSIVES who flock to the banner of Pramila Jaypal!

And my goodness, God bless Ilhan Omar, as well, people, for as of April of 2021, Ilhan Omar has a net wealth of $3 million!

Not at all bad for someone who came to us from the war-torn ****hole of Somalia, where according to Human Rights Watch 2020, ongoing armed conflict, insecurity, lack of state protection, and recurring humanitarian crises exposed Somali civilians to serious abuse.

end quotes

That is where this Ilhan Omar, whose political faction claims to control the Senate, the House and the presidency, gets her political views from – a war-torn ****hole that she wants to duplicate here, because ****hole factionalism and tribalism is all she knows, and let us be realistic about it people, tribalism is in her DNA going back probably millennia, so it is not surprising to see her pushing tribalism on us here in our country, which takes us back to her cultural context, to wit:

There are an estimated 2.6 million internally displaced people (IDPs), many living unassisted and vulnerable to abuse.

The United Nations Assistance Mission in Somalia (UNSOM) recorded a total of 1,154 civilian casualties by mid-November.

Inter-clan and intra-security force violence, often over control of land and revenge killings, led to civilian deaths, injuries, and displacement, as did sporadic military operations, including airstrikes, against Al-Shabab by Somali government forces, African Union Mission in Somalia (AMISOM) troops, and other foreign forces.

Federal and regional authorities, particularly in Somaliland, continued to restrict free expression and media freedoms, including by harassing and arbitrarily detaining journalists and perceived critics, and temporarily shutting down media outlets.

end quotes

And if and when Ilhan gets her way, that is what we can expect from her here.

Getting back to Reuters, we have:

Progressives want the president to give Congress the green light to use a process known as “reconciliation” that would allow a bill to move through the Senate with just Democratic support.

That is how the $1.9 trillion COVID-19 relief bill was enacted in March.

end quotes

So much for this BULL**** Joe Biden is peddling as prime beef when he says “democracy is more than a form of government — it is a way of being,” which for him and his CULT of followers, it actually is, like a religion, and “Democracy must be defended at all costs,” and “Democracy, that’s the soul of America!”

THE CAPE CHARLES MIRROR JUNE 18, 2021 AT 9:20 PM

Paul Plante says:

And here, barely six months in, and “Corn Pop” Biden losing another discrimination lawsuit against heteronormative white men, his second, which far surpasses anything Trump did in his first six months in office, since I don’t remember Trump losing two discrimination lawsuits in his first six months like goofy old Joe has, which takes us to a Reuters story entitled “U.S. defends minority farmer debt relief despite legal fight” by Reuters Staff on June 15, 2021, to wit:

CHICAGO (Reuters) – The U.S. Agriculture Department (USDA) is defending efforts to wipe clean government-backed loans to farmers facing decades of discrimination, despite a temporary restraining order on the debt relief plan issued by a U.S. District court last week.

A USDA spokesperson said the agency will be ready to process payments on an estimated $4 billion in debt relief for 17,000 Black, Indigenous, Hispanic and Asian farmers once legal battles are resolved.

It planned to start the payments in June.

“USDA will continue to forcefully defend its ability to carry out this act of Congress and deliver debt relief to socially disadvantaged borrowers,” a USDA spokesperson said on Tuesday.

end quotes

Socially disadvantaged borrowers?

What the **** is a “socially disadvantaged borrower?”

How is that defined?

How is that measured?

And obviously not fairly, given that goofy old Joe just got sued over the term, which is a made-up term, which takes us back to that story, and by the way, what Joe is doing here is handing out free money in the form of “loans” which he then forgives, which is buying votes for the Democrat party using federal tax dollars to do so with, a scandal that matches any of the corruption of the Warren Harding administration or the corrupt Grant administration, to wit:

The spokesperson said the government cannot appeal the restraining order, which pauses payments until the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Wisconsin rules more broadly on a lawsuit over whether or not the debt relief program discriminates against non-minority farmers.

For decades, USDA employees and programs have discriminated against socially disadvantaged farmers by denying loans and delaying payments, resulting in $120 billion in lost farmland value since 1920, according to a 2018 Tufts University analysis.

The Biden administration’s loan forgiveness program is aimed at addressing those systemic inequities.

end quotes

The Biden administration’s loan forgiveness program is aimed at buying votes for the Democrat party, plain and simple!

Getting back to the story:

The lawsuit, filed by the Wisconsin Institute for Law and Liberty on behalf of 12 white farmers, aims to halt the debt relief by claiming it excludes farmers on the basis of race.

It is one of several lawsuits filed after the USDA detailed plans to implement the minority farmer debt-relief provision, which is part of the American Rescue Plan Act that Congress passed in March.

Judge William C. Griesbach, U.S. District Judge for the Eastern District of Wisconsin, granted the temporary restraining order on June 10.

“The obvious response to a government agency that claims it continues to discriminate against farmers because of their race or national origin is to direct it to stop,” Griesbach said in the decision.

But Joe Biden stop discriminating against white men?

I’m not seeing it happen myself, because I truly believe Joe Biden has an implicit bias against heteronormative white men in his DNA going back millennia.

If anything, this loss will have Joe lashing out against heteronormative white men even more.
