THE BOSTON HERALD

"Battenfeld: Inflation inflicting final death blow for Joe Biden’s failing presidency"

Joe Battenfeld

18 JUNE 2022

Soaring inflation is inflicting the final death blow on Joe Biden’s failing presidency and he can’t even defend himself any more.

“We gotta go!” Jill Biden told reporters who were questioning the president about rising prices on his way to yet another long weekend at his Delaware beach house.

Yikes.

Talk about embarrassing.

Just before Jill stepped in, the president was in denial about rising gas prices.

“It should not be this high,” an incredulous Biden insisted on the White House lawn, with first cat Willow in tow.

“They (oil companies) are making exorbitant profits, No. 1."

"No. 2, I’ve contacted them, my team has, to ask what their plans are …"

"There are 9,000 leases — 9,000 — that they can drill … but they’re not doing it.”

There was a number three, but Jill Biden intervened, so we’ll never know.

What we do know is that Biden’s presidency is porked.

Two new polls put his approval rate at an all-time low of 39%, and things are so bad that Donald Trump would now beat him.

Democrats are looking at a catastrophic loss in November, losing control of Congress to Republicans.

In a new Yahoo News poll of registered voters, 44% would cast ballots for the former president, with Biden at 42%.

And this poll was conducted as Democrats were trying to implicate Trump in the Jan. 6 Capitol attack, using dramatic, prime time hearings to supposedly turn the public tide against him.

It’s not working.

In one key stat, 64% of independent voters have an unfavorable opinion of Biden, and only 28% say they’d vote for him over Trump.

Biden is trying everything to turn around his presidency, even resorting to giving a rare interview to the Associated Press, but that only made him look more out of touch.

Biden insisted a recession is not coming and that there’s “zero evidence” that inflation was triggered by his $2 billion coronavirus relief package.

Instead Biden blamed everything on COVID-19.

“People are really, really down,” Biden said.

“Their need for mental health in America has skyrocketed because people have seen everything upset.”

Maybe what Biden really needs to rescue his presidency is a good public relations campaign.

Baby boomers may remember back in 1974, when Gerald Ford tried to combat crippling inflation with the slogan, “Whip Inflation Now ” — complete with “WIN” buttons that people were supposed to wear.

Sure, that’ll work.

Never mind that the “WIN” campaign was described as “one of the biggest government public relations blunders ever.”

Biden will take whatever he can get.

Maybe he can spend some of that COVID relief money to hire an advertising firm to come up with a new campaign.

How does “People are really, really down” sound?

THE HILL

"When will the media stop shamelessly prostrating itself before Hillary Clinton?"

Opinion by Merrill Matthews, Opinion Contributor

21 JUNE 2022

Another major media interview with former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, another missed opportunity to ask Clinton about her role in the Russian collusion scam.

Edward Luce, the U.S. national editor for the Financial Times (FT), recently interviewed Clinton over lunch at a Washington hotel.

FT published parts of the interview on June 18.

Like virtually every other reporter with the mainstream media, Luce asked mostly softball questions and never asked about what she knew and when she knew it with respect to her campaign’s financing of the now-discredited Steele dossier.

It isn’t that Luce is unaware of the allegations.

As an aside, he notes that the interview took place on the day a Clinton campaign legal adviser, Michael Sussmann, was acquitted of the charge “that he improperly influenced the FBI to investigate links between Donald Trump’s campaign and the Kremlin.”

But the big news from the Sussmann trial was that Clinton’s former campaign manager, Robby Mook, testified that Clinton knew and approved the Steele dossier project in an effort to undermine Donald Trump.

George Washington Law School Professor Jonathan Turley outlined the whole scheme in The Hill: “(T)here was her former campaign manager, Robby Mook, telling a jury that Clinton personally approved a plan to spread the claim of covert communications between the Trump organization and the Russian bank.”

The tentacles of this scheme eventually led to falsely accusing several other people of collusion, an FBI agent lying to the FISA Court, widespread media promotion as if it were a true story and eventually a special counsel, Robert Mueller, who spent two years and millions of taxpayer dollars investigating the allegations only to find no evidence of Russian collusion.

