And that was something about the 66th running of the Daytona 500, wasn't it?

With just eight laps to go and the racing as intense as it’s been all night, Alex Bowman got a big run on his teammate, William Byron, sending him into the No. 6 Ford of Brad Keselowski, who shot up the track and into Joey Logano, collecting a host of cars behind them so that within seconds, the infield area in Turns 3 and 4 looked like a parking lot, so that in total, 22 cars were involved in the Lap 192 wreck, including Logano, Denny Hamlin, Ryan Blaney, Brad Keselowski, Martin Truex Jr., Chris Buescher and reigning Daytona 500 champion Ricky Stenhouse Jr.

Not every day you see something like that!

Whether Taylor Swift was in the stands or not when it happened is as of yet unknown.

I don't!

I read about it, then watched it happen on YouTube:

A real good overhead shot of it all going down, and let's face it, jeffmoskin, it is a good crash rather than a good race that draws in the fans ...

I recorded the Indy 500 last year so I could fast forward through all the dull (non crash) parts.

Which was all but the last lap.

I was amazed that nobody got killed. Including the people in the stand where a wheel from one of the crashed cars landed.

Yes, it is amazing that people can survive those crashes, but those cars are well engineered for driver safety ...

I do remember however from some time back when they were burning pure alcohol that a driver was on fire, but you couldn't see the flames because of how alcohol burns ...
