FOX NEWS

"ABC News asks Kamala Harris how much 'race and gender' contribute to her dismal polling"

Story by Joseph Wulfsohn

31 JULY 2023

ABC News suggested in a question about Vice President Kamala Harris' historically low polling that "race and gender" could be a driving factor in her unpopularity.

Towards the end of a pre-taped interview that aired on ABC's streaming platform on Monday, ABC News' Linsey Davis brought up reports that have determined she has "the lowest approval rating of any vice president."

"I'm curious - how much of a role, if any, that you feel race and gender play in that?" Davis asked.

"Well, there are polls that also say I have great approval ratings," Harris attempted to push back.

"I think the point that has to be made is that there are attempts to create distractions away from the accomplishments of our administration."

"We've created over 13 million jobs since we've been in office."

"Joe Biden and I have been responsible for 800,000 new manufacturing jobs in the United States, not to mention what we have done to restore America's integrity on the international stage," the VP continued.

A recent Fox News poll released in June showed Harris having a 41% approval rating and a whopping 56% disapproval among voters.

Harris has been in the news in recent weeks for her attacks on Florida's Black history education curriculum, making a special trip to Jacksonville, Fla., to say it replaces "history with lies" and that students in the Sunshine State would be "told that enslaved people benefited from slavery."

In reality, the thorough curriculum details harsh conditions slaves endured and also explains that "slaves developed skills which, in some instances, could be applied for their personal benefit" both while enslaved and when they became free.

Dr. William Allen, a descendent of slavery who helped author the curriculum in question, has said Harris’ "lie" was quickly parroted by an agenda-driven media.

"I wish I could answer for the motives of the media or for the vice president."

"I'm not able to do that."

"But I can tell you this contextually -- it is obviously part of a larger effort driven by an agenda," Allen told Fox News Digital.

"The reason I call the vice president's statements categorically false is because it is obvious to anyone of basic literacy that the mere grammar of the sentence in the curriculum standards to which she referred refutes her charge," Allen said.

Fox News' Brian Flood contributed to this report.

OK! Magazine

"VP Kamala Harris Roasted for Boasting About Her 'Great Approval Ratings': 'No Such Polls'"

Story by Jaclyn Roth

2 AUGUST 2023

Vice President Kamala Harris was slammed for saying she has "great approval ratings" during an interview with ABC News' Linsey Davis.

Davis brought up a prior NBC poll that found only 32 percent of registered voters have a positive view of Harris, compared to 49 percent with aa negative view, including 39 percent with "a very negative view."

As a result, Harris was left with a net -17 rating, which NBC News said is the "lowest of any vice president in the poll's history."

"How much of a role, if any, that you feel that race and gender play in that?" Davis asked in the chat.

Harris replied, "Well, there are polls that also say I have great approval ratings."

Of course, Harris, 58, was ripped apart for her response.

"There are literally no such polls," one person wrote, while another said, "Name one."

"There are literally zero polls showing Kamala Harris with ‘great approval ratings,’" one person stated, while a fourth person joked, "Now we can all laugh at her the way she laughs."

As OK! previously reported, Harris got roasted for dodging the question, with former White House Deputy Chief of Staff Karl Rove calling her out for not taking responsibility for her actions.

"When you have a problem, it's better to acknowledge it," he said.

"If she had said, 'Look, I realize the numbers aren't where I want them to be and that just means ... I need to work harder at communicating the message of what we've done in this administration.'"

"Instead, it's like, let me just take the reality that you're understanding in your own, personal view of my American politics, and tell you you're wrong."

"It's not a good way to respond," he concluded.

One of the people who came to Harris' defense was actress Yvette Nicole Brown.

"She can’t win, and I think those of us in the culture should understand."

"We know she can’t win."

"So we — out of everyone — should be kinder to her as she threads this very difficult needle," she shared.

The Washington Examiner

"When challenged on her lies, Kamala Harris slinks away"

Opinion by Washington Examiner

5 AUGUST 2023

We already knew Vice President Kamala Harris is a cheap-shot artist.

Now we also know she’s a coward.

She is a coward because she refuses to debate an issue that she herself, quite dishonestly, turned into a national line of attack.

It was Harris more than anyone else who catalyzed the most recent national media frenzy against Gov. Ron DeSantis (R-FL), alleging that educational standards he implemented in Florida taught that “enslaved people benefited from slavery.”