Turley concludes: “It was one of the most successful disinformation campaigns in American politics, and Mook implicated Clinton as green-lighting the gas-lighting of the electorate.”

And did I mention that last March it was reported that the Federal Election Commission (FEC) fined the Clinton campaign $8,000 and the Democratic National Committee (DNC) $105,000 for “failing to properly report money spent on research for the dossier”?

The Clinton campaign paid $175,000 and the DNC paid more than $849,000 for what they falsely claimed were “legal services,” when what they were really doing was funding the Steele dossier.

Clinton’s paying the fine was a tacit admission of guilt.

Shouldn’t those facts make a reporter curious?

Not Luce.

If he asked Clinton about those issues, they don’t appear in his rather fawning interview.

In fact, Clinton has conducted several public interviews in the past few months (e.g., with “PBS NewsHour’s” Judy Woodruff and on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe”) to talk about Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, women’s rights and other issues.

She also talked with NPR’s Scott Simon last October.

The reporters and interviewers often asked for her thoughts on the state of democracy in the United States.

Not one of those interviewers or others that I have seen has brought up Clinton’s involvement and funding of the Steele dossier.

Or as Turley so vividly put it, her “green-lighting the gas-lighting of the electorate.”

But they have given her time to express her deep concerns about democracy in the United States, and she gladly embraces the opportunity.

The Financial Times’ Luce quotes Clinton as saying at the end of the interview.

“We are standing on the precipice of losing our democracy, and everything that everybody else cares about then goes out the window.”

I think it’s fair to say that most mainstream media journalists, if given the chance to interview Trump, would press him about his false claims that he won the 2020 election.

They would see that as a journalistic duty, and they would be right.

But those same journalists, when given the chance to interview Clinton, seem too enamored and thankful to be in the great lady’s presence to bring up her own role in undermining democracy.

Luce ends the interview with this Clinton quote, “Look, the most important thing is to win the next election."

"The alternative is so frightening that whatever does not help you win should not be a priority.”

Clinton took extraordinary steps to try to win the 2016 election.

Should “whatever does not help you win should not be a priority” be a warning to all of us about steps she or others may take in 2022 — or 2024?

"U.S. Capitol riot panel faces questions over Trump fracas in SUV"

By Richard Cowan

June 29, 2022

WASHINGTON, June 29 (Reuters) - A congressional probe into the Jan. 6 assault on the U.S. Capitol by Donald Trump supporters faced questions on Wednesday about what steps it had taken to corroborate a White House aide's account of the then-president having struggled with Secret Service agents in his armored SUV that day.

U.S. media outlets, citing Secret Service sources, said the head of Trump's security detail, Robert Engel, and the driver of the car were prepared to challenge the aide's testimony that Trump grabbed the steering wheel of the modified Chevrolet Suburban when he learned that the Secret Service would not drive him to the Capitol, where thousands of his supporters rioted.

Neither Engel nor the driver made public statements on Wednesday.

Trump on Tuesday denied having grabbed the wheel.

An aide to the U.S. House of Representatives committee on Jan. 6 said it would welcome testimony from any witness who wished to provide new information under oath following Tuesday's testimony by Cassidy Hutchinson, an aide to Trump's White House Chief of Staff Mark Meadows.

The House aide on Wednesday declined to answer questions about whether the committee already had interviewed Secret Service agents or other officials with first-hand knowledge of the incident Hutchinson described.

Secret Service spokesman Anthony Guglielmi said on Wednesday the committee had not sought to confirm details of Hutchinson's testimony in the 10 days before the hearing, which was scheduled unusually quickly.

In a separate statement it said it was cooperating with the committee.

Guglielmi did not immediately respond to questions about the significance of the 10 days or whether the committee contacted the agency previously to discuss Trump's Jan. 6 behavior.

Hutchinson testified that Tony Ornato, a senior Secret Service official, told her that Trump had struggled with agents after giving a fiery speech to his supporters outside the White House that morning in which he repeatedly falsely blamed widespread fraud for his election loss to Joe Biden.

The riot was an attempt to stop Congress, with Vice President Pence presiding, from certifying Biden's election.

