Paul R. Plante says:

In “1984,” just as there is in the Biden administration, there is a Ministry of Truth, which like Joe Biden’s Ministry of Truth, is really the Ministry of Propaganda.

In both cases, the Ministry of Truth is responsible for any necessary falsification of historical events.

As well as administering “truth”, the ministry spreads a new language amongst the populace called Newspeak, in which, for example, “truth” is understood to mean statements like 2 + 2 = 5 when the situation warrants.

In keeping with the concept of doublethink, the ministry is thus aptly named in that it creates/manufactures “truth” in the Newspeak sense of the word.

In 1984, the book describes the doctoring of historical records to show a government-approved version of events, and in an article in The Hill titled “Joe Biden’s ‘Ministry of Truth’” by Joe Concha on 05/01/22, we find the Biden administration doing the exact same thing, to wit:

The Biden administration’s Department of Homeland Security (DHS) announced this week that it has launched what is being dubbed a Disinformation Governance Board to combat “misinformation.”

The person chosen to lead this new “Committee of Public Information” under Mayorkas is Nina Jankowicz, who calls herself “a disinformation fellow” and a Russian disinformation expert.

Here’s what Mayorkas’s choice to helm Biden’s “Ministry of Truth” once said about Hunter Biden’s infamous laptop, which many on the left and in the media dubbed as Russian disinformation in the weeks before the 2020 election.

“We should view it as a Trump campaign product,” Jankowicz said of the story at the time.

“Not to mention that the emails don’t need to be altered to be part of an influence campaign.”

“Voters deserve that context, not a [fairy] tale about a laptop repair shop,” she also tweeted in October 2020.

end quotes

Yes, people, Joe Biden’s Ministry of Truth is indeed responsible for any necessary falsification of historical events, and there we had a case of it right above here.

As is the case in the novel “1984,” Joe Biden’s Ministry of Truth is involved with news media, entertainment, the fine arts and educational books, and as we saw above, its purpose is to rewrite history to change the facts to fit Democrat Party doctrine for propaganda effect, so that if Big Brother Joe Biden makes a prediction that turns out to be wrong, the employees of the Ministry of Truth correct the record to make it accurate, which is the “how” of the Ministry of Truth’s existence.

As in the novel, the deeper reason for the existence of Joe Biden’s Ministry of Truth, the “why”, is to maintain the illusion that the Democrat Party is absolute, because to maintain power the Democrat Party must seem eternally right and strong.

And as in the novel, in real life, Minitrue plays a role by changing history, and changing the words in articles about events current and past, so that Big Brother Joe Biden and his government are always seen in a good light and can never do any wrong, and in both cases, the content is more propaganda than actual news.

Which brings us to an OK! Magazine article titled “White House Confession in Leaked Memo About Biden Cash Scandal” by Aaron Johnson on 25 May 2023, where we have as follows:

House Republicans, led by Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer, are “admitting” to probing into President Joe Biden’s family finances as an attempt to damage his reputation, according to a memo obtained by NBC News.

“Extreme MAGA House Republicans are being caught doing something they rarely do: telling the truth,” White House spokesperson Ian Sams said.

“They are admitting through their own words and deeds that these so-called ‘investigations’ are actually intended not to reveal facts but to hurt the President’s political standing.”

end quotes

And isn’t he really something, people, Joe Biden’s political propagandist Ian Sams who in an online EXECUTIVE OFFICE OF THE PRESIDENT ANNUAL REPORT TO CONGRESS ON WHITE HOUSE OFFICE PERSONNEL as of Date: Friday, July 1, 2022, was listed as follows:

SAMS, IAN C. EMPLOYEE $110,000 Per Annum SPECIAL ASSISTANT TO THE PRESIDENT AND SENIOR ADVISOR TO THE WHITE HOUSE COUNSEL

end quote

Not at all bad money, people, is it for telling bald-faced lies to the American people to combat the truth about Joe Biden, so you parents out there teaching your children to be truthful and forthright should consider that maybe you are taking them in the wrong direction, because as Ian Sams makes clear here, in Democrat politics, anyway, the BIG BUCK$ go to the accomplished liars like Ian, not to truth-tellers, and as to his qualifications to be a BIDEN PROPAGANDIST, on his Linked-in page, Joe’s spokesperson and defender Ian Sams describes himself as follows, to wit:

I am a communications professional and strategist, with experience conveying both political and policy objectives on the record for seven state and federal campaigns, including two presidential campaigns, the Democratic Party, in the U.S. Senate, and for the Biden Administration’s COVID response effort. I’ve spent a decade in the trenches of national politics and government — managing teams, media relations, message development, and candidate and principal training and prep. I have deep experience with strategic communications planning, rapid response, crisis communications, domestic policy messaging, and digital content.