We have shown multiple times in these pages that the claim is a malicious lie.

Harris and her mendacious chorus took a single sentence completely out of context.

The sentence not only doesn’t say what they claim it does, but it is remarkably similar to sentences used in documents from sources of which the Left itself approves, such as the Library of Congress, the National Park Service, the National Humanities Center — and, we now know, the very Advanced Placement standards for African American history that the Left has spent months insisting should be used in Florida.

In context, there is no way anyone could honestly claim that the Florida standards are in any way meant to suggest that slavery had an even mildly sunny side.

Instead, the standards repeatedly emphasize the awful legacy of “slavery, racial oppression, racial segregation, and racial discrimination.”

That is as to be expected, considering that the parts of the standards at issue were adopted by a panel led by black scholars about whom it makes zero sense to make the accusation that they somehow believe slavery was beneficial.

And when black scholars write standards for black history and explain exactly why they chose the language they did, with both the language itself and their explanation directly rejecting the false interpretation Harris assigned to them, it takes outrageous gall for Harris to insist they meant the very opposite of what they said.

Either way, if Harris really believes the claptrap she continues to spew about the standards created by DeSantis’s committee, she should have the decency and gumption to make her case when challenged on it.

DeSantis, who can show by overwhelming evidence that the standards neither say nor mean what Harris claims they do, challenged Harris to a debate on the topic.

Knowing she has no honest case, Harris instead scurried into hiding while saying she would not debate the topic of slavery with DeSantis or anyone else.

But DeSantis didn’t say slavery was debatable.

He said his state’s curriculum was debatable because Harris herself had smeared it.

Now we, unlike Harris, can be fair by acknowledging there are shards of arguments Harris might justifiably make.

If she wants to argue that one or two of DeSantis’s committee appointees may not have been superlative, that’s fine.

If she wants to question the accuracy of some of the board members’ scholarship, that’s fine.

If she even wants to argue, through otherwise tendentious ideological lenses, that “there’s a lot missing” from the standards that should be there, well, have at it.

Those three arguments at least have peripheral bearing on the worthiness of the standards.

Harris, though, won’t even do that.

To make those arguments one-on-one with DeSantis would just expose how tangential they are to the main subject, which is her demonstrably dishonest claim that the standards and the curriculum somehow make excuses for slavery.

By refusing to debate, Harris essentially acknowledges that her attack was a form of political drive-by shooting, not a serious or rational engagement in philosophical combat.

Harris committed calumny against DeSantis here, with no regard for truth.

Her attacks were catnip for the liberal media but entirely meretricious.

With this shameful combination of prevarication and pusillanimity, she confirms her reputation as a political figure worthy only of disdain.

"Kamala Harris Begs Audience To Clap During Congress Heights Speech"

Story by Troy Smith

6 AUGUST 2023

Vice President Kamala Harris delivered a speech in the Congress Heights neighborhood of Washington D.C. yesterday.

During President Joe Biden’s extensive 10-day Delaware vacation, Harris has been sure to seize every opportunity to appear in public.

Harris traveled to Wisconsin this week.

She also welcomed the Mongolian Prime Minister to the White House earlier in the week.

During her speech in D.C. yesterday, Harris embarrassed herself.

She begged the audience to clap for certain parts of her speech.

Harris can be quoted as telling the crowd, “Yeah, go ahead and clap!”

Harris then cackled.

Begging the audience to clap conjures the image of fledgling candidate Jeb Bush begging for his audience to clap during his 2016 Presidential run.

You could even say that Harris ‘pulled a Jeb’ during her speech!

Harris added another embarrassing moment during her speech, explaining to the audience that a community bank is ‘in the community’.

Embarrassment!

"White House Scrambles to Fix Kamala Harris’ Embarrassing Mistake"

Story by Taylor Gold

8 AUGUST 2023

The incompetence of Joe Biden and Kamala Harris has resulted in more “word salads” than any other administration in recent memory.

When they lie or commit gaffes, a surge in fact-check articles hopelessly attempts to explain what Biden and Harris “meant to say.”

While speaking about the federal government’s left-wing activism to fight “climate change,” Harris mistakenly said she is working to “reduce population” instead of “reduce pollution.”

The embarrassing mistake caught everyone’s attention as the video quickly went viral on social media.

In a scramble, the White House conveniently adjusted its official transcripts.

It reads: “When we invest in clean energy and electric vehicles and reduce population [pollution], more of our children can breathe clean air and drink clean water.”