'THE OTHER SIDE OF THE STORY'

"If it is true the Secret Service denies the allegations against President Trump of lunging and assaulting officers, then the story is really passing along gossip that did not bear fruit," Republican U.S. Senator Lindsey Graham said on Wednesday.

"The committee, with a little bit of effort, could have told the other side of the story but they chose NOT to because they wanted sensational headlines."

Supporters of the Republican Trump have not challenged other revelations in Hutchinson's testimony.

These included Trump's knowledge - even approval - of his supporters walking around Washington heavily armed on Jan. 6 and that he had no qualms about rioters urging that Pence be hanged.

Hutchinson also testified that Trump was known for angry outbursts in the White House that left food being splayed onto walls and dishes upended.

"Cassidy Hutchinson's testimony before the Jan. 6 Committee has been praised as 'courageous' and dismissed as 'unbelievable,'" said Democratic Senator Dick Durbin on Twitter on Wednesday.

"It's time for those present for some of the darkest moments for our democracy to come forward under oath and, like her, tell their stories."

Durbin chairs the Senate Judiciary Committee.

Also on Wednesday, a lawyer for Virginia "Ginni" Thomas, the wife of U.S. Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas, demanded the committee provide a better "justification" for seeking testimony from her.

Earlier this month, Ginni Thomas told the Daily Caller that she was eager to "clear up misconceptions" about her activism in conservative political circles and her attendance at the Trump rally on Jan. 6.

As Meadows' former deputy, Hutchinson, now 26, was a constant presence among White House staff in the last several months of 2020, frequently flying aboard Air Force One, friendly with staff and with Trump’s Secret Service detail.

Her office was a 10-second walk from the president's Oval Office.

Aides who worked at the White House were surprised at the outsized influence for a then-24-year-old and surprised at her tale of drama on the SUV the day of the riot.

Sources familiar with the matter said she had planned to join the small contingent of staffers who moved to Florida with Trump after he handed over power to Joe Biden in January 2021, but Trump ultimately opted not to hire her.

WTEN - ALBANY

"71 percent don't want Biden to run for re-election: poll"

Caroline Vakil

1 JULY 2022

(The Hill) – Seven in 10 Americans say they do not want President Biden to run for a second term, according to a new poll that comes as Biden’s approval numbers remain low and his party braces for losses this November.

A Harvard CAPS–Harris Poll survey shared exclusively with The Hill found that 71 percent of respondents polled do not think Biden should run for a second term compared to 29 percent who say he should run.

Among the contingent of respondents who believe the president should not run, 45 percent said Biden should not make another bid because he is a bad president, while about one-third of respondents said he is too old and about one-quarter said because it was time for a change.

“President Biden may want to run again but the voters say ‘no’ to the idea of a second term, panning the job he is doing as president."

"Only 30 per cent of Democrats would even vote for him in a Democratic presidential primary,” Mark Penn, the co-director of the Harvard CAPS-Harris Poll survey, said.

But a majority of respondents - 61 percent - also say former President Trump should not run for the White House in 2024.

Thirty-nine percent of respondents said the former president should run again.

Among the respondents polled who believe Trump should not make another bid in the next presidential cycle, 36 percent said Trump was erratic, 33 percent said he would divide the country and 30 percent said he was responsible for Jan. 6, 2021, when a mob of pro-Trump supporters ransacked the Capitol in an effort to stop Congress from certifying the election results.

A majority of those polled said they would consider a moderate independent candidate should Biden and Trump square off against each other in 2024, including majorities of both Republicans and Democrats polled.

Sixty percent said they would consider a moderate independent candidate for president if Biden and Trump ended up running against each other in the next presidential cycle, compared to 40 percent who said they would not consider it.

Broken down by party, 53 percent of Republicans polled and 64 percent of Democrats said they would consider a moderate independent candidate in that situation.

The development comes as Biden continues to suffer low approval ratings.

The Harvard CAPS–Harris Poll found that the president has an overall approval rating of 38 percent, with respondents given him low marks on handling inflation (28 percent), the economy (32 percent), stimulating jobs (43 percent) and reacting to COVID-19 (50 percent), among other issues.

Democrats are already bracing for losses this November given Biden's low approval numbers and the historical precedent that a first-term president's party generally suffers losses in the following midterms.