Paul R. Plante says:

We common folks in America have become used to the fact that when Joe Biden says something, pretty much anything, for that matter, the actual meaning is the opposite of the words Joe is actually uttering, so that on July 19, 2021, when in his “Remarks by President Biden on the Economy,” Joe said “I’ve said it before, and it’s true: This is a blue-collar blueprint for building an American economy back,” what Joe was really saying was “this is a blueprint for building an American economy on the backs of the blue-collar workers of America,” which takes us to a Reuters article titled “Inflation has eroded US households’ financial security, Fed survey shows” on May 22, 2023, where we have what Joe is talking about in technicolor, to wit:

May 22 (Reuters) – The inflation wave that crested at a 40-year high last year and remains elevated has eroded U.S. households’ sense of financial security, the Federal Reserve reported Monday, with many saying they had reduced their savings to make ends meet, felt less secure about retirement, and had delayed purchases or swapped into cheaper products as they shopped.

end quote

Said the way it should be said, the MIRACLE BIDEN ECONOMY is looting their savings, leaving them poorer than they were before Joe came along to rob them, which takes us back to Reuters, as follows:

In an annual survey showing the corrosive effects of inflation on Americans’ economic confidence, the Fed said the percentage of respondents who said they were doing “at least okay financially” in 2022 tumbled by 5 percentage points – the most since the survey was launched a decade ago – to 73%.

It had stood at a record high the year before.

The share of those saying they were worse off shot up 15 points to 35%, the highest level by far since the Fed first started asking that question in 2014.

end quotes

They are worse off thanks to Joe Biden making them that way, which again takes us back to Reuters, to wit:

Those who considered their retirement savings “on track” fell to 31% among those not yet retired, compared to 40% in 2021.

With a 2024 presidential campaign already in its early stages, the survey also suggested Americans’ souring mood about their own finances carried over to their view of the national economy.

Even though the unemployment rate has been low, below 4%, since January of 2022, only 18% of respondents rated the national economy as “good” or “excellent,” down from 50% as of 2019.

Fifty-four percent of adults said that their budgets had been affected “a lot” by price increases, with parents of children under 18, Black and Latin American adults and those with disabilities ranking among the most likely to report an impact from inflation.

Indeed, overall one-third of households cited inflation as their main financial challenge, up more than fourfold from 2016.

A question meant to measure households’ wherewithal to overcome a modest financial emergency showed fewer thought they had the ability to meet an unexpected $400 expense using cash or the equivalent, such as a credit card expected to be repaid in full at the next statement.

end quotes

And from there, let’s go to a Fox News article titled “Inflation pummeled US household finances last year, Fed survey finds” by Breck Dumas on 22 May 2023, where we have more on Joe building his economy which benefits rich Democrats on the backs of blue-collar workers in America, to wit:

Historically high inflation took a notable toll on Americans’ finances last year, when rising prices outpaced wage gains and chewed into household budgets, according to newly released Federal Reserve data.

The central bank’s 2022 Survey of Household Economics and Decision Making (SHED) report released Monday, which was fielded from October 2021 through November 1, 2022, found the share of U.S. adults who reported they were worse off financially than a year earlier jumped from 20% to 35% – the highest level since the question was first asked nearly a decade ago.

The share of adults who reported spending less than their income in the month before the survey fell below pre-pandemic levels, while the share of Americans who reported their credit card debt increased rose.

The Fed said “inflation affected people’s spending and saving choices in several different ways,” pointing out that nearly two-thirds of adults stopped using a product or used less because of higher prices, 64% switched to a cheaper alternative, and more than half (51%) of Americans reduced their savings due to their budgets being squeezed.

Working adults also showed greater anxiety about being able to afford to retire.

Only 31% of non-retirees reported that their retirement savings plans were on track last fall, a nine-point drop from 2021.

The Fed has raised interest rates 10 consecutive times to the highest level in 16 years in its most aggressive tightening campaign since the 1980s as it battles to bring prices down, but another survey released Monday shows America’s top economists do not expect the central bank to reach its 2% goal any time soon.

The National Association for Business Economics (NABE) outlook survey found just 2% of business forecasters said they believe inflation will have slowed to 2% by the second half of 2023, while a 59% majority don’t believe inflation will decline to the Fed’s target level until 2025 or later.

end quotes

Bottom line, people, we are going to be paying Joe Biden’s INFLATION TAX for some time yet to come.

And that right now is the latest news about Joe Biden’s MIRACLE ECONOMY for the rich, but stay tuned because it does not end there!

Op-Ed: Joe Biden’s Unhealthy Obsession With Sexual Orientation

The following Op-Ed was written and submitted by Paul Plante

One would think, if one was in fact capable of the act, anymore, that with all of what is going on in the world today, starting with this very country and all of its serious problems made worse by the fiscal profligacy and sheer incompetence of the Biden administration, that as the one who owns the desk where the buck does stop, or used to, anyway, before Joe Biden got there, that Joe would be diligently at work each day searching for solutions to say, the border crisis, or the fentanyl crisis, or his war of choice in Ukraine that Joe has lost control of because he never had control to begin with.

But if one were so foolish as to think that, one would be dead wrong, and sadly so, because instead of reading about Joe being hard at work taking care that OUR laws are being faithfully executed, which they are not, we are instead reading about Joe trying to grope Desperate Housewives star Eva Longoria, for example, which in turn takes us to a scholarly article from the National Library of Medicine titled “Treatment of Inappropriate Sexual Behavior in Dementia” by Riccardo De Giorgi, MD, and Hugh Series, MD, where we learn more about what seems to afflict Joe Biden as he sinks further and further into his dotage, leaving the world of rationality we reside in further and further in his wake, to wit:

Inappropriate sexual behavior (ISB) is a relatively common and potentially disruptive form of behavior in people with dementia.

It can cause considerable distress and put placements and people at risk.