Harris seems to be unable to do anything right.

Her time in office has been plagued by low approval ratings and damaging accusations from former staffers.

CNN interviewed nearly three dozen current and former staffers for Harris, administration officials, donors, advisers, and Democratic Party operatives.

One former staffer described Harris as “toxic” who treated her team “like s***.”

Another former staffer described Harris as a “bully” with a “soul-destroying” management style, according to Politico and CNN.

In June 2023, an NBC News poll found Harris has received the lowest approval rating for any vice president in U.S. history.

The poll surveyed 1,000 registered voters.

Harris critics argue she is unpopular, inexperienced, gaffe-prone, and divisive.

In 2019, she appeared to be unable to name the three branches of government during a Democratic primary debate.

In 2021, she claimed Joe Biden was running for Senate in 2020.

In 2022, she said that she was “proud” of her record as a prosecutor despite the fact that she has been widely criticized for her handling of criminal cases.

Finally, in 2023, she has failed to properly address the immigration crisis at the U.S. southern border despite President Biden tasking her with the job.

According to an Economist/YouGov poll, a staggering 55% of registered voters have an unfavorable view of Harris.

Similarly, an Ipsos/Reuters poll found that 55% of registered voters have an unfavorable view of Harris.

"VP Kamala Harris: Her Biggest Problem Boils Down To One Word"

Story by Brent M. Eastwood

The polls – they should have Kamala Harris worried: Months back, polls were flashing warning signs Kamala Harris was in trouble.

They have not gotten any better.

Kamala Harris Needs to Worry

Months ago, Kamala Harris took a new hit in polling, and her current dip in approval is surprisingly coming from Democrats.

Sadly, nothing is any better.

The vice president support from her own party is eroding.

A few months back, a poll showed only 73 percent of Democrats think she is doing a good job.

This is down from a similar poll from Fox News taken in January when 77 percent of Democrats approved of her performance.

Overall, the vice president scored a 43 percent approval from all voters.

And her bad polling remains today.

The Fox News survey found that Harris only received decent marks from 36 percent of Independents.

That number is actually up from the 30 percent rating she garnered from centrist voters at the first of the year.

Her approval has also improved from January among Republicans who approve of her at a 15 percent rate compared to only 8 percent in January.

But Support Is Dropping With Voters In Her Own Party

District Media Group President Beverly Hallberg said she is not surprised that Harris has slipped among Democrats.

“I guess what’s surprising is she is so bad at communicating and can’t point to anything as being successful as vice president,” Hallberg explained.

Despite her polling difficulty among members of her own party, President Joe Biden is sticking with her and is still extolling her virtues.

“Look, I just think that Vice President Harris hasn’t gotten the credit she deserves,” Biden told MSNBC.

“She was an attorney general of the state of California."

"She has been a United States senator, she is really very, very good."

"And with everything going on, she hasn’t gotten the attention she deserves.”

Harris’ bio is indeed impressive and inspiring.

However, the honeymoon is over as she has been in office over two years and is still struggling during her tenure.

In polling aggregator FiveThirtyEight’s daily tracking numbers, Harris is below 40 percent, coming in at a 39.7 percent average.

Her disapproval rating is 52.3 percent as of today.

Ready to Run Again?

Kamala Harris was featured prominently in the Biden re-election video, but she had no audible words in the footage.

Harris has struggled mightily to find her footing in various speeches and talks to voters.

She is also trying to find a clear role in the administration.

She received backlash when the president had her become the point person on the White House’s artificial intelligence strategy and action plan.

Twitter owner Elon Musk questioned Harris’ experience and ability to be the AI czar for the administration.

Musk said the AI leaders need not be a genius, “but maybe someone who can fix their own Wi-Fi router wouldn’t be too much to ask.”

Other critics of Harris’ AI appointment thought it would be better to have a council of experts who could serve in round table discussions led by the vice president.

But a More Important Group Must Remain Loyal to Harris

It’s surprising that some African-Americans have soured on the vice president.

Harris received only 69 percent approval from black voters in the Fox News poll.

This is down from her high in June 2021 of 82 percent approval among African-Americans.

She recently had a successful trip to Africa where she visited three countries on the continent to the approval of adoring fans.

In the 2020 presidential election, 95 percent of African-American women voted for Biden, while 87 percent of Black men voted for him, according to the Pew Research Center.