In the wake of the Supreme Court's ruling last week overturning Roe v. Wade, Democrats have used abortion as an issue to galvanize voters, though it is unclear how the issue will compare to inflation and other concerns in November.

The polling also demonstrates that while former President Trump is considered one of the most influential people within his party, Americans may not necessarily be married to the idea of voting for him in 2024.

Some of that comes against the backdrop of the House select committee investigating the Jan. 6 riot's hearings, which has sought to show how the former president and his allies tried to get state officials and others like former Vice President Mike Pence to overturn the 2020 election results.

The Harvard CAPS/Harris Poll survey was conducted on June 28 and 29 with 1,308 registered voters surveyed.

It is a collaboration of the Center for American Political Studies at Harvard University and the Harris Poll.

The survey is an online sample drawn from the Harris Panel and weighted to reflect known demographics.

As a representative online sample, it does not report a probability confidence interval.

"Trump incited Jan. 6 attack after 'unhinged' White House meeting, panel told"

By Patricia Zengerle, Richard Cowan and Doina Chiacu

July 12, 2022

WASHINGTON, July 12 (Reuters) - U.S. lawmakers on Tuesday accused Donald Trump of inciting a mob of followers to attack the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021, in a last-ditch bid to remain in power fueled by a chaotic meeting with some of his most ardent supporters.

The House of Representatives committee also produced evidence that aides and outside agitators knew before the riot that Trump would urge thousands of his supporters to march on the Capitol that day.

The panel's seven Democrats and two Republicans have used the hearings to build a case that Trump's efforts to overturn his defeat in the 2020 election constitute illegal conduct, far beyond normal politics.

As the three-hour hearing ended, Republican Representative Liz Cheney said Trump had tried to phone a potential committee witness, raising the possibility he might have illegally tried to influence witness testimony.

In video testimony shown during the hearing, witnesses described a loud late-night six-hour meeting on Dec. 18, 2020, where Trump disregarded White House staffers who urged him to concede the November 2020 election to Democrat Joe Biden.

Instead, Trump sided with outside advisers who urged him to keep pressing his baseless claims of election fraud.

Committee members said Trump ultimately was responsible for the chaos that followed.

"President Trump is a 76-year-old man."

"He is not an impressionable child."

"... He is responsible for his own actions and his own choices," said Cheney, the committee vice chairperson.

Committee members said Trump incited the riot through his refusal to admit he lost the election and through comments like his Dec. 19, 2020, Twitter post, shortly after the meeting, for supporters to flock to Washington for a "big protest," saying, "Be there, will be wild."

Trump, a Republican who has hinted he will seek the White House again in 2024, denies wrongdoing and has falsely asserted that he lost only because of widespread fraud that benefited Biden, a Democrat.

'NOT TOUGH ENOUGH'

The committee played recorded testimony from White House aides describing the angry Dec. 18 meeting where a handful of Trump's outside advisers, including his personal lawyer Rudy Giuliani, attorney Sidney Powell and Patrick Byrne, former chief executive of Overstock.com, encouraged him to fight the election result.

"I don't think any of these people were providing the president with good advice."

"I didn't understand how they had gotten in," Pat Cipollone, Trump's former White House counsel, said in video testimony.

Representative Jamie Raskin, a Democratic committee member, displayed a text from White House aide Cassidy Hutchinson, who gave explosive testimony last month, saying of the meeting, "The West Wing is unhinged."

Giuliani, who was escorted from the White House grounds, said in video testimony his argument had been: "You guys are not tough enough."

"Or maybe I put it another way: You're a bunch of pussies, excuse the expression."

"I'm almost certain the word was used."

The attack on the Capitol, following a speech Trump gave at a rally outside the White House, delayed certification of Biden's election for hours, injured more than 140 police officers and led to several deaths.

'A MOB WAS BEING ORGANIZED'

The committee presented evidence that it said showed Trump's call for his supporters to march on the Capitol was not spontaneous but had been planned in advance.

The panel showed an unsent Twitter message about the rally, with a stamp showing Trump had seen it: "Please arrive early, massive crowds expected."

"March to the Capitol after."

"Stop the Steal!"