In elderly patients with dementia, a combination of cognitive deterioration, worsening judgment, and personality changes probably contributes to changes in sexual attitude and behavior.

The most common alteration reported in people with dementia is apathy and indifference to sex.

Nevertheless, inappropriate sexual behavior (ISB, also known as sexually disinhibited behavior, or hypersexuality) has been consistently described in most dementia syndromes.

end quotes

And as a concerned American citizen watching Joe Biden clearly going downhill, with his attempted groping of Eva Longoria, it would seem that Joe is becoming a classic textbook example of an elderly person with dementia exhibiting sexually disinhibited behavior, which takes us back to that scientific analysis, to wit:

The concept of ISB has developed over time.

Johnson et al. define it as, “a disruptive behavior characterized by a verbal or physical act of an explicit or perceived sexual nature, which is unacceptable within the social context in which it is carried out.”

end quotes

And clearly, Joe Biden’s very public attempted groping of Eva Longoria on the white house lawn in front of a crowd of people itself is a classic textbook example of “disruptive behavior characterized by a physical act of an explicit or perceived sexual nature, which is unacceptable within the social context in which it is carried out,” which conduct by Joe should itself be the subject of a scientific study by a multi-disciplinary team of experts researching inappropriate sexual behavior in an aging, sitting American president.

And at a time in this nation’s history when according to Suffolk University/USA Today poll released on 12 June 2023, 66 percent of individuals believe the country is currently heading in the wrong direction, what direction does Joe Biden seem bound and determined to continue to take us in?

For a glimpse at that answer, let’s go to an article titled “Who’s Your Daddy? Biden’s ‘Our Kids’ Comment Sparks Fierce Debate!” by Rhonna Morala on 19 June 2023, where we have, not surprisingly, given Joe’s obsession with sexual orientation, as follows:

In the latest brouhaha from Washington, President Biden decided to stir the pot with a controversial tweet where he proclaimed LGBTQ youth as “all our kids.”

end quotes

Why, of the things that should be on Joe’s desk demanding his attention, is Joe Biden making presidential proclamations about LGBTQ youth in America?

In the June 10, 2023 Remarks by President Biden and First Lady Jill Biden at Pride Celebration, we had Doctor Jill Biden, who Joe is the husband of, informing the non-LGBTQ American people who were excluded from that celebration, as follows:

Welcome to the White House.

And happy Pride. (Applause.)

The Pride Celebration is always one of the most exciting events at the White House.

end quotes

And to see what makes it so exciting for Dr. Jill, and Joe, simply go to Asses & Villains in the CCM for June 18, 2023 http://www.capecharlesmirror.com/assesv … ent-812931 and scan down about two-thirds of the way of the original post where you will see a picture worth a thousand words in answer to that, and my goodness, people, who wouldn’t get excited looking at the perfectly sculpted hooters on that dude, who is one of Joe’s BIDEN WOMEN, which is to say, a surgically altered male, which today are Joe Biden’s ideal American women.

And then we have Dr. Jill’s husband Joe being introduced as follows, to wit:

MS. SCARLET HARVEY: It’s an honor to introduce a true ally of the LGBTQ+ community, the 46th President of the United States, Joe Biden. (Applause.)

AUDIENCE: Joe! Joe! Joe!

end quotes

To which applause Joe responds as follows:

THE PRESIDENT: Hello, hello, hello. (Applause.)

We’re gathered here today to honor the extraordinary — and I’m not being solicitous — the extraordinary courage and contributions of the LGBTQ community, to celebrate their legacy and their progress.

And we welcome to the largest Pride Month celebration ever held at the White House.

But just the beginning. (Applause.)

end quotes

And when Joe is on a roll, and he clearly was there, talking to his chosen people, he gets to ranting and raving and gesticulating with arms flailing around in the air like a fundamentalist preacher at a tent revival as he calls down fire and brimstone and anathema on the unbelievers, which takes us to this from Joe, to wit:

Look, I think we can all agree: No one — no one should have to fear for their safety in this country.

No one should be singled out or demonized or made to feel less than anyone else.

end quotes

And who in their right minds could possibly argue against that?

So why then do we have Ben Shapiro, Editor Emeritus, Daily Wire, telling us of real women in his Orthodox Jewish congregation who were exercising at a females-only gym for modesty purposes, they being religious women who don’t wish to be stared at by men, or to see men in various states of undress, who had one of Joe’s BIDEN WOMEN come to the gym, where the man, who Joe tells us is really a woman, who in that case retained his male biological characteristics, then entered the locker room and proceeded to disrobe, and when told by management that he could use a private dressing room, he refused, announcing that he was a woman and could disrobe in front of all the other women, so that many of the actual biological women began canceling their memberships, because Joe Biden’s policies cause them to have to fear for their safety in this country?

Clearly, they, and all these other women in this country confronted with BIDEN WOMEN with male packages in their dressing rooms are in fact being singled out and demonized and made to feel less than Joe’s BIDEN WOMEN, who are really men.

And not surprisingly, Joe and Dr. Jill don’t give a damn about those women who happen to be just as American as anyone at Joe’s GAY PRIDE CELEBRATION.

So what really is the message here?