Keep Black Males Onboard

The Biden-Harris ticket must keep these voters satisfied so they can turnout in similar numbers in 2024.

Harris has tried in the past to meet with Black males to listen to their concerns about the direction of the country.

Harris has trumpeted the Biden administration’s efforts to make voting in federal elections easier and to protect voting rights for African-Americans.

But it has been high unemployment that has held Black males back.

During the Covid-19 pandemic the jobless rate for this group spiked as high as 16 percent compared to 11 percent for all Americans during the crisis.

Harris has time to turn her poll numbers around.

If she can remain consistently in the mid-40s for her approval rating, that would be the kind of improvement that the president is banking on.

But she needs to lock in support among African-Americans to keep that critical coalition together entering into campaign season.

So, the stakes are high for the vice president if she wants to keep her job.

"Kamala Harris Exposed Something Seriously Wrong With President Joe Biden"

Story by Harry Kazianis

9 AUGUST 2023

Kamala Harris could have ended Joe Biden’s political career had things gone a little differently: In this age of 24-hour news cycles and viral social media news coverage, we often forget about recent events that could have changed history.

And in U.S. domestic politics, we have, collectively as a society, a concise attention span or memory.

With this I present one fact that we nearly all forget: Joe Biden was always a long shot at winning the 2020 Democratic nomination.

I honestly thought he had zero chance, to be frank.

And, in fact, had things gone a different way, the Democrats would have had Bernie Sanders as the nominee taking on Donald Trump.

Remember, at one point, he was the front-runner.

Man, that would have been one heck of a fight.

But one person who might have been impacted by such a change in history is Kamala Harris.

If Biden had dropped out, she would have gone much deeper into the nomination process.

One could make the argument that Bernie Sanders would have picked her as his running mate thanks to a nearly forgotten moment in political history: she nearly ended Joe Biden’s political career.

Kamala Harris Was Ready for Biden

We forget, Kamala Harris set a trap for Joe Biden during the 2019 Democratic Primary debates that nearly ended his chances of moving forward.

And if Kamala had been more competent and hadn’t destroyed her own campaign, who knows how history would have unfolded?

As she said back then in June 2019, when she debated Joe Biden:

“So on the issue of race, I couldn’t agree more that this is an issue that is still not being talked about truthfully and honestly."

"I — there is not a black man I know, be he a relative, a friend or a co-worker, who has not been the subject of some form of profiling or discrimination."

"Growing up, my sister and I had to deal with the neighbor who told us her parents couldn’t play with us because she — because we were black."

"And I will say also that — that, in this campaign, we have also heard — and I’m going to now direct this at Vice President Biden, I do not believe you are a racist, and I agree with you when you commit yourself to the importance of finding common ground."

"But I also believe, and it’s personal — and I was actually very — it was hurtful to hear you talk about the reputations of two United States senators who built their reputations and career on the segregation of race in this country."

"And it was not only that, but you also worked with them to oppose busing."

"And, you know, there was a little girl in California who was part of the second class to integrate her public schools, and she was bussed to school every day."

"And that little girl was me.

"So I will tell you that, on this subject, it cannot be an intellectual debate among Democrats."

"We have to take it seriously."

"We have to act swiftly."

"As attorney general of California, I was very proud to put in place a requirement that all my special agents would wear body cameras and keep those cameras on.”

The “that little girl was me” remark could have ended Joe Biden’s political career.

But, and perhaps of greater importance, it showed that when focused, prepped, and ready for action Kamala Harris could deliver at the moment she needed to.

This makes me think that surrounded by the right staff, the right advisers, and the right and sustained focus Kamala Harris could be a political force.

But she needs to find that fire in the belly, if you will.

As one 2020 Kamala Harris staffer told me: “She has the ability to do great things."

"She just needs to stop blaming others for her own mistakes and shortcomings."

"If she worked hard, and made sure she was prepared and focused, she could someday be president."

"But she is the only one who can make herself great."

"No one can do it for her."

"I believe she can do anything – but can she get out of her own way?”

Well said.

"The Great Kamala Harris Scam America Is Falling For"

Story by Brandon Weichert

14 AUGUST 2023

Everyone should be tired of hearing about how bad of a public speaker Vice President Kamala Harris is.

Yet, we can’t seem to help but talk about how bad she is at talking.

The reason is that Harris is the gift that keeps on giving.