The committee also played audio testimony from a former employee of Twitter describing his fear after Trump's December tweet and deep concern on Jan. 5 about the possibility of violence on Jan. 6.

"It felt as if a mob was being organized and they were gathering together their weaponry and their logic and their reasoning behind why they were prepared to fight," the Twitter employee said, his voice disguised.

About 800 people have been charged with taking part in the Capitol riot, with about 250 guilty pleas so far.

The hearing also looked at links between right-wing militant groups, including the Oath Keepers, Proud Boys and the QAnon internet conspiracy movement, with Trump and his allies.

Many Oath Keepers and Proud Boys participated in the Jan. 6 attack.

Two witnesses testified in the hearing room - Stephen Ayres, who has pleaded guilty to a federal charge for participating in the attack on the Capitol, and Jason Van Tatenhove, a former spokesperson for the Oath Keepers.

Ayres said he joined the march because he believed Trump, and that he had since lost his job, sold his house and no longer believes Trump's "Big Lie" that the election had been stolen.

"It changed my life, you know, definitely not for the good."

Trump and his supporters - including many Republicans in Congress - dismiss the Jan. 6 panel as a political witch hunt, but the panel's backers say it is a necessary probe into a violent threat against democracy.

Raw Story

"Mueller prosecutor slams Merrick Garland's 'myopic' investigation of Trump's coup plot"

By Matthew Chapman

12 JULY 2022

On Tuesday, POLITICO analyzed how Andrew Weissman, a key prosecutor who worked under former special counsel Robert Mueller, is publicly criticizing the way Attorney General Merrick Garland is investigating the attempts to overturn the 2020 presidential election.

"After the Mueller investigation wrapped up, Weissmann reentered private practice and has kept a relatively low profile in the media since Joe Biden’s inauguration," reported Ankush Khardori.

"That changed on Monday, when Weissmann penned an op-ed for the New York Times that sharply criticized the Justice Department’s investigation into the siege of the U.S. Capitol."

"It was an essay that captured the frustrations of some legal observers and former Justice Department prosecutors, but it drew immediate attention because it came from one of the most prominent and well-respected prosecutors in the country."

"In particular, Weissmann took issue with the department’s 'bottom up' criminal investigation and its apparent preference to focus on the Jan. 6 rioters over the former president himself," continued the report.

"Drawing on his own experience, Weissmann wrote that this 'is actually the wrong approach for investigating the Jan. 6 insurrection' and that the public hearings of the Jan. 6 select committee 'should inspire the Justice Department to rethink its approach.'"

“A myopic focus on the Jan. 6 riot is not the way to proceed if you are trying to follow the facts where they lead and to hold people ‘at any level’ criminally accountable, as Attorney General Merrick Garland promised,” wrote Weissman.

The Justice Department has taken some public steps to prosecute members of Trump's circle — but only a few.

Most notable was the indictment of Steve Bannon for contempt of Congress.

Bannon is now belatedly moving to cooperate with congressional subpoenas.

Speaking to Khardori, Weissman clarified his position.

"The department has a lot more tools to investigate than Congress," said Weissman.

"We’re in a very unusual situation where you see Congress doing a really, really good job and being out in front of, by all accounts, the federal government in many ways in terms of understanding and investigating what happened in terms of trying to undermine the last presidential election."

"And so I thought it was important to try and send at least my voice out there as to what I thought they were doing right and what I thought they were doing wrong."

RAW STORY

"Exclusive: Jan. 6 committee heard more evidence from earlier witnesses after Cassidy Hutchinson's testimony"

By Sarah K. Burris

13 JULY 2022

WASHINGTON, D.C. — Rep. Pete Aguilar (D-CA), a member of the House Select Committee investigating the Jan. 6 attack on the Capitol, revealed that since former White House aide Cassidy Hutchinson appeared in a public hearing, more evidence has been gathered by witnesses willing to come forward.

Speaking to Raw Story, Aguilar explained that not only have they had more people willing to come forward, but "people who we had previously heard form have shared more."

He explained that they're continuing to gather evidence, adding kudos to the committee staff members working diligently to collect this additional information.