Considering that according to a Gallup poll on February 17, 2022, the percentage of U.S. adults who identify as lesbian, gay, bisexual or transgender was 7.1%, and in June of this year, fully sixty-six percent of the American people believe Joe is taking the nation in the wrong direction, could it be because Joe is spending far too much time dividing us, as opposed to uniting us?

What say you, America?

THE CAPE CHARLES MIRROR JUNE 26, 2023 AT 5:49 PM

Paul R. Plante says:

And while we are on this very serious subject of Joe Biden’s quite obvious cognitive decline that the Democrats and their media enablers are trying and failing to keep covered up, we have to consider another very serious aspect of Joe’s dementia beyond his inappropriate sexual behavior, which is a relatively common and potentially disruptive form of behavior in people with dementia like Joe Biden, and his unhealthy obsession with people’s sexual orientation, and that is Joe’s propensity to lie to us and tell us tall tales, which was the subject on a political essay on the 1945 site titled “Joe Biden Is a Gaffe Machine and a Liar Like No Other” by Peter Suciu on 14 May 2023, as follows:

The truth is that Biden has always been a gaffe machine and that’s not new.

As a senator and then as vice president, he routinely misspoke.

It may have gotten worse as he’s gotten older, but these gaffes will continue to haunt him – especially in the social media era, where video montages can be produced by literally anyone.

The other issue that Biden will have to get past is the fact that he is also a serial liar; one who has a penchant for telling tall tales.

Biden is the hero in every one of his stories, somehow an everyman who is a jack-of-all-trades.

He clearly loves being a storyteller, even when the fact checkers pounce.

The problem now is that the gaffes, lies, and other stumbles will live forever.

It makes it hard to call out Trump for his lies, even if many are worse.

Some liberals may say there is a false equivalency in comparing the lies of a stolen election to giving Uncle Frank a Purple Heart, but voters will – and arguably should – demand better from our officials.

A lie isn’t a mere gaffe.

But coupled together, one could question whether Joe Biden actually lives in reality.

He can dismiss forgetting the fact that Walorski had been killed.

But telling a story of awarding Uncle Frank with the Purple Heart years after the elder Biden would have died is either a bad lie to gain political favor, or it suggests the leader of the free world can’t keep his facts straight.

Either or both will hurt his chances in 2024.

end quotes

With respect to Joe Biden’s lying in connection with his unhealthy obsession with people’s sexual orientation, where in his June 10, 2023 Remarks by President Biden and First Lady Jill Biden at Pride Celebration, we had Joe saying “We all talk about courage, well, I see more courage on this lawn than I’ve seen in any time in the recent past,” the subject first came up in an article titled “Biden Under Fire for Claiming People Are ‘Thrown Out of a Restaurant for Being Gay'” by A Dime Saved on 10 March 2023, where we had as follows, to wit:

At the celebration of the passing of The Respect for Marriage Act, Biden implied in a speech that Americans being kicked out of restaurants for being gay is a normal occurrence in 2022.

His comments have led to questions and criticism on social media.

The Respect for Marriage Act passed both chambers of Congress with bipartisan support.

At the event, Biden made the comment, “When a person can be married in the morning and thrown out of a restaurant for being gay in the afternoon, this is still wrong.”

He quickly drew criticism from Twitter users, who claim that people are not, in fact, kicked out of restaurants for being gay.

end quotes

And not to be deterred, in his June 10, 2023 Remarks by President Biden and First Lady Jill Biden at Pride Celebration, we had Joe repeating the same exact lie word for word, to wit:

But for all the progress we’ve made, we know — we know a real change and real challenges still remain.

When a person can be married in the morning and thrown out of a restaurant for being gay in the afternoon, something is still very wrong in America.

(Applause.)

end quotes

What is very wrong in America is that we are stuck with a senile chief executive, which takes us to a caregiver article from Home Care Assistance of Jefferson County titled “Signs of Dementia, Why Some Dementia Patients Lie” by Darlene Ortiz on July 6, 2015, where we learn more about Joe’s declining mental condition that causes him to tell such outrageous lies, to wit:

Lying is a normal symptom of dementia, and it happens for many reasons.

Most of the time, lying is merely a symptom of the disease and not intentional deception.

Lying, or untruths, may occur at any stage of dementia, but this symptom generally is more common among seniors with mid- to late-stage dementia and can worsen as the disease progresses.

end quotes

So there we have some important background, which in turn takes us to this which is very specific to Joe Biden today, to wit:

Confabulation

Seniors living with dementia are aware their memory is slipping away, and this leads to a great deal of confusion and turmoil.

Many times, lying is just an unconscious defense mechanism called confabulation, which means your loved one is unconsciously replacing his or her lost memories with false ones.

This happens because our brains constantly try to make sense of what is happening around us, and when memories become lost, the brain maintains sense of what’s going on by filling in missing moments with alternatives.

end quotes

And that describes Joe Biden to a tee, which raises the serious question of when is Joe Biden going to be removed from office on 25th Amendment grounds, which then takes us to this, to wit:

Anxiety And Paranoia

Seniors with dementia often have diminished short-term memory capacity.

It’s also possible for seniors with dementia to tell outright lies, such as saying they need to go to a meeting with the president or lying about their former employment, when they feel embarrassed, scared, or they become aware they are doing things that aren’t quite right.

Telling these untruths is often a way of preserving their dignity and trying to fit into the situation.