Just a few weeks after she made headlines for botching the definition of culture, or for her strange blathering while visiting with the leadership of Mongolia to discuss new space cooperation, Kamala Harris has stepped in it yet again.

This time, Vice President Harris offered an unsolicited definition of the term “passage of time”.

According to Harris, “the passage of time such great significance to the passage of time.”

Deep thoughts from our vice-president.

Listening to her speak about the passage of time, I began to think of Delmore Schwartz’s old poem that ends with, “Time is the fire in which we burn.”

In this case, I felt as though my skin was burning with each second that I had to endure another one of Kamala Harris’ infernos of ignorance.

Is Kamala Harris for Real?

One almost must wonder if Kamala Harris’ entire public persona is fake.

While she is overrated as a politician, Harris was never known as inarticulate until she became the vice president.

I’ve heard her speak in public while she was a senator.

I heard her on the campaign trail in 2020 during the Democratic Party’s primary that year.

She lost early in the race, but at no point did she offer the regular word salad with a side of delirium that Harris so routinely does as vice president.

Is she cracking up under the pressure?

Is Biden purposely trying to make her look bad?

Was the cocaine found in the White House over the July 4 holiday weekend really hers?

Whenever I hear Kamala Harris speak these days, these are the thoughts that swirl incessantly in my mind as she botches one phrase after another, tripping over herself with the bizarre, unwanted bursts of Bond villain-like cackles.

Kamala Harris: Making Mistakes on Purpose?

As I was sampling Harris’ recent verbal goulash, I started a new line of thought.

Perhaps this was all intentional.

After all, everything about the Biden Administration — from its rise to power to its reign of incompetence — has been a series of grotesque manipulations, lies, and obfuscations.

Think about it.

Kamala Harris is the daughter of two well-educated professional academicians.

She attended the prestigious Howard University (what many consider to be the equivalent of an Ivy League institute for Historically Black Colleges and Universities).

While there, Harris was a known for her academic rigor as a student and was widely respected.

Once out of school, she found herself living in California, where she climbed the political ladder (admittedly by having an affair with the married, well-connected San Francisco Democrat Mayor Willie Brown).

Harris rose to become the attorney general of the fifth-largest economy in the world, the state of California, and ultimately became a powerful senator from the Golden State.

Inevitably, as you know, she became the vice president.

And once Harris ascended to the second-most-powerful position in the federal government, she suddenly became a bumbling buffoon.

She lost her ability to speak well in public at the precise moment that President Joe Biden needed to distract voters from whatever scandals or problems his reign has caused.

Harris as a Distractor

Harris’ endless verbal gaffes have also helped to distract people away from Joe Biden’s own public displays of verbal incontinence and physical clumsiness.

By having a running-mate half his age who is as sloppy in public as the octogenarian Biden is, at least some of the attacks against Biden for his repeated verbal slips and falls in public are stunted.

After all, Biden can’t be that bad if the younger and supposedly more dynamic Harris is at least as messy in public as the forty-sixth president is.

How can Kamala Harris not know the definition of “culture” or the meaning of the phrase “the passage of time”?

Not only is she a well-educated public figure, but she has a team well-paid, professional speechwriters surrounding her and choreographing each of her public statements!

We’re to believe that, suddenly, her brain fell out the moment she placed her hand on the Bible and swore an oath to uphold and defend the US Constitution on the day she officially became the vice-president of the United States?

Something is rotten in Washington, D.C., and it’s not just the rampant corruption or Kamala Harris’ public speaking acumen.

Kamala Harris just might be tanking her public appearances on purpose to distract the American people from the real crisis that is Joe Biden’s presidency.

"Kamala Harris snaps at climate heckler during Massachusetts speech: ‘I’m speaking’"

Story by Gustaf Kilander

16 AUGUST 2023

Vice President Kamala Harris appeared to snap back as she was called out by an activist for the Biden administration’s lack of action on the climate crisis as the death toll from the Hawaii wildfires continues to rise.

Climate Defiance, which brands itself as a “Brand-new, youth-led group using direct action to resist fossil fuels”, on Monday night shared a video on X, the platform formerly known as Twitter, stating: “We profoundly disrupted a speech by United States Vice President Kamala Harris.”

“As we cried out about the tragic deaths in Hawaii and condemned her fossil fuel crimes, Kamala stood there and laughed."

"Horrendous."

"We deserve - and we need - actual climate leaders,” the group added.