Rep. Liz Cheney's (R-WY) revealed Tuesday that former President Donald Trump called another witness, even after it was revealed others were intimidated by third-party individuals in Trump's circle.

This could be an indication that Trump's lawyers don't have a hold on him the way that they thought.

Aguilar didn't get the sense that Trump's lawyers ever had a hold on someone like Pat Cipollone the way that it appears they did on Hutchinson, who had Trump's PAC paying for her lawyer until she got a new one.

"We intend to share more," said Aguilar.

"The scale and the scope, we're still working through."

"But, we want it to be something that people can digest and understand and find value in helping us protect democracy."

THE CAPE CHARLES MIRROR JULY 14, 2022 AT 8:12 PM

Paul Plante says:

And since the Cape Charles Mirror is continually evolving, like the living thing it is, in real time, as the news cycle continues to evolve itself, turning up new grist for the mill, so to speak, information relevant to the topics and subjects under discussion, like this Stalinist Show Trial under discussion in here where Donald Trump, an American citizen supposedly endowed with the same Constitutional rights to due process and equal protection of law enjoyed by his persecutors, the Pelosi-ite WITCH HUNTERS including Virginia’s Elaine Luria, is being tried in absentia by the use of HEAR SAY evidence and the technique known as LEADING THE WITNESS (asking questions in a form in which the questioner puts words in the mouth of the witness or suggests the answer), which technique we see being masterfully employed above here by WITCH HUNTER Lizzie Cheney, where the witness being led is Cassidy Hutchinson, who barely out of a college nobody has ever heard of with a bachelor’s degree in political science which is essentially worthless, especially in Washington, D.C. which degree entitles the holder to work the cash register at McDonald’s, as opposed to sweeping the floor and picking up trash in the parking lot, became overnight one of the most important and powerful people in that city full of powerful people, with this BLOCKBUSTER testimony of Cassidy Hutchinson in hand, let’s jump ahead to see where this matter now has to go, and pronto, for the good of the nation, after asking ourselves this important question, to wit:

HOW DO WE KNOW FOR SURE THAT CASSIDY HUTCHINSON’S TESTIMONY IS THE REAL DEAL WHEN IT COMES TO BEING RATED “BLOCKBUSTER?”

And for the answer to that question, all we need do is go back to the Reuters article titled “Trump incited Jan. 6 attack after ‘unhinged’ White House meeting, panel told” by Patricia Zengerle, Richard Cowan and Doina Chiacu on July 12, 2022, where we have the proof and evidence as follows:

Representative Jamie Raskin, a Democratic committee member, displayed a text from White House aide Cassidy Hutchinson, who gave explosive testimony last month, saying of the meeting, “The West Wing is unhinged.”

end quote

EXPLOSIVE TESTIMONY, people, being brought to you right in your home courtesy of the Cape Charles Mirror.

So how about that?

How often is one presented with EXPLOSIVE TESTIMONY in one lifetime, and that answer is not very often, at all!

Which bring us to where we have to go, as we can clearly see from this Raw Story article titled “Mueller prosecutor slams Merrick Garland’s ‘myopic’ investigation of Trump’s coup plot” by Matthew Chapman on 12 Jully 2022, where we have the necessary path forward now that we have this EXPLOSIVE CASSIDY HUTCHINSON TESTIMONY in hand, as follows:

On Tuesday, POLITICO analyzed how Andrew Weissman, a key prosecutor who worked under former special counsel Robert Mueller, is publicly criticizing the way Attorney General Merrick Garland is investigating the attempts to overturn the 2020 presidential election.

“After the Mueller investigation wrapped up, Weissmann reentered private practice and has kept a relatively low profile in the media since Joe Biden’s inauguration,” reported Ankush Khardori.

“That changed on Monday, when Weissmann penned an op-ed for the New York Times that sharply criticized the Justice Department’s investigation into the siege of the U.S. Capitol.”

“It was an essay that captured the frustrations of some legal observers and former Justice Department prosecutors, but it drew immediate attention because it came from one of the most prominent and well-respected prosecutors in the country.”

“In particular, Weissmann took issue with the department’s ‘bottom up’ criminal investigation and its apparent preference to focus on the Jan. 6 rioters over the former president himself,” continued the report.