When your loved one is telling a lie or accusing a family member of wrongdoing, remember it’s a symptom of the disease.

end quotes

All well and good, people, and let’s face it – we here in America are indeed a compassionate people, and I don’t for a minute think or believe that any of us hold Joe’s dementia and diminished mental capacity against him as a fellow human being, but that isn’t the issue, how we feel about Joe Biden as a person in a state of cognitive decline.

The issue, and it is indeed a serious one, is how we as a people concerned about our future as a nation feel about being saddled with a man with serious sexual obsessions which border on perversions who can’t tell the truth to save his life as the chief executive of this nation and its military’s commander-in-chief.

Time to fight Offshore Wind Projects

Reader submitted content.

(AP) by Wayne Parry, Associated Press Ocean City, N.J

Opponents of offshore wind energy projects in New Jersey are gathering force legally and politically as they seek to snuff out the nascent industry.

Within the last week, three residents groups sued New Jersey over a key approval of its first planned wind farm; the research arm of Congress agreed to investigate the impact of offshore wind on the environment and other areas; and lawmakers in two counties most heavily impacted by wind farms stepped up their efforts to block the projects. Save Long Beach Island, Defend Brigantine Beach, and Protect Our Coast NJ filed an appeal Friday in state Superior Court of New Jersey’s determination that the Ocean Wind I project is consistent with state coastal management rules.

The project is New Jersey’s first, and a U.S. subsidiary of Danish wind developer Orsted could begin construction this year if remaining approvals are obtained.

The appeal follows a decision by the investigative arm of Congress, the Congressional Accountability Office, to study the impact of offshore wind on the environment and other areas — something opponents have long wanted.

Bruce Afran, an attorney for the groups, said the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection “has acknowledged the wind turbines will destroy marine habitat, compress the seafl oor, severely damage marine communities, compromise migration corridors for endangered marine mammals, cause commercial fishing stocks to decline, and injure the beach economy.”

“Yet, the state persists in the bizarre belief that this massive engineering project will not injure our state’s coastal zone, one of the most important marine communities on the East Coast and the core of New Jersey’s $47 billion tourist industry,” Mr. Afran added.

The DEP declined to comment, and state attorney general’s office did not respond to requests for comment.

Jeanne Fox, former head of the DEP, the state Board of Public Utilities and former regional head of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, called the lawsuit “a delay tactic.”

“Numerous environmental studies have been done regarding offshore wind, for this specific Ocean Wind project and in general,” Ms. Fox said. “The greatest threat to the ocean habitat, sea mammals and fish is the climate crisis. Offshore wind will lessen the need to burn more fossil fuels.”

The project would build 98 wind turbines about 15 miles off the coast of Ocean City and Atlantic City. It is the first of three offshore wind projects to receive approval in New Jersey so far, with several more expected in years to come.

Mr. Afran cited numerous sections of the DEP’s April decision on Ocean Wind I acknowledging potential negative impacts on the surf clam industry; changes to the ocean floor from wind turbine foundations and equipment; and the regular use of the area as a migratory channel by five species of whales, including the critically endangered North Atlantic right whale.

Paul Plante, NYSPE says:

CCM: “Numerous environmental studies have been done regarding offshore wind, for this specific Ocean Wind project and in general,” Ms. Fox said.

“The greatest threat to the ocean habitat, sea mammals and fish is the climate crisis.”

“Offshore wind will lessen the need to burn more fossil fuels.”

*********************************

All of which is pure UNSCIENTIFIC BULL**** which begins with a flawed and unproven, unprovable and quite hysterical premise that there is in fact a CLIMATE CRISIS!

THE SKY IS GOING TO FALL, PEOPLE, THEREFORE IT IS FALLING, IT’S GOING TO KILL US ALL UNLESS WE THROW TRILLIONS OF DOLLARS AT IT, AND IN THE MEANTIME, BE SCARED AND RUN LIKE HELL FOR THE NEAREST SHELTER!

Where is the PROOF of a climate crisis?

There is NONE!

It is a hysterical speculation!

Is the climate changing?

Of course, because it is always changing.

Are windmills going to stop the climate from changing?

Not at all, and in fact, by disrupting air flow, they will exacerbate it.

But we are dealing with LAWYER’s GAMES here, people, not “science,” which today is a mockable word worthy of nothing but contempt, because it has become synonymous with STUPID.

And what the lawyer’s are doing is starting from the unproven premise that there is a CLIMATE CRISIS, and then when they do their supposed environmental impact statements, and this can all be independently verified by going to the Bureau of Ocean Management (BOEM) website https://www.boem.gov/renewable-energy/n ... ble-energy , they arrange the supposed “facts” to support the pre-determined conclusion that these wind farms are good for the environment, to wit:

* Environmental Assessments in Support of Leasing

* Environmental Impact Statements in Support of Project Approvals

And that, people, is a clear PERVERSION of the true purpose of doing an actual, independent, scientific environmental impact analysis, because you don’t do environmental impact studies to support what you have already decided to do, as is the case here.

You do a proper environmental impact assessment of WHAT YOU PROPOSE!

But that is all gone down the toilet and out the drain now.

Paul Plante, NYSPE says:

CCM: Jeanne Fox, former head of the DEP, the state Board of Public Utilities and former regional head of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, called the lawsuit “a delay tactic.”