Ms Harris was interrupted by two hecklers as she was addressing a crowd in the gymnasium of Martha’s Vineyard Regional High School on Saturday, according to the Vineyard Gazette.

She was in Massachusetts to attend two fundraisers as she gears up to run for re-election alongside President Joe Biden.

During the speech, she told about 400 supporters to fight for civil rights as she argued their opponents were working to pit Americans against each other.

After the event, Climate Defiance gathered outside the school holding a sign saying: “Kamala: Off Fossil Fuels.”

Those who attended the closed speech had to donate to the Biden Victory Fund to see Ms Harris speak, The Gazette noted.

Protestor Jay Waxse told the paper that he had travelled from Washington, DC and paid the minimum $50 to attend.

He added that other activists had come from all over the country.

Mr Waxse said the protest on Saturday was aimed at getting the administration to stop approving oil and gas projects on federal land.

“Biden positions himself as a climate president ... but it’s a front,” he told The Gazette.

The protester in the video shared by Climate Defiance shouted at Ms Harris that “We are in the middle of a climate emergency."

"Eighty people have died in Hawaii, Thousands have been displaced by the climate chaos."

"The planet is burning, and people are dying”.

“I’m speaking,” Ms Harris said while the advocate was taken away by security personnel, according to Newsweek.

“We were wondering if you would uphold your promises,” the protester said.

“You and Joe are failing on climate.”

The Independent has reached out to Climate Defiance for comment.

"‘The Whole Thing Is Weird’: Kamala Harris Speaks in ‘Rhyme’"

Story by Georgia Gilholy

26 AUGUST 2023

Trump Mocks Kamala Harris' Word Salad - In a recent interview with former Fox News host Tucker Carlson, former U.S. President Donald Trump took jabs at Vice President Kamala Harris, mocking her style of speech.

During the interview, Trump expressed doubts about Kamala Harris becoming the Democratic candidate in the next presidential election.

He quipped, "Well, not really."

"... She has some bad moments."

"Her moments are almost as bad as it is."

"I think his (Joe Biden) is worse, actually."

"Yeah."

"She speaks in rhyme."

"And, it's weird, but she has bad moments."

Trump imitated Harris's speech style, saying, "The way she talks, (mocking tone) the bus will go here and then the bus will go there because that's what buses do."

"And it's weird."

"The whole thing is weird."

"This is not a president of the United States future."

"And, I think they probably have some kind of a primary, and other people will get involved."

The video clip of Trump's comments quickly went viral on social media, drawing reactions from his supporters.

Word Salad for Kamala Harris

Harris’ prolonged explanations have become a popular subject of internet memes.

In July she sparked discussion after a drawn-out explanation of “culture”.

In a speech to the 2023 Essence Festival of Culture at the Caesars Superdome the Vice President stated: “Culture is - it is a reflection of our moment and our time."

"Right?' the Democrat said, while engaging in several of her trademark pauses.

“And present culture is the way we express how we're feeling about the moment, and we should always find times to express how we feel about the moment."

“That is a reflection of joy."

"Because, you know,' she added, before an audible pause and eventually breaking into laughter, 'it comes in the morning.'"

Harris History of Blunders

Addressing a White House press conference earlier this month, Harris remarked, “I am delighted to reveal that our collaborative efforts will take a stride forward as we explore ways to enhance our partnership."

"Specifically, our deliberations will revolve around bolstering our joint efforts in space cooperation.”

Speaking alongside Mongolian Prime Minister Oyun-Erdene Luvsannamsrai, the 58-year-old shared, “Our recent discussions touched on the advent of the upcoming era and its implications for your leadership and your vision of the future."

"Undoubtedly, enhancing our space collaboration forms an integral component of this agenda."

"This collaboration extends to leveraging our joint space endeavors to fortify the economic prosperity and advancement of our respective nations.”

In a separate instance, Harris delivered a speech in February to honor recipients of the Congressional Space Medal of Honor.

However, this speech also faced criticism for its oversimplified portrayal of space travel.

Recounting the journey of former NASA astronauts Douglas Hurley and Robert Behnken, Harris stated, “They donned their spacesuits, bid farewell to their families, and ascended an elevator to a height of nearly 20 stories."

"After securing themselves in their seats, they awaited as the reservoirs beneath filled with thousands of gallons of fuel."

"And then, they embarked on their mission."

"Yes, they did,” Harris expressed, followed by her distinctive laughter.