“Drawing on his own experience, Weissmann wrote that this ‘is actually the wrong approach for investigating the Jan. 6 insurrection’ and that the public hearings of the Jan. 6 select committee ‘should inspire the Justice Department to rethink its approach.'”

end quotes

And look at that, people, there we have a real lawyer giving credence to these WITCH HUNTER Hearings, which because of the troubled nature of the times we are now in, are taking the place of Grand Jury proceedings to indict Trump, because let’s face it, people, this is far too important to trust a Grand Jury of mere citizens with, as we see from the following:

“We’re in a very unusual situation where you see Congress doing a really, really good job and being out in front of, by all accounts, the federal government in many ways in terms of understanding and investigating what happened in terms of trying to undermine the last presidential election.”

end quotes

To boil it down and simplify it, Merrick Garland HAS to indict Trump right now, and get him before a jury, or risk losing all his credibility.

Afterall, what more does he need, now that he has got a STAR WITNESS in the person of Cassidy Hutchinson who can hang Trump out to dry with that EXPLOSIVE TESTIMONY of hers.

Time’s a’wasting here, Merrick?

What are you waiting on, dude?

The stars to be in their proper alignment?

You’ve got what you need to put Trump behind bars for the rest of his life, so he won’t be a threat to the Democrats and Joe Biden, anymore, so let’s stop the feet-dragging and get it done for the good of America and our SACRED DEMOCRACY!

THE CAPE CHARLES MIRROR JULY 15, 2022 AT 5:48 PM

Paul Plante says:

And as we consider this EXPLOSIVE TESTIMONY of the WOMAN SCORNED Cassidy Hutchinson in this made-for-TV drama called the JANUARY SIXTH COMMITTEE HEARINGS starring Virginia’s Elaine Luria as a WITCH HUNTER EXRAORDINAIRE, which EXPLOSIVE TESTIMONY is going to allow Biden pet poodle Merrick Garland to put Trump behind bars for the rest of his natural-born days, thus removing him as a threat to Joe Biden’s chances of being re-elected in 2024, there is some interesting stuff out there on the internet if one but looks for it, and what it looks like is that BEFORE Cassidy Hutchinson was against Trump, she was actually for Trump, before she got scorned by Trump and turned against him, a clear message to those out there who think it is alright to scorn women, thinking you can get away with it, and after turning against Trump, so that she could change her testimony to be against Trump and not for Trump as she was before the switch, she switched lawyers, which is how you do that and get away with it, to wit:

BLOOMBERG

"Jan. 6 Panel Extends Inquiry Because Information Keeps Coming"

Billy House

18 JULY 2022

(Bloomberg) -- The House committee investigating the Jan. 6 attack on the US Capitol, which had planned to finish its inquiry by September, will instead keep operating beyond that because more information keeps coming in, the panel’s chairman said Monday night.

The chairman, Representative  Bennie Thompson of Mississippi, also said that what had been anticipated to be a final report in September on the committee’s findings will now be a “scaled-back” interim report.

He did not predict a date as to when the final report would be completed.

Thompson told reporters that “we’re also going to have to do some additional public facing,” though he stopped short of saying whether that meant more hearings, or exactly how many.

“We’re just getting a significant amount of information we didn’t have access to,” Thompson said.

“And so because of that, obviously, we can’t meet what we felt was an optimistic timeline.”

Thompson said that includes such information as US Secret Service emails and texts from Jan. 5 and Jan. 6, some of which are expected to be turned over to the panel on Tuesday.

Pressed as to whether the committee might continue to work until as late as December, he said “we want to be as thorough as we can.”

Republicans are favored to win back the House in the midterm elections.

The committee is set to hold a televised hearing at 8 p.m. Thursday -- the eighth in a series of such sessions held since June, and the second in prime time.

The session is to be focused on then-President Donald Trump’s actions on Jan. 6 as his supporters march on the Capitol, where both houses of Congress were preparing to certify the Electoral College victory of his Democratic opponent, Joe Biden.

Thompson said at least one other hearing would be held to accompany the release the newly dubbed scaled-back report sometime in September.

Another hearing, he added, would be held for the release of the final report, whenever that might be.