* * * * *

So who then is this Jeanne Fox who is telling us that “The greatest threat to the ocean habitat, sea mammals and fish is the climate crisis,” and “Offshore wind will lessen the need to burn more fossil fuels,” other than just another political hack, because only politically-reliable political hacks get those kinds of positions in the first place, and why would anyone in their right mind then believe a word she says, about anything, but specifically about off-shore windmill farms?

Other than being politically reliable, what particular expertise does she possess that would make her any kind of expert on the subject?

For example, if we go to her all-important Linked in page, which is where important people like Jeanne Fox let the candid world know just how incredible and important they are, what we find for her is as follows, to wit: Climate Crisis fighter, Adjunct Professor, Feminist, Public Servant.

And there we have it, people, for that is it.

And that in turn brings us to a Daily Caller article titled “Massive Energy Corporation Says Up To 30% Of Its Wind Turbines Could Be Malfunctioning” by Will Kessler on 23 June 2023, where we have a dose of the reality that eludes “Climate Crisis fighter” Jeanne Fox, to wit:

Siemens Energy announced Thursday that it will be undergoing a technical review after it was found that up to 30% of its wind turbines could have faulty components, according to statements made by the company.

Siemens Energy, an international energy company that seeks to “decarbonize global energy systems,” announced that it is withdrawing its profit guidance for the year after subsidiary Siemens Gamesa found that there was a “substantial increase in failure rates of wind turbine components.”

The company believes that between 15% and 30% of its installed fleets are suffering from component failures, Jochen Eickholt, CEO of Siemens Gamesa, said during a Friday morning analyst call.

“The fact that we have identified more quality problems marks a significant setback for us.”

“These quality problems go beyond what we were previously aware of, and they are directly linked to selective components at a few but important suppliers,” Christian Bruch, President and CEO of Siemens Energy, said during the call.

“At this point in time, we believe that the costs are likely to be in excess of 1 billion euros.”

Siemens Energy stock fell 36% as of Friday morning after the announcement, according to MarketWatch.

The use of wind energy has received criticism as operations grow in size, incurring more maintenance costs and environmental concerns.

Newer, larger turbines designed to generate enough power to fuel renewable energy desires suffer from a greater rate of component failure, resulting in higher maintenance costs, according to The Wall Street Journal.

Some environmentalists also claim that wind farms harm animals, including birds, through habitat destruction and obstructing air travel.

So, people, ask yourself this important question here – who do we believe?

Should we take the word of self-professed and self-acclaimed “Climate Crisis fighter” Jeanne Fox who is parroting the Biden line, here, telling us “Offshore wind will lessen the need to burn more fossil fuels?”

Or should we perhaps go with reality as it exists, instead?

Paul R. Plante says:

If any rational person in America concerned about the future of this nation and the direction Joe Biden is taking it in, which is down, not forward, were to ask Siri the important question of “do people with dementia live in an alternate reality,” an answer they would get back from Home Matters Caregiving, for example, in the article titled “How to Manage Dementia Confusion and Alternate Realities” would be as follows, to wit:

Dementia confusion can lead to a senior experiencing an alternate reality, something that can be extremely challenging for family members.

end quote

And having lived long enough now to have had the opportunity to observe people sinking further and further into dementia, I can attest to the truthfulness of that statement.

In that article, Home Matters Caregiving then raises this very important question facing all of us in this country as its chief executive and the commander-in-chief of its military sinks further and further into his own demented unreality, to wit:

Is It Okay to Play Along?

Providing the scenario is not going to be dangerous or improper, it is perfectly fine to go along with the senior’s alternate reality.

Doing this isn’t going to make the dementia worse.

Bear in mind, the person’s reality is genuine to him/her and playing along can make your loved one feel more comfortable.

end quotes

All well and good if one is talking about one’s family members, but my goodness, people, we aren’t talking about a family member here – we are talking about Joe Biden as president of the United States of America in a time of severe trials for the nation, which Joe, in his demented state is making worse by purposefully dividing us into his “friends,” and his “enemies,” which is about ninety percent of us, as the paranoia component of Joe’s dementia gains ascendency in the alternate reality Joe spends more and more of his time in, and for a vivid example, let us go back to June 10, 2023 and Remarks by President Biden and First Lady Jill Biden at Pride Celebration, we had Joe saying as follows, to wit:

THE PRESIDENT: Well, thank you.

In all of you — and this is not hyperbole — in all of you what I see is courage.

I mean it sincerely from the bottom of my — I see courage. Courage.

And those who were in the generation before you who stepped up, it’s even more courage.

They worried not only for their lives, they worried for their jobs.

They worried for whether or not they could even be in- — involved at all in the community.

Imagine what it took 40 years ago to stand up and say, “I’m gay.”

What would have happened?

(Applause.)

No, I mean, people who had to fear for their lives just acknowledging it — just acknowledging it.

end quotes

And speaking as someone almost as old as Joe, who was alive forty years ago, which would be 1983, I can attest that many people in the “community” were openly gay, or queer, as they identified themselves, and nobody was trying to kill them or harm them.

I worked alongside people who were gay, or queer, and so what?

So who is Joe talking about there, then?

And I firmly believe that Joe is simply playing to his audience as he does by telling them the lies he believes they either want or need to hear, as was the case at Joe’s “GAY FEST” on the south lawn of the white house on June 10, 2023, where Joe, in one of his evangelistic (zealously advocating a particular cause; campaigning) rants, with arms flailing about in the air, went on as follows to what are his chosen people, his “friends,” the less than ten percent of the population of America who are the LGBTQIA2+ community, as follows:

But the thing about y’all is: You not only are about courage.

You generate so much hope for people.

Hope and light.

As I said — I mean this; I swear to God — you’re some of the most — you’re some of the bravest and most inspiring people I’ve ever known.

And I’ve known a lot of good folks.

You set an example for the nation and, quite frankly, for the world.

You know, we all move forward when we move together with your joy, with your pride lighting the way.

end quotes

And since pictures are worth thousands of words, and since in a democratic society, EVERYONE should be free to form their own opinion without fear of retaliation from Joe Biden, to see who Joe is talking to on June 10, 2023, on the south lawn of the white house, and to see what Joe considers an “example” of leadership to the rest of us in the nation, the ninety+ percent who are Joe’s “enemies,” simply click on this link to a Fox News story titled “NYC drag marchers chant ‘We’re coming for your children’ during pride event” by Anders Hagstrom on 25 June 2023, to wit:

Paul Plante, NYSPE says:

And what an arrogant title that is that this Jeanne Fox claims for herself as a “climate crisis fighter,” which makes one wonder what she has armed herself with to fight the climate crisis, whether an AR-15 modified to fire on full automatic, or “rock and roll” as we VEET NAM grunts termed it, or is she armed with something more lethal like a Stinger missile.

But my goodness, enough about her, since this is about windmills, as opposed to how a real “climate crisis fighter” like Jeanne Fox actually goes about fighting the so-called “climate crisis,” and that brings us back to the real world the majority of us who are not “climate crisis fighters” like Jeanne Fox live in, which takes us to an article from the Brit publication The Telegraph titled “Britain’s green energy disaster should be an awful warning to Americans” by Capell Aris on 11 June 2023, where we have as follows on the subject of windmills, to wit:

Last year, the Biden administration set an ambitious new goal for the USA: to deploy 30 gigawatts (GW) of offshore wind capacity by the year 2030, increasing US offshore capacity more than seven hundred times over.

end quote

And as we who live in the real world, as opposed to the fantasy world Joe Biden and his windmill crowd spend their time in, know, that should be the clueless, short-sighted, shallow-thinking Biden administration has set an ambitious new goal for the USA: to deploy 30 gigawatts (GW) of offshore wind capacity by the year 2030, increasing US offshore capacity more than seven hundred times over, which takes us back to the reality “climate crisis fighters” like Jeanne Fox are totally unaware of in their delusionl state, to wit:

The UK already has 15 GW of offshore wind, more than 300 times as much as the USA: and our experience should be a terrible warning to Americans.

end quote

But it won’t be, because we are stupid and we are terrified that unless Joe Biden can save us with all his windmills, we are going to die in twelve or less years from global warming, which is going to kill us, sure as anything, if we don’t die of something else beforehand, like getting burned to death in an exploding E-car, which again takes us back to the story, to wit:

The UK’s electricity prices are the highest since records began in 1920 and are now amongst the highest in all Europe.

One reason for this is obvious: slightly less than half our electricity comes from gas-burning Combined Cycle Gas Turbines (CCGTs) and gas now costs £90 per megawatt-hour (MWh), nearly five times higher than normal.

In normal times they would generate electricity at a total cost of £40 per MWh.

That’s now risen to nearly £150/MWh, thanks to Vladimir Putin and his impact on the gas market.

But that’s not the whole story.

The other reason why British electricity is so expensive is because we have so much wind power: particularly, so much offshore wind power.

Bad though the current situation is, we would be an even worse state if we had built even more offshore wind, as the British government plans to.

As an example, the offshore wind farms Hornsea Two and Moray East were completed in 2022 with capital costs of £2.77 billion per GW and £2.75bn/GW, more than four times the cost of CCGT capacity.

They’re expensive to maintain, which is not surprising since offshore windfarms have all their many generators mounted at the top of 200-metre tall masts far away from land.

Estimates of maintenance costs are as high as £200m per GW installed, per annum.

The nominal cost of offshore wind generation is £170/MWh – noticeably higher than that for CCGTs, even in these dire times of high gas prices.

The other factor to bear in mind is that not only is wind capacity extremely expensive to build, wind farms do not deliver anything like their rated capacity over time.

This is bad news for the customer, because the higher the capacity factor – that is, the higher the percentage of the rated capacity the powerplant actually delivers over time – the cheaper the energy.

In 2022 the UK’s onshore and offshore windfarms operated with a capacity factor of 33 per cent.

In 2021 it was only 29 per cent.

It gets worse.

Like most other renewable generation technologies, wind power is unpredictably intermittent and highly variable.

Also, since wind turbines are not synchronously connected to the grid, they provide no “grid inertia” – more on that shortly.

Wind turbines cannot be asked to deliver energy when it is required, and their output changes rapidly.

These failings must be mitigated and costed, and users have to pay for these costs on top of the price of the electricity.

In 2021 the UK annual grid balancing costs reached £4.19 billion, £150 per household.

For context, back in 1995 when we didn’t have much wind power the balancing cost for the grid was a mere £250 million per annum.

A large, and growing, contribution to these costs is constraint management, as when a wind farm producing electricity which isn’t wanted – perhaps when it is windy in the middle of the night – is paid not to put that electricity into the grid.

The problems and costs don’t stop there.

Our transmission grid system was originally designed to link generation centres close to sources of fuel (coal, gas) and load centres such as cities.

Now our generation sites are moving further away from load centres.

Our grid transmission system has to be expanded to connect the new renewable generators, which is bad enough when they are on a remote hilltop and worse still when they are out at sea.

The National Grid estimates that on current plans this work will cost £46 billion – £1,533 per household – to 2030.

Then there’s grid inertia.

The British grid is termed an island grid, which means that we are solely responsible for controlling the grid frequency between tight limits so that things plugged into the grid will work as expected.

Frequency control becomes easier as the inertia of the grid system increases.

Grid system inertia is a key measure of how resilient the system is in response to transient changes.

Inertia is the sum of the energy stored within the rotating mass of the machines (generators and motors) connected directly to the system.

Low system inertia increases the risk of rapid system changes, which may then lead to disconnection of load or generation and then system instability.

Apart from tree-burning biomass stations and hydro generation, renewables plants bring no inertia to the grid: as the proportion of renewables rises, system inertia falls and the risk of major problems such as blackouts increases.

We have attempted to reduce the issue of intermittency by expanding our connections to the European electricity grid – the hope being that the wind will be blowing somewhere else even if it is not blowing here – but we’re still exposed to periods when wind generation across the whole of Europe falls near to nothing.

And these connections do not help with inertia and stability either because few of the connections to the continent are synchronous connections.

In 1995 the problem of grid frequency stability required provision of rapidly responding generators capable of changing their combined output at a rate of 0.13 GW per second in order to deal with fluctuations.

With the arrival of so much unpredictable wind power, that figure has now increased almost tenfold to 1.15 GW per second!

Extra services like very rapid response gas generators, required in order to make it possible to connect renewables to the grid, add between £30/MWh and £50/MWh to renewables’ cost.

Thus the true cost to the customer of offshore wind generators is actually between £200/MWh and £220/MWh, much more than CCGTs even in these times of ruinously high gas prices.

Phasing out CCGT production will therefore increase domestic electricity prices painfully.

But it seems that CCGTs will be phased out much sooner than planned.

The government has proposed an expansion to 60 GW of offshore wind by 2030 (capital expenditure £122 billion) and solar to 70 GW by 2035 (capital expenditure to 2030 £30 billion).

This is extremely unwise: we still have no way of storing electricity at scale and the planned transitions of home heating and transport to electrical power are progressing weakly and may yet stall completely.

Creating such a large solar generation fleet raises the nightmare scenario of early summer mornings, with little demand and the vast majority of generation being solar with zero inertia: massive grid collapses would be all but a certainty.

Vast amounts of energy will be generated only to be expensively constrained off and probably wasted, and the scenario of unmet demand – with attendant blackouts – will become unavoidable.

The UK grid is simply not able to cope with the proposed amounts of renewables.

And we simply cannot afford all this.

If we add the costs of an even more extended National Grid, this programme of wind and solar generation expansion will cost £232 billion – more than £8,000 per household this decade – all to be paid for by the suffering energy user.

It should be emphasised that these figures do not include the costs of the huge energy storage industry which will also be necessary, whatever that may turn out to be: hydrogen or ammonia or something even more dangerous and expensive.

Heat pumps and switching to electric vehicles could lift total costs above £1 trillion.

Truly, Americans should look at the British renewables disaster and give thanks that today they have hardly any offshore wind.

And they might, looking at the UK, recoil with horror from the plans of the Biden administration: especially as most US offshore wind will need to be floating offshore wind rather than built on the seabed, and so even more expensive.

Paul R. Plante says:

And while we are on the subject of Joe Biden playing to his audience at his south lawn pride festival by telling them the lies he believes they either want or need to hear, the 1945 site had a relevant article titled “Joe Biden Has One Big Problem: He Is a Total Liar” by Peter Suciu on 28 June 2023, wherein was stated as follows regarding Joe Biden as a serial liar who can’t be believed about anything, to wit:

Throughout his political career, Joe Biden has told so many lies and made so many questionable claims that it is simply impossible to accept his direct answer to a reporter’s question.

In an op-ed, The Los Angeles Daily News even suggested “Joseph Biden has been a notorious fabulist, which is to say, a well-documented liar even by the standard of fellow politicians.”

end quotes

And that LA Daily News op-ed says all we need to know about anything and everything Joe Biden says, including gay folks getting tossed out of restaurants for being gay, when many of the wait staff themselves are gay – it is a lie, as only Joe Biden can tell lies.

In fact, and this is public information you would think Joe Biden would be the first to know, given he is the self-proclaimed champion of the gay folk and the trans folk, the Human Rights Campaign, which rates corporations on how equitable their polices and benefits are for LGBTQ+ employees, gave Starbucks, a restaurant, a perfect score for 2022, along with more than 800 other companies.

So if you like living in a country with a serial liar as your chief executive and “leader,” and if you are a Democrat, then most likely you do, your choice is clear – vote Biden/Harris 2024!

As for me, however, I can’t stand liars, especially when they are US presidents, so I will take a pass!
